Just made for the first time this morning, so easy to do, looks and smells like a loaf of bread should do. Will tuck into it for tea with lashings of best organic butter. Far better than my expensive bread machine can do and a lot quicker, I'm hooked.

I've been making bread this way for years! The one thing I do differently is use parchment paper. I put the dough in the paper which I have previously shaped in the cold Dutch oven, then holding the edges, drop the whole thing in. No risk of a sloppy drop or any burnt fingers!

Please Proof the Yeast in a lil warm water and sugar or small amount of flour to determine if your Yeast Colony Blooms nicely and iS ready to work before addinG the other ingredients as old yeast doesn't work very good!✌🤓🌹🥐🌹

I didn't write the cooking time without the lid because I don't know how much the bread browns when you open the lid. However, in general, cook for 15 minutes while checking.

I’ve been making a similar boule and it comes out perfect every time. The recipe I use says to wait 6 hours before baking. Good luck.
