Johnny Carson is the great programme host here. He'd delivered his parts perfection every time. A great man. He'll always be remembered. The Tonight Show is Johnny Carson.
This was from the fall of 1965: the Dodgers had just won the World Series and Dean Martin had begun his NBC variety show. Apparently the show had done a week of shows from Burbank- years before the 1972 move!
April 10, 1965 fell on a Saturday, so this must be from some other day or some other year. I think that set was used for all TONIGHT SHOWs originating in Burbank going back at least to 1966, and it was the first set used after the show was relocated there.

Frank and Dean, two kings of entertainment. How I laughed watching the two of them tell their stories! I miss these great artists!

Terrific!
The correct date for this was October 4, 1965 ..
Makes more sense certainly wasn't on 4-10-1965...a Saturday
Americans were much freer (and happier for it) judging by their banter

It was October 4, 1965. Sinatra makes mention of the World Series and the Dodgers victory.
@@rayjr62 And, Dean Martin's show didn't start until September of '65.

4-10-65 means DD-MM as in October 4, 1965. Hence the world series and Dean Martin show remarks. I wasn’t born for a few decades but it’s obvious! :)
They were having the time of their lives before it was can't do this can't do that
False. I mean you couldn't even say "pregnant"
