Better to learn it from a 3 minute music video, than real life. I'm happy with the person that I ended up with, but I recently learned that pretty much every girl I had a major crush on before now, liked me too. Yet I didn't have the confidence to make a move. I kind of wish I'd been brave enough to risk the relationship, and face rejection if the feelings hadn't been returned. Just a simple "Hey, I think I might be developing feelings for you. You don't have to say anything right now, I just thought I'd let know I noticed that. Maybe take some time to think it over, and get back to me when you know if you think that's a bad idea, or if we should explore it deeper?"
I'd have probably ended up with the same person I did anyways, but my school years would have had a lot more romance, and a lot less yerning and wasted energies. Also I would have had a lot more experience with romance, which would have made transitioning into my current relationship a little bit less awkward. haha
