I love when I get off work at 7am and come home that I can watch your videos and feel like I just read 5 issues of a comic I can't afford anymore in only 15-40 minutes. It is a great escape and fun time before doing what I have to do again before work and if I had money, (behind on rent and car payment right now after an ankle brake at the start of August), I really would love to subscribe to you man with money I could afford doing. You really make my day and not much does at this point so I really wanted to thank you.
I think people resisted the idea of Miles Morelos for a lot of reasons. Personally, I loved the idea of Miles because it made the idea of a young New York teenager that was from working class roots more relatable to everyone. However, Marvel also did that thing where they changed all their long time heroes to minority and women. I remember when these publications didn’t do well and Marvel was like, “well they don’t like change.” I disagree with that idea though. I felt like Marvel was trying to wave a magic wand and make the Marvel universe multicultural. The problem with that is that it completely ignores the great differences and meaning behind our experiences. Throwing a different face on a hero over simplified the experiences of that culture. I hope Marvel does begin to really diversify their universe, but i really hope they do it by building up an authentic understanding of the experience of others and not by slapping a new face on an old concept.
How someone can give a thumbs down to a Comics Explained video is beyond me. Even if its a topic, story or character you don't like, you can't deny Robs ability to explain things exceedingly well. So in conclusion, a thumbs down tells me those ppl just are unhappy with life in general and are projecting that disdain here...but...thats ok...we all know that Rob Corps Rules!!!!!!!

I gotta say, I think big time kinda showed that yes, Peter is highly intelligent, but he's no where near the level of Tony Stark or Reed Richard's. The way they demonstrated he was intelligent was by giving him hypotheticals for him to think through, and he just gave answers based on his experience fighting villain as Spider-Man. While this does show intelligence, it means he has something to work off of rather than having to entirely work off of a hypothetical situation, as the exercise was intended.

But I don’t know much on her (not a big reader) and I thought it’d be cool and something new for you too if you did some content around her. Anyways thanks again! I liked Miles better in the Ultimate universe when he was kind of a shield agent superhero mentored by Spider woman getting missions from Nick Fury. I liked him leading the ultimates hanging out with bombshell, kitty pryde, cloak and dagger. His ultimates history was a fun series and the only series other than the Bendis run that seemed to have Miles in character.
If you’re covering SPIDER-MEN, the first time Peter Parker met Miles Morales, then you should also cover the catalyst that made them meet: DEATH OF SPIDER-MAN.

You can't really blame people for not accepting Miles at first, it's nothing against Miles personally, it's just it takes time for characters to gain the trust and respect of the readers/fans, and that trust and respect has to be earned, but Miles seems to have finally earned his place in full
