I was listening to some music here on TH-cam on autoplay, this song came up and I fell in love with it, thinking it would be a cool idea to make an animatic on. BUT I did this mid-way through my exams cuz I was procrastinating so there isn’t a proper background story to the characters/animatic (For the scenes I thought of whatever came to mind and just drew it lmao. Sorry if it doesn’t make sense or has no logical solution to the character’s situation :’))

Sure it makes some things bad, like how ever since I was little I wanted to be a pilot for the Air Force but I can’t because I’m colorblind. But since I’ve been colorblind since birth I can’t really know what I’m missing out on and I try not to think about it too much.

I feel the boy. When he said: “Make me a monster with paper maché, I'm the kid with a cardboard face.” Because people call him rude names and bullied him which made people avoid him thinking he's a 'monster' or some sort. So he tries to make himself somebody else so he could fit in with the other people.
And that’s where the hat and sunglasses come in.
Uhhh... In the story it's about a boy with a ugly face who wanted to talk to a girl, but was afraid she wouldn't like his face, so he a drew a smiling emoji on a notebook and hid his face behind it to talk to the girl. Wow. Beautiful.

But then again maybe he’s the kid with a cardboard face, because he’s a blank slate and everyone just “draws on his face” making him whoever they draw him to be. Maybe this happens from bullying and people think that he’s a monster as you mentioned, or maybe he willingly draws and redraws himself in order to fit in
