      @@erikalulea3608 That’s true, but as a parent, you’re going to know if you were in that woman’s position you would be worrying about your daughter/son who was back on the bike with you. Most people would say, This is your daughter’s injuries and you’re OK you’re going to be fine but you know your daughter is a little worse off. Because they feel at that time, that the truth matters but really telling her the truth might do her more harm than good, raising her blood pressure, causing her to get an anxiety attack and agitated. I would divert the answer if it bothered you to lie to her. I personally would divert the question.

    10 years ago this coming October I got a Care-flite off my farm at age 56 after hitting the ground with the force of a ton! My Arabian mare took off and her right front foot slipped on the edge of our gravel driveway. She cut a hard 90 degree left so she wouldn't fall, and I flew off to the right hitting the ground so hard my helmet came off and landed about 30 feet away! I had a head injury, collapsed right lung, right A/C separation, broken ribs both sides and I broke my back in 2 places. T8 and T9. It was terrifying to have that much pain all over and not be able to breathe. We lived in rural Blue Ridge, TX on our little organic farm approx 2 miles from the firehouse. Volunteer fire and EMS were there at my side in just under 4 minutes and the chopper was about 30 seconds behind the ground ambulance. They landed in the front pasture between the power lines over head. I've never felt pain like that before and not being able to breathe on top of the pain was just indescribable. My cowgrrrrl friend saved my life. Once the awesome EMTs arrived and administered morphine, I was out like a light for 18 hours on major pain meds. I never lost consciousness at the time because I couldn't breathe. It was definitely a game changer but I'll be forever grateful to the awesome volunteer Fire Dept in Blue Ridge. I missed getting put in the chopper and what they did so these shows are close to home for me. I've learned a lot from watching them too. I was combative when they were trying to put me on the board from my hands and knees position I was in so I could kind of breathe. I was combative because they pulled my right should over trying to put me on the board. That is the last thing I remember until waking in the Level 1 Trauma center in Plano, TX at Med Center of Plano, TX. I was there for a week.

      Hello from Abilene, Texas! I was thrown off my daughter’s horse - she stopped on a dime after a squirrel ran out in front of her. I did a front flip over her head and landed on my right hip. I thought for sure I had broke my hip, so I laid there a minute and it actually didn’t hurt too bad. I had a horrendous bruise and soreness. I was so lucky. Horse incidents are no joke.

Helicopter was on the roof within 10 minutes of the confirmation of amniotic fluid. 30 mins later were landing at the main large hospital with a full size and fully equipped nicu unit. After watching most of these episodes (as a person that happens to take multi medications with a few other issues) I am now looking into getting a 🏥Medical Bracelet (they also have necklaces and keychains🏩 now as well😊. I didn't know)...
    I think it would be a grand idea as seeing sooo many people that are in "unable to talk situations" or the docs puttin people in sleepmode to save their life. That medical info is so deadly important to know, really life or death. Quite scary actually if you think about it.

    • @SnowPink90
      @SnowPink90 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t remember it, but at that time I was getting over a sexual assault battery so I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to remember anything. I just finished reading it and that was very upsetting especially since the pilot had a previous crash as well. I thought it would be easy to do on nice days but on rainy, windy or stormy days, that would be tough to do. Felt bad they never found the one nurse. Terrible.
      I live up above Washington, just outside of Vancouver BC.

I had a guy come into the ER after falling 13 feet onto his belly. Normal vitals, breathing fine, he had a huge pneumothorax and had to have a chest tube placed.

One question - the air crews use a lot of equipment, much of it reusable, but I always see them heading back to the helicopter without the backboards, etc. How / when does it get returned to the air crews? Or do they retrieve it immediately but it is edited out of the video?
