Heather Mefford, it is a proven fact that the attitude of doctors and nurses plus a caring and compassionate nature have bearing on recovery outcome and length of recovery time. As a person with numerous health issues that have and still do need hospital and GP support, and believe me when I say that hospital is never a nice place to be, and due to the hospital staff and their care and kindness, let alone their medical skills, it was far easier both physically and mentally, as apposed to having a ward full of Mongolian, blood thirsty warriors.

The background, "theme," music is so overwhelmingly dominant I can't even hear what the narrator is saying!!
You'd think these kinds of programs wouldn't need extra thematic or tension-building elements, like with the soundtrack, because the subject matter is dramatic and tense enough, all by itself!
I'm not suggesting there shouldn't be thematic elements or music, of course, only that there should definitely be a limit as to how overwhelming it is, at the expense of the rest of the program, know what I mean?!? 👍

My husband's father died of a burst brain aneurism. The thing is he had headaches for two years and even walked with his head titled a bit to the side. The aneurism could have been treated but he refused to go to the doctor because he thought he had a brain tumor. He had watched his sister die a horrible death with a brain tumor. She said no surgery because there was no way they could get it all but her pain would get so horrendous no matter what they gave her, that she had the surgery three times. They would dig out as much tumor as they could which would make her pain manageable but we would lose more of her each time. Death was a welcome relief when it finally came. It's sad that my father-in-law had just gone through that three years before his death. He lost his beloved wife to breast cancer one day, and his beloved sister to the brain tumor the next day. He mistrusted the medical profession being able to cure anything.

The background music is just too loud. Can hardly hear the narrator. Why do so many programs these days have to have the dramatic music? PLEASE, producers, don't feel you have to add it. It's not necessary and just ruins the program.

People need to be taught that when you're on a ladder that it accessing more than 2mtrs you must have a person assisting you and monitoring the ladder and the environment! There are too many accidents on ladders and if in industry these are the requirements then they must be made mandatory in personal use! There is no use in having health safety rules in business and not in public use!

It's a really bad idea to dub in background music when dialogue or narration is going on. It overpowers the speaking, and makes it very difficult to understand what's being said...especially for us in the USA who may already have a little difficulty with the accents.
Other than that, I find these shows very interesting and informative.

I know what's going on here. Its the same for all of the episodes. It was released with a 5.1 audio mix, and the commentary was on the center channel, with just a tiny bit on the left and right channels to pad it out. When it was uploaded, or processed prior to uploading, the center and surround channels were not included in the audio mix. Hence, shyte! If you don't like this, don't bother to watch any of them.

Now i know not to do that, go to the hospital if you get an abnormals after a head injury

Hopefully the problem will be fixed before the next program is posted

That ladder fall could've killed him! I know because I fell from a tall ladder last year, and it was 7 weeks in 2 hospitals to recover enough to go home (and follow-up Outpatient therapies in a 3rd hospital). I don't remember anything from the 1st 2 weeks, due to a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) I sustained, as well as the drug induced coma they put me in for better brain health. I got closed skull fractures, a brain bleed, broken ribs, (which punctured a lung and had to be drained so I could breath), and broken collarbone. I was very happy that my brain injury wasn't bad enough to require surgery, and had limited damage. Long lasting issue is some numbness on 1 temple, arm pain and slight double vision. Wear a helmet if you go up on a ladder!

@@baronedipiemonte3990 That's interesting. In the UK it's often preferred for trauma cases with a high risk of internal bleeding. Drugs such as Morphine or Fentanyl can have effects like a drop in blood pressure or respiratory rate. Using Ketamine can cause hallucinations but it's a pretty good substitute in some cases
