I own the 242bc espresso burst and it's probably one of the best guitars I've ever played. Purple like to compare them to Suhrs and I don't get that vibe at all from them. Yeah I can see the looks are similar but if anything mine reminds me of a musicman JP 15. Amazing guitars

Hey man ! Love all of your content especially the video quality and recording truly makes this bad boy shine SO I really need your help dude!
Specifically for the "Ibanez AZ 224F " you demoed this one beautifully and although it passed the test (- yes it sounded as good as it looked for sure ) BUT I have to know for the money how does it really compare to prestige or other Ibanez model for the features does this one kill it ? This is probably the hardest comparison to make so to speak cause unlike say sterling jp vs ebmm jp6 these have very very few differences the SOUND and FEEL appear to be equal because the roasting is only a smidge different and the hyperion pickup pairing is virtually the same ! (IM after the HSS models specifically but also considering your model the tequila burst if HH setup can perform just as well!). Is there really a huge sound difference or difference in whammy bar stability between the premium and prestige ? after all the premium is still gotoh steel does but does your whammy bar hold up with abuse? LASTLY from your end of the camera can this HH AZ model mimic strat - neck pickup tones minus the annoying 60 cycle hum even tho there are 24 frets?
Im at that cross road because I want this model but its the one time I dont want to pay for the top shelf prestige AZ cause to me blind test with a premium like yours and I probably would not be able to spot or really feel a difference! Ive only been able to play the AZ 224F very briefly one came through my local store but there was no prestige model to shoot it out against so here I am wondering what your verdict is on this premium not so budget friendly axe. Hope to hear from you soon and im sure a bunch of others too who are struggling between choosing one haha thanks cheers!

Hey Haiko, could you please tell me what effects you using or at least tell me how can I get this sort of tone. I use Kemper profiler and can try out. Would be really helpful. I hear sort of Guthrie tone in here.
@@nirmalkoirala9660 i don‘t use many fx there, it‘s just a bit of Delay in the solo. The Rhythm Guitar is double tracked

These new ibanez guitars look great! I think they over reached on the price points. Most of these strat types are around $2000! . HOWEVER I can buy a prestige rg652 with dimarzio pickups also made in Japan for $899 new. What validates charging more than double? I just don't see people paying those prices in large numbers
Michael Collings I'd say they adress the typical Suhr players, that are accustomed to much higher prices. The AZs are in the same ballpark but stil cheaper than Hi-end suhr or strats- they are really great and amongst the best guitars i played

Very nice demo! I am quite interested in the new series, especially this model. How heavy was this one? Typical strat? A bit lighter? Had some back issues recently and anything above about 3.5 kg starts to be uncomfortable after a while when on a strap ...

I wonder how the alter switch will work with the dual humbucker one. Looking to get a Jackson Marty Friedman X series first, itching for a les paul style guitar but I see the dual humbucker version of this guitar coming after that. Then maybe the Ritchie Kotzen tele. Hopefully by summer namm they will have more colors for the premium flame top version with dual humbuckers.
Bradley Stroup the 2 humbucker version has different split, non-split and power tap (one coil had some boosted frequencies) combinations, but even has 10 combination
I still love ibanez cos of its affordability of its quality guitars. Other brands are just too overpriced.

What a gorgeous guitar and versatile sound! The single coil sounds so Stratty... I am saving money for a Fender Strat (the guitar I always wanted). But now I saw so many youtube reviews about this Ibanez, that it has become a serious option too. I think playability is the most important. I play now a Ibanez RGA (a beast for rock and metal) but 24 frets is a bit too long for my short arms. Before the RGA I had the S370 with 22 frets.

Last saturday I tried the Ibanez series (AZ242BC) at guitarshop 'Fellowship of the acoustics' (no kidding) to feel the playability of the oval C neck. And I tried a Fender Professional, deep C neck. Yep, I think Ibanez did a really good job! It feels slightly better than the Deep C I think.

Suhr sucks they sound horrible and expensive guitars.. with this models you sound much better for a less price and better brand Japanese craft will be always better than others! can't wait to order mine but the az2402icm
About what? That someone copied them? When they copied Fender? John Suhr has proclaimed many times that he doesn't regard Suhr guitars as an infringement on Fender's IP. So, Ibanez should then be fully justified in producing this.
At this point the strat design has been copied so many times it doesn't even matter anymore. I'm just glad that Ibanez is adding modern features like stainless frets, baked maple neck, contoured heel joint. It basically checks all the right boxes when it comes to the perfect strat style guitar for me.
dumb comments like this annoy me so much.. imagine if Ford used all of the 'best' materials making cars drive and operate well before any other company, when other companies used them would people say that Ford wouldn't be happy? Not to mention that Suhr literally used to work in the Fender Custom Shop, wonder where he gets the inspiration for his guitars from...

Schon Yngwie Malmsteen hat es richtig erkannt: Ibanez ist Schrott. Ich hab einige Prestige Modelle. Die sind alle leblos und ohne Seele. Da lob ich mir meine alten Strats und Teles. Instrumente mit Charakter. Und ja, Ibanez kocht auch nur mit Wasser.
Das soll natürlich die Leistung des Präsentators nicht schmälern. Heiko Heinz bringt das mit anderen Gitarren auch zusammen.
Danke Dir, aber, ach, würde ich nicht sagen, wenn ich mir z.B. Metheny, Scofield, Benson, Timmons so anhöre, das hängt schon viel vom Modell und dem Player ab.
Der AZ solltest du mal ne Chance geben, die geht wirklich in eine andere Kerbe und geht vom Klischee des FloydRose Flitzehals usw. extrem weit weg. Erinnert mich sogar sehr an die neuen Fender Professional
Das einzige was mich an dieser Gitarre interessiert und gefällt ist der Hals. Hab für heuer zwar eine Strandberg ins Auge gefasst, aber probieren kann ich die AZ ja mal.
