I do also think he's funny and I understand him being protective of his sister but he does act like a bit of a creeper which makes me have mixed feelings about him. I would give more details but that would go into spoiler territory.
Mostly excited to see how Anya will react when she figures out that she now also has a counter-intelligence officer for an uncle, on top of her already exciting dad and mom.
I didn't like him at all, he brought the ep down for me 😭😭😭😭😭 on paper, all of this should've been a win, but for some reason it just didn't work for me. I hope reading more opinions and perspectives on him or just some time passing will help make him at least tolerable to me personally.
This ending was the biggest tease so far of this show!! lol. Also I love drunk Yuri. When he was naming off all Loid's qualities I was laughing pretty hard. They had a pretty reasonable excuse though for acting that way back then.. (even now) that it's indecent to show PDA in front of family members - but their blushing faces says it all. I only wish Anya was in on this "interrogation" to read his mind and find out everything. Loid's "lovey dovey" setup was hilarious. Reminds me of my wife buying all new bedsetting for us after our wedding that had our "play names" on the pillowcases lmao. I wonder when Loid took those photos of them together? They had to have planned for this a while ago. Next week's ep can't come fast enough! Yuri contemplating if he could save Yor from a meteorite was hilarious. To clear things up, Yor and Yuri don't know about each other's side jobs. Each of them thinks the other is innocent and pure while doing unspeakable things to support the other. Yuri thinks Yor literally worked herself bloody to support him, thus the unnatural attachment.
By the way, to answer some of your confusions (not spoiling anything), Yuri also doesn't know that Yor is an assassin. And Loid can drink, but he's been trained so he won't get drunk :D
Yuri is basically a HUGE momma’s boy, except since his sister raised him, she’s essentially his “mom”. Also, there’s 4 more episodes of this first half of the season. There’ll be a break for a few months, and then part 2 of the season will release, making a total of 25 episodes I think for this year.
I think Yuri doesn’t know that Yor is an assassin since like they showed us multiple times people in the Briar family are a bit simple and gullible 😂😂 and Loid doesn’t like to get drunk because for him it would mean showing a weak side of him to someone else
Fun fact: instead of saying spears and meteors, Loid said bullets and nukes in the manga. I assume they replaced it due to Japanese sensitivity to the topic of nukes.
I went to check my japanese volumes, just to be sure. He says : Spears and Nuclear Weapons (Yari and Kakubakudan 槍 & 核爆弾) The nuke change was probably changed for that reason. However I dont see where you saw bullets :)

For a bit of context from the manga, in the chapter where they rent the castle (episode 5 of the anime) Loid mentions specifically that he is trained to not get drunk in the case of situations like Yuri is trying. In the anime they just kinda had Loid say “Leave me alone” to Franky.
I was wondering at first why they left out that scene of Loids trained tolerance to alcohol, because it was a funny moment in the manga. But it makes sense, as Loid flies the plane afterwards, which wasn't in the manga. Don't drink and fly! Was hoping they add it this time but we'll see if it ever comes up again.

Massages are the code word used when Yor had to go kill someone Yuri grew up thinking his Sister was just working herself to the bone to provide for him (thus his devotion to her) Loid (at the party) was meant to believe she was forced to prostitute herself to provide for her and her younger brother, but respects the self-sacrifice Loid's thought process was that it was relatable cuz of his spy work but Yor was taken in by the forwardness of his thinking (regardless of it being murder or sex work) because she doesn't know he's a spy! lmao Yuri went on to become a diplomat turned CI Agent after being a gifted child, But Yor still just thinks he's a diplomat So now Yor is faking a marriage to hide the fact that she's an assassin and Yori is blinded by making sure Loid is a suitable husband to even think about making sure he's NOT a spy.
While I love the show's casting, I partly wished Yor and Yuri were voiced by Maaya Uchida and Yuuma Uchida, to give it that manic Uchida siblings energy.

Yuri grew up thinking his Sister was just working herself to the bone to provide for him (thus his devotion to her)
Loid (at the party) was meant to believe she was forced to prostitute herself to provide for her and her younger brother, but respects the self-sacrifice
Loid's thought process was that it was relatable cuz of his spy work but Yor was taken in by the forwardness of his thinking (regardless of it being murder or sex work) because she doesn't know he's a spy! lmao
Yuri went on to become a diplomat turned CI Agent after being a gifted child, But Yor still just thinks he's a diplomat
So now Yor is faking a marriage to hide the fact that she's an assassin and Yori is blinded by making sure Loid is a suitable husband to even think about making sure he's NOT a spy.

While I love the show's casting, I partly wished Yor and Yuri were voiced by Maaya Uchida and Yuuma Uchida, to give it that manic Uchida siblings energy.
