I’m gonna say this without posting spoilers, but there’s definitely a miles morales in the main 616 universe, and it’s a very interesting story and it’s revealed in spider-men 2 so please cover that rob
And I think they made mysterio the villain beside the mysterio in the ultimate universe never had an origin for who was operating the avatar but it was cool to find out that it was in fact the mysterio from the 616 universe controlling it the whole time

I know but I honestly loved that couple and their kids were amazing. I think the strange thing about that wasn't the two of them together but it was the fact that someone just super aged up Gwen. Gwen at the time was the same age as Miles. But I think her universe might move faster than his. Even more so after Miles was brought to the main Universe. I mean Gwen spent a year in jail. Miles didn't. IF we took that all into account they should be still the same age but writers took them in different paths which I find to be sad since they were a great couple. SO much better than the couple Gwen AND Miles have in their stand alone books.

Super cool, however my first impression of Miles was in the movie. To me that was amazingly well done. I do not take issue with new characters taking over the mantle of aging heroes. I take issue with bad storylines.

7:15 actually it is true, read the comics bro. 616 Miles is an underground criminal who originally worked for Kingpin i believe, Peter himself confirmed himself in Spider-Men 2 that when he searched up Miles Morales he couldn’t find anything on him and that’s what scared him but that’s all he found: nothing
it was a letdown that after years of that cliffhanger that it was revealed that it was literally nothing but come to learn that isn’t the case

It was a good story. My first real exposure to Miles was "In to the Spider Verse. I liked the movies a lot.
I thought the story was cool. My favorite part was when Main Marvel Peter met Ultimate Universe Aunt May and Ultimate Universe Gwen.
I got a bit choked up at that part, ngl.

This was a really good story for Miles. Bendis giving the critics the finger was one of the best things he ever did. Now having a movie and video game in his name shows how far he came. Progression at its finest.

I like that Miles was the only one to see through Mysterio's head games. Miles is always been a fast learner and adapts to things...it's kinda his thing. Peter has a ton of guilt and Fury feels like he is always in control...but Miles knows what he can control and what he can't...

I think Miles had a better time with Mysterio because Mysterio knows some of Peter's fears and thing to play on. Mile was a blank psych profile.

I do feel like miles getting the upper hand on mysterio was a bit of a mcguffin, but I'm also surprised peter parker didn't expect it from mysterio, considering how many times he's been through this before.
Bendis was wrong though, they did bring back peter and miles went to 616

It crazy to me how likable and how big of a success Miles is, while characters like IronHeart and the Totally awesome hulk just aren’t lol
Miles didnt start off loved though. It took time and different artists interperting the charecter untill they hit a sweet spot.
I believe the "new charecters" arent bad by any falt of their own...they just need the right choise.

I dont like miles at all hate the character totally not require as a black latino mix kid I find myself identifying more with Peter Parker more than Miles I just don't see the need for him to exist outside of stories that have to do with the spiderverse.
He reaches to a different audience of people. A new generation and culturally diverse people.
I'd hope one of the driving factors of MJ & Peter remarrying would have been what was something Rob skipped over of issue 4. MJ was told what was going on by Gwen and that there was a Peter back at the house. Then Gwen told Peter about MJ & how poorly she's been handling the UMU Peter's death. What I was hoping is seeing the anguish on that MJ's face would be why he had to undo the One More Day story arc.

Different people have different gifts. Miles isn’t Peter, they have similar powers, but miles has skills and abilities Peter doesn’t have.
I mean the Spider-Men story was kinda swept under the rug, with Miles meeting the Ultimate Peter Parker again asking for his old web-shooters in Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-man #1 (2014).

Gonna be honest I was kinda put off when Peter died when it first happened and half expect for miles to be a short thing to eventually have Peter come back

We do have a Miles in the main story line.
He's a criminal in Miles run of stories.
Peter Parker was ALWAYS a kid struggling to survive in a big sea of New York. Even before he became Spiderman. But since he became a hero, he had even less time to spare. If another Spiderman popped up and was like "hey Spidey, I'ma help you now", he'd be sceptical for a hot minute, and then he'd be HELLA relieved. I think that's EXACTLY what happened in the Clone saga, too, wasn't it? Or rather, after it. So I think it's entirely in character for him to give Miles the blessing. Of course he wants there to be a hero to save his city.
I like Moralis. Peter Parker has too much history. Back in high school (mid-70s) I was a big fan of Spider Man. But, to be honest, I was an idiot. Spider Man was fun, but he was fun because he was a young idiot. Now he has too much history. Moralis brings back the young idiot. I love it.
I liked the Ultimate Universe. Like our man says its meant to give a realistic feel. Which I enjoyed. Some changes were for the good some were for the bad. But then these changes grew on me. One of the changes that I didnt liked was Miles being Spider-man, but then the kid started to be cool. The only reason I didnt like Miles back then was that Peter's life was fleshed out well in the Ultimate Universe. When they killed him off it made me upset. Such a great story and to dump it for no reason. Couple years later we get the Ulimate Universe back again. Peter came back and now hes fighting crime. Now we have 2 Spider-men in the Ultimate Universe. Its like a giant middle finger. How is two Spider-men in New York going to work? But, I'm an optimist so it could work. Miles can take half of New York while Peter takes the other half and occasionally they could team up. Like I said it could work. In the main 616 there is a bunch of Spider people already in NY. Hopefully new stories can come later in the Ultimate Universe like in the old days.
They're going to put Miles in the MCU..... They're going to use this story. Cause I don't believe Sony owns the movie rights to Miles Spiderman
Omega level threats: Darth Sidious from star wars.... he had the ability to make solar system ending weapons, and control entire decades of galactic culture. Also, the ability to resurrect and get killed by two casts of charismatic trouble makers. That's beyond omega level.

I guess you could cover spider-men 2 now, which answers the question of the main marvel universe miles morales. It doesn’t really go anywhere, unless your reading miles morales right now.
The thing that made me accept Miles Morales was actually the Into the Spiderverse Movie. I think movie Miles is way better than comic book Miles. What actually makes the audience accept a new character isn't making him superior to the old character. You need to make the new character relatable, and they did a great job with that in the movie.
Admittedly I did not like miles when he 1st came out. Because of how tragic the Death of ultimate Peter Parker was. But After some time past I realize he is my 3rd favorite superhero of all time.
I liked the story, but I really wasn’t a fan of miles being better than Peter at like every turn. Now I love me some miles, but he doesn’t have the experience or intelligence of Peter, and Bendis wrote this like if miles had gone to the main marvel universe, he would instantly be a better spider-man than Peter and I just don’t agree with that

Miles black n red suit has a sonar room mapping ping thingy. Its very metal gear tech. Uses sound waves to map environments like a bat or a submarine sonar echo mapping !
I have nothing to say against the entire Miles Morales nor am i in favor of all the complaining on social media and etc ,against the character, just want to say that in these kind of cases and not just this one or just in comics, if the same number of people who complained in social media about something instead complained with their wallets some of these given middle fingers would end up being retracted fairly quickly.
I loved Spider-Men. And what they did with Marvel Main Universe's Miles Morales, and how that ended was... interesting.
