You need to drive up and forwards with your hip and shoulders, which gives you thrust....Not so much compression extension legs and arms, rail to rail you need thrust...White lightning Mick, powerful hip and shoulder thrust, going toe to heel, notice their arms and hands are more static..."Parko shredding DBah" is a great education vid, arms low and cocked, thrusting with hip and shoulders rail to rail....Hip going up and shoulders gives the strong forward extension up and forward, quiet arms...What people see their minds get wrong, it ain't up and down toe to heel..
I got your surfskate program 2 days ago, followed your instruction and had the best sesh yesterday. Night and day from my prior form. Great program 🤙Stay well
I have a 5’0” and a 6’6” hamboard. The bigger one has become my favorite since you can really carve and helps teach weight placement. Also foot work and nose riding is fun! Such a fun crossover sport
I’ve got the 6’6! I live in a flat place so it’s kind of a pain to push around sometimes but it’s the best cross step trainer out there. I even have the land sup paddle and it really helps me focus on my muscle movements for normal skating
Great video Kyle! However, it's worth noting that you can develop bad habit by putting too much weight on your front foot whilst training on surfskate. I've spent couple of month training on carver, to my surprise, I've noticed that my surfing deteriorated as i was bogging rails whenever i tried to carve or turn. I guess, it's because if you put too much weight on your back on surfskate you gonna do a wheelie and fall flat on your back. Learn from my mistakes!
This incredible lesson gets better and better and easier to understand every time I watch it.... Thxxxxxx!:) Happy surfing from VIRGINIA BEACH!!!+++:)))🏄
just bought the firewire seaside second hand. It is such an amazing board! I can just take off and basically just stand there as it just flies down the line. Almost no speed pumping needed on that board.
Hi Kale, I decided to follow your advice and got a surfskate to practice. The one thing i noticed is im goofy in the skate, and regular in surf. Really strange, what do you recommend? Thanks!
Hi love your vids can u answer me this? Like im regular in surf but when im skating im goofy, should i switch my skating to regular even if im advanced?
I'm absolutely terrible at backhand pumping lol. Frontside is way easier for me, it just feels awkward the other way around. I always lose all my speed when I go for a turn and end up falling off my board on lefts, because I can't pump backhand.
Love the lady in the background at 7:40. If you watch her closely she is totally leaning into your turns with you. She wants to RIP! She got so winded sidewalk stand-ripping she had to go for a swig of water there at the end.
Hey Kale, I watched another surfskate/surfing (Surf and Show) video and this person said the opposite of what you're saying - that you should compress at the top of the wave and extend at the bottom. I have a surfskate and found your way is more intuitive and comfortable, but what are your thoughts on what he is saying?
Hey kale!! Love your videos. I need your help.. How do I get over the fear of dropping in? That’s basically the only thing holding me back from my dream I guess and it’s pretty sad, because I know I can do it, but my brain makes it seem so much higher and steeper than the wave actually is. Please respond, love from San Clemente 🤙🏽🌺
Thanks for tuning in folks and being patient 🙌🏽
hey kale i can't buy your course cause its say it hasn't got it set up for tax purposes from nz?
Noooo thank you....
It's alwayyys a pleaaasure to tune in...

Awesome tips Kale. This is giving a guy who's never been on a board (just a surfskate) more confidence. Cheers!

Cool I wana try one of those
Damn, I was just looking at these boards, do you reckon I should go with the longer one?

@@KalesBroccoli Can you make one for backside as well? I find that very different from front side shown in this video
@@guavacupcake He's got it in the Ultimate Surfskate Program. Fantastic course with tons of info and very affordable👍🏾

Thank you for your videos, they’re very helpful. It would be great to see a video just like this one, but for generating speed when going backside

Thank you 10000 times for this video. I finally figured out how to generate speed on a short board ❤️
Thank you for your very good video
Thank u coach, i really appreciate it
hello, keep up the great work
Thanks
thanks!!!
Love the channel! If you’re ever in Los Angeles, love to take some lessons with you man.
hey! which smoothstar is your favorite/do you normally use? thinking of getting one
the best explanations! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi! In bumping to generate speed you push with de back foot or front??, surfskate
Great one!!
Thanks
I got a smooth star 3 days ago love it so much i use it everyday when I’m not surfing
Joel Tudor said once "most people try to do too much on a wave and that just looks bad".
Thankyou!
I'm on a learning to surf journey.
So, looks like I might need to buy a skate board to help me to learn to surf. :-)
Hi love your vids can u answer me this? Like im regular in surf but when im skating im goofy, should i switch my skating to regular even if im advanced?
I'm not an expert but I think you must
I'm absolutely terrible at backhand pumping lol. Frontside is way easier for me, it just feels awkward the other way around. I always lose all my speed when I go for a turn and end up falling off my board on lefts, because I can't pump backhand.
In my course I teach you how to overcome this - it’s just a different movement
@@KalesBroccoli ok thanks!
Would love to try it, but, at 65, worried I'd get injured & end up on dry land recuperating..!
Go on my Instagram and watch a similarly aged lady I coached in under one hour to surf skate
hey im a beginner goofyfoot surfer and I just got my first shortboard do u have any advice for me?
Sell it and buy a 10 foot soft top.
@@natural_law lol
i graduated from a 7 foot soft top
Best advice would be watching a video on placement in the line up
@@intimad8r38 thanks
So the most pressing question I have is can you surf goofy and regular like a ambidextrous jedi or you flip the footage?? :D
Is there a good surfboard for under 100 bucks
Love the lady in the background at 7:40. If you watch her closely she is totally leaning into your turns with you. She wants to RIP! She got so winded sidewalk stand-ripping she had to go for a swig of water there at the end.
Wow your goofy is good too!

Watch my video How To Surf Big Waves & Overcome Feat
Surf
Yeah
Well if that guy is intermediate, then so am I...
If you make your video over 10 min, you will get preference with the youtube algorithm?
This has changed
good, that rule was stupid
The girl in the white top / blue flairs, what’s her IG? Asking for a friend
I belive SNAKEBOARDING is the best way to learn and perfect your body movement on land. On top it s much more fun than skating :-)
Okay
@@rasmuszaurins7233 Actually the power you generate comes from the core / hip , the feet only transfer it to the ground.
