      Depends, liquid cooling is great in the south where ambient temperatures are high.
      Air cooling is better in the north where ambient temperatures can accommodate the exchange of heat energy.
      The main differential lies in cooling a hot CPU with already hot air vs cooling a already hot environment with cool liquid.

      Watching other channels after watching GN shows how uncritical most quick “showcases” are. I know this isn’t technically a “review”, but that’s just Linus splitting hairs. If you open up and check out a product and talk about price and expected performance and such, it’s a fucking review. So either up the critical eye a bit or don’t I guess? I’m sure it won’t matter to their business model at all, but I always enjoy when they are more critical of products vs being so positive when there are obvious issues.

      @jvalex18 completely depends on timings and the generation of Ryzen you're running, most of the videos you see comparing ram use shit timings (only very few do it right) so the results are equally as shitty, most of the videos you find on TH-cam use such loose timings the results are hardly noticable. You see pretty decent gains with Zen 2 past 3600mhz.

      For about half the $, you can drop to a 9700K, 2080 Super, 32GB of ram, and cut the two HDDs in half. You still end up with a really good machine, and the R9s are currently running at about what it costs to self-build.

    • @WAFFLES2381
      @WAFFLES2381 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Hickeroar 1) not everyone has the knowledge to self build, and some just don't want to build one. Nowadays they're easily upgrade friendly. 2) There's nothing wrong with buying a prebuilt. I don't understand the purpose of people telling people for about half the $ you can... of course not all prebuilts are great. But companies like Alienware, Ironside etc are pretty great. For one, their warranty policies and customer service is excellent. My R9 has a 9700k, 2080 Super, 32 gb ram, 1tb ssd, 1 tb hdd with a liquid cooled chassis and 850w power supply that totaled $1635 USD. Granted they had a quarantine sale going on at the beginning of the pandemic. I had an R4 for 8 years until I lost it in a fire.

    At work, we buy mostly Dell Precision's. The interior design is exactly the same of a Precision 3630. It actually looks like the Precision got a plastic Alien cover and an AIO hanging outside on the top.

    Even though this price might be somewhat reasonable, it would still feel wrong to buy this as a pc enthusiast. I know, I am not the target audience but systems like these still hurt to see. 2666 MHz RAM is a bad choice, as well as a 120 mm AIO. The interior reeks of proprietary design elements that will make this pc a pain to work with at some point.
