Ibanez AZ 2204 Unboxing and First Try

Jon has used Ibanez Guitars almost exclusively since the 1970's. At first, it was because they were quality instruments that cost less. Now, he plays them simply because he likes what they do. Here is a video unpacking a brand new, unplayed, Ibanez AZ 2204 model.

The switch puts it into what Ibanez calls “2Hum/Tap Mode” and varies the pickup selection quite a bit. In the neck and center positions, for example, the two single coils are wired in series. www.ibanez.com/usa/products/detail/az2204_01.html

Well it’s definitely much livelier than any strat I’ve played. It is certainly strat-like, but not really meant as a replacement. At least not to me

Hi Michael! Yes, it's the same amp that you see in the video. It's a Laney Lionheart. 1x12" Celestion speaker. 5-watts. All tube. I love the tone it gets!
