Paul, thank you so much for the fantastic review of the Robin's Nest! @acewebby and our team put our hearts into these retreats, and it's feedback like yours that makes all the hard work (like that wallpaper mosaic!) worth it. We're so glad you found the kitchen charming, even with its quirks. You'll be happy to know we've found a solution for your toast cravings: a new induction hob toastie maker will be ready for your next autumn getaway! We can't wait to welcome you back
Thanks so much, and I'm glad you liked the review - I have never done one before, but this lovely place inspired me to! You have an amazing team - it really shows! I can tell it must have taken ages to have done that wallpaper mosaic - never seen anything like it before, and it was done to a very high standard. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I do hope to return soon. Take care, Paul
Thank you Cathy! Hope all is good with you. Yes, this was a perfect place for me, and many others, I'm sure. Having said that I did (for a couple of hours, at least!) enjoy my recent urban foray to Bristol, to do my street photography video there. Take care, Paul
That was a fabulous review Paul! You covered everything in it and answered all my questions. I would really enjoy staying there and it was excellent value! A great find!
Thank you! Yes, I stumbled on it when I was staying in North Devon - I only booked it just a couple of nights before I stayed there! I did some of the video using my vlogging wide angle lens, and I did the B Roll close ups of the accomdation's features (like the microwave and sofa, etc) seperately, using my pancake lens, which has a much wider aperture, so you get that shallow depth of field effect. My first ever review! Glad you enjoyed it Louise. Paul
Hello Paul - greetings from Poland Well that was very different from your usual videos. What a lovely place to stay. I hope you had a really good time there
Well you know me Michael - I try to do different each time! Rest assured, this isn't about to become a review channel though! I just thought some of my subscribers might be curious what these types of accommodations offer, and what they are like inside. It was a very lovely stay here, and I would like to stay here again later in the year - maybe autumn or winter time. It was just so quiet there. Thank you for watching and commenting. Take care, Paul
Hi Paul, Really thrilled you loved the property! And really appreciate such a glowing review. Will certainly look to get a toaster added for your next visit ☺️
Oh, thank you Josiah! Glad you liked the review! It really is a wonderful place to stay. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment. Take care, Paul
@@westcountrywanderings of course, and we also have a few other properties on the same farm site if you wanted to try a different one next time. With more to be added soon as well ☺️
Hi Paul. What a lovely little place to stay. Everything you need for a short stay. We have 2 weeks at the end of June near Liskeard. We are staying at Southern Halt near Dobwalls. Very much looking forward to filling up the SIM cards in the area. Great review mate. Have a good weekend. Take care. 👍🏻🚶♀️🚶🏻♂️
Thank you Watto & Kim! Yes this is a wonderful place to stay. I loved it! You won't run out of things to fill your cards up with there! Bodmin Moor, Rame Penisula, Looe, Tamar Valley, there's lots!! Hope you have a great time. I think Southern Halt is in the old American Railroad Theme Park site - I never got to see it, but my daughter did! I think it closed around 2000. Hope all is good with you. Take care, Paul
Oh that’s interesting to know. Yes need to get plenty of research done before we go. We have stayed in the area a lot but pre YT days so will be filming as much as we can as well as relaxing.
Well this is just what we have been looking for. What a beautiful place to stay for a couple of days. Wow! The price is very reasonable. Thanks so much for the info Paul.👍
Thank you Phil! This place was a gem, and a really great find - I only booked it just a couple of nights before I got there (when I was in North Devon). Yes - and what a location! I think us TH-camrs may have a thing about coffee - it also keeps us going when we are editing!! All the Best! Paul
Wow, looks like a super place to escape from the 21st Century, thanx for a great upload, Best wishes. Ps, heard about your channel from Roy Edwards as follow his uploads.
Thank you! Yes, I have known Roy for sometime. I started watching his videos during the first pandemic lockdown and it was Roy, together with a couple of other TH-camrs, who inspired me to start my own channel about a year later. He is a great chap. This place is a super escape from urban chaos - although I am very fortunate that I don't live in an urban area back home either. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment. Cheers, Paul
@@westcountrywanderings Hi Paul, Thanks for your reply, Roy used to work on my car when I lived in Redditch and when I moved abroad looked him up only to find he has a channel so I enjoy my chats with him and his uploads, when I heard about your channel I thought id have a peek and it's great, i've been to Falmouth in Cornwall and it was fab, your vid's are tops or as we say here in Germany "Spitzer", look forward to more of your vids, have fun.
@@SunShine-dk6rk Thank you so much! I do cover the Worcestershire area as well - The Malverns are my absolute favourites of anywhere in the wider area of the region that I cover, and, I am lucky to live within easy travelling distance of them. I recently went to The Shelselys, near Stourport-on-Severn, to do my monthly vlog. I used to work in Falmouth too (I was the manager of the W H Smith store there in the noughties), but I have yet to cover Falmouth on the channel - I will possibly do that this autumn. Cheers! Paul

Hi Paul, well that looked very comfortable and really well decorated. Glad to see plenty of power outlets we always go with multipoint outlets (I have a european one with a 3 pin UK plug on the end which is useful on trips back to the UK) we often take a kettle too. We have stayed in something similar over here, in a campsite, but it was more of a shed as you say they were ok for 2 or 3 nights for probably cramped for longer. I did feel a bit stifled in this one how was the ventilation in yours. Great review and good advert for them, they will be pleased I'm sure. All the best!!
Thanks David! The ventilation in this one was excellent, as well as the three large Velox windows, both end windows opened out wide too, if you needed that as well. I found a lovely flow of air here, and the temperature inside was perfect. It was a very comfortable and quiet stay here. Yes, good tip to take charges and adaptors as well. Glad you liked the review - not something I have ever done before - don't worry it doesn't mark a change of the channel's direction! The next video is a Railway Series one! Take care, Paul
Thanks Paul - you can turn your hand to anything- so interesting to see where ‘people’ stay! For me personally it’s too isolated- nice to be within walking distance for food shops etc - no good if we were all the same! Must apologise for putting my last comment on David B’s comment- I seem to do this a lot- will try to check before sending- apologies to David B as well.
Oh, no worries Diana - always great to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I have never done a review of any kind before, so thanks for your kind comments. It was a lovely and very comfy and quiet stay here. Take care, Paul
This looks like a very peaceful place to say, shame about public transport options but it's kind of what you expect the further into the countryside you get. Great review!
Thank you Jesse! It was very peaceful and quiet. Yes, as you know I like to use public transport when I can, but I had to use my car because of the stay in North Devon which was very rural. My first TH-cam review too! Cheers, Paul
