I will always be thankful for the months I spent in Punjab India - I can survive anything now. My Aunty and I cooked over a chulla fire and I loved it. I made everything I make at home over there as well. We had snacks, tea, cakes, dahls, subji's, pastas....you name it. Chullas Rule.
Food on this kind of "chul" / flames and coals tastes heavenly....if you eat this type of food you will hate to go back on gas and hot plate and what not...this lady in Rajasthan is amazing. I love this video. Food looks delicious. Wonderful.

Loved this video and the lady in it she so skilled the utensils she is using are sparking clean. Germs and bacteria well as a kid I saw grandmother do almost the same style cooking in rural Pathan village in north of Pakistan not only it was delicious. grandparents lived healthy till they were hundred and grand pa was 103 they were happiest people no mortgage didn't knew cholesterol blood pressure wish I could say that for myself living in the luckiest country Australia for most of my life

they still pay...landowners cheat them. they are dirt poor. no money for medical expenses. they sometimes borrow money when the need arises then get into debt and work like hell to pay back all hteir lives. every one has their problems.
She's cooking my fav. food, bajra ki roti & gatte ki kadhi...really inexpensive & really healthy & very very nourishing, in a kitchen that is most eco-responsible...they walk the walk, don't form "activist groups" for photo ops, as the educated urbans all over the world do
i hope these hard working women teach their children these skills, because people are now going back to basics and they have lost the ancient ways which were healthy and environment friendly...

They are vegetarians and don't consume meat, fish and what ever they make is out of agriculture produce like vegetables, gram and pulses. However, main thrust is on wheat, barley, rice and jowar. You shouod also include milk as a supplementary diet.
