Yea u do that but you should also unplug the green ground wire from the same ignition clip. Doesnt matter if its a 4 or 5 wire ignition. Combine the two and remove the ground. Every single scooter ive ever done that too has always started, regardless of make and model.

take the front plastic off the moped so u can get to the ignition unbolt the ignition (there will be a security bolt thats impossible to undo just drill it out) then remove the ignition and u should be good.

My bro i think you dont need the wire once you disconect or cut the ignision wires it starts with the kickstarts
You still need a complete circuit in your ignition or else you won't get any spark to your plug...

What if handle bars are locked
