@@mt.shasta6097 She is a very fit sporty woman with good posture and core strength. And she obviously trained walking in heels from early on. And - she listens to her stylists, her advisers, her PR coaches, because she knows how important a public figure is.
And also as an actress, besides doing all that ballet, yoga, pilates that she claims doing and what not - I wonder did she not have training in posing, standing, walking? I mean on her CV besides stating that she is caucasian it says she is also a 'topmodel' ???? 😅
I don't often wear heels and always get sore / blistered / squeezed toes. A lady heard me complaining about this to a friend in a cafe and changed my life. She recommended that I go to a dance store and get some toe-pads, such as ballerinas use in their pointe shoes. Oh my word, what a revelation! Such a range of shapes, sizes, thicknesses, materials - it's endless. Sore toes from high heels? Not on me, not anymore!
This, is why the walkabout was so cringey. Especially the difference between Cathrine and Meghan walking across the pea stone.😆🫣🤷🏼♀️. Cathrine is the best walker in heels 👠 I’ve ever seen 👍🏻👏🏻
The “oversized shoe” baloney has puzzled me for ages. Common sense and one experience with heels that don’t fit your own heel properly is enough to dispute that. Thank you for addressing this!
I remember the engagement photo shoot. Everything about her was off, the coat was too short, or belted too tight, but the shoes belonged to someone else! Her hair of course was full of terrible extensions. But the shoes stood out!
I used to pay $5 for the samples back in the 60s when they were size 5. Good shoes, too, from a top store. I'd gladly pay double that if I could even find 5s now. Few and far between in a small town. Considering the price today, who wouldn't take a slightly larger size for free?
@@romainegaza3851 I don't believe she's a size 7 any more than I believe her claim that she's 5'7". When she's standing next to Harry (6'1") in flats, there is at least a foot between them. She's 5'2" at best and I think she lies about her shoes as well because she's extremely self conscious about her feet. She had a contractual clause banning the specific filming and photographing of her feet when she was an actress.
I would've thought oversized shoes would cause more blisters, not less, due to more rubbing. You made me laugh so much when you compared MM to the dog in the shoes plopping its feet up and down!! 😂😂😂 Another great video thanks beautiful . ❤❤❤
@@savannahsmiles1797She did ballet when she was younger so it could date back to those days. Considering the amount of work she has had done it is truly strange she hasn't done anything about her feet.
Here's more "free" advice: If you're going to be in photos where others will critique your shoes, make sure they're clean! No mark on the heel from driving--change your shoes when you arrive at the event. I can't believe Meghan appeared for her engagement announcement in shoes that were dirty (and too big).
Being rather dull, careless and perfunctory about her physical appearance, Ms. Markle is completely out of place when it comes to public appearances and engagements in higher societies, let alone in royal circles. Next to the Princess of Wales Ms. Markle stood there like a limp apology.......... somewhat incongruous.
These nude Altazzura shoes were the ones she ‘forgot’ to return when she did a photoshoot for Reitman’s. It’s mind boggling that she had the gall to wear the exact pair on her engagement announcement LOL 😂
Pretty sure she wore them at the then Prince Charles’ birthday garden party, where trying to steal gifts would be rude enough but then she stuck her tongue out at Camilla asking the duo to leave.
@@judywright4241 Wait! What??? MM tried to steal GIFTS for someone else at a royal garden party? Why did I not know this? I have questions. Lots of questions.
It has been my privilege to own several pairs of Louboutins and Aquazurra shoes over the years . Most of these shoes have a 100mm heel and that’s higher than 4” which is quite hard to balance in . I usually went for the 80mm option which still looks sexy, but I can balance in them . Both Louboutin and Aquazurra actually recommend that you go half a size up so I buy a 37.5 ( 4 and a half UK) and find they fit perfectly . If you size up the way MM does, you literally “ walk out” of your shoes and they’ll end up looking like you’ve fished them out of a dressing up box ! Her shoes will make her scrunch up her toes to grip to keep them on and in stockings , that would be nigh on impossible . If I’m wearing stockings , I use a Dr Scholl grip on the toe box to keep them comfortably on my feet as shoes feel bigger when you’re wearing stockings or tights . The engagement pictures showed Meghan in incredibly shabby shoes and I seriously looked and thought “ who on Earth told her that was a good look ?” . It looks shabby . She doesn’t really dress well for her body shape to begin with and so the ill fitting shoes just compile with all her other ill fitting garments and even when she went out with the late Queen, she looked shabby . To elongate your legs , stick with neutral heels, don’t try to go all matchy-matchy , you’ll cut off any height advantage you have using black or dark heels . Catherine knows this and wears nude suede pumps ( always a good choice ) with many outfits whereas Meghan tries to colour match and that makes her look stumpy . Also , if you’re short ( as I am ) don’t wear strappy pumps as they’ll cut you off and make your ankles look big even if they’re not - anything that runs across your shoe like the worn laces on those engagement shoes , just looks tatty rather than sexy . Stick to well fitting pumps as unless you have perfect feet and toes , sandals will also show up flaws with toes and bunions on display ( Victoria Beckham ) . Find a comfortable well fitting shoe and buy it in various colours if you can but buy two black pairs and wear them alternately . Only wear black with trousers where you won’t abruptly “cut off “ your legs or with black stockings and a dark ( preferably black ) skirt or dress , ditto that even with flat shoes or sandals . That horrific sight of Meghan in flat black sandals with the ill fitting shorts suit at the Invictus Games was the polar opposite of chic ! Personally , I think Meghan has a bee in her bonnet about Catherine of whom she’s insanely jealous . Meghan should learn to love her own body and find her own vibe instead of emulating someone who is of model proportions and would look good in a jute sack ! We can’t all have that but we can utilise what we do have . Being small and petite and blonde , I have had to be careful not to look like a fragile doll all my life , and as I get older , dressing myself appropriately is trickier . At 42, I’d not have donned an oversized ill fitting beige shorts suit and tried to muscle in on an injured veterans parade . The woman has no class .
Are Louboutins comfortable to wear, considering how much they cost? I've never been lucky enough to own a pair so I'm curious. I imagine they are just as uncomfortable as any other heel though
She has to be the only person who can make a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos look like something she bought on sale at Kohl’s. And this is not a criticism of shoes on sale at Kohl’s!
You know it's not easy to be able to steal shoes in your perfect fit. You know like the one's she wore at the engagement interviews. The one's she forgot to return after a photo shoot!!!!!
Am I the only one who hates stiletto heels and prefers thicker heels and wedges? On Meghan especially, the stilettos resemble stilts. Why does she even wear them? To be as tall as Catherine? If you're average height (like I am) or if you're short, then I think it's far better to just accept it and wear a moderate heel than to artificially jack yourself up by wearing 4-inch stilettos.
Meghan Markle is 5"6" tall and I don't think the stiletto heels do much for her other than look like an obvious attempt to make her appear taller as you suggested. She'd look much better in a lower heel that complements her height, and an assortment of custom made shoes that accommodate the bone structure of her feet while looking fashionable.
It also just draws your eye more to the fact that her lower body is longer than her upper body proportions. In fact it makes it look worse which only reminds one that she has a square torso and no waist.
I'm 5-3. I've worn heels (never over 3 inches and almost always a block heel, or at the very least, a thicker stiletto), but since I met the man who became my husband, I've worn flats. He's a quarter of an inch shorter than I.
Yes, I thought that was ridiculous. As you said, made no sense. Agree her posture is terrible, clothes are terrible, hair is always messy, on and on! Lol, the Markle lurch!!!;;
It always surprises me that she has never fallen flat on her face by coming out of these too big “Minnie Mouse” shoes. The worst examples were those awful tie up things she wore for the engagement and those gold sandals for the fake “near catastrophic car chase” were a mistake because they drew attention to her hideous feet.
@@neverloozehope2238 YES . She has got difficult stand and walk when she wear heels . Because her leg has got problems. She Leg really thin and short . Look at her half sister . Meghan is lucky ONE . Her ankle muscle has strunk because her AGE . So she likes to wear slippers and flat shoes . WHAT HARRY WANTS HARRY GETS ! Harry ! ????
Honestly, she has the ugliest, most horrific pair of feet I have ever seen on a woman! No wonder why she always covers them up. They give me nightmares honestly haha
I believe Catherine wears nylons with grips on the sole which prevents her heels sliding around. My favorite way of getting my heels comfortable is to use Dr Scholls ball of foot orthotic. I can wear them all day long with those pads. I had issues wearing heels lately after an hour, but that was a game changer. It redistributed my bones and made it work.
Hush puppies high heels were my secret weapon. I worked for a home builder and needed shoes that were comfy cute and safe for showing lots/homes in a construction zone. They were more comfortable than my gym shoes.
I have worn a ball of foot pad for years. It helps tremendously. My problem now is that most shoes tend toward a wider width. I have a narrow foot, and it is getting impossible to find narrow shoes no matter what the cost 😢
Right? I heard that about why she wears shoes that are too big for her right after the engagement announcement where she wore that awful trench coat tied in the front. She looked so sloppy. I knew the oversized shoe story was baloney but thought they were “being nice” to help her cover for her bad look. Also she takes too long strides as she walks. It makes her look overly eager and lacking poise and grace, and her feet don’t follow each other, and her hips, often she seems to be overdoing the swing in the hips…to try to look sexy(maybe?) but the overall effect looks messy and ridiculous. I know she put “supermodel” on her description for herself but everything about her clothing choices, posture and gait reveals that to be another of her *ahem* mistruths.
@@LilyAmongThornsthat engagement announcement was so cringe. Sloppy is right. What was with that coat? And the shoes were not only too large, they were DIRTY! Yuck!!
I´ve worn high heels (minimum 10cm) for decades in the office (often 11hours) and even on events for more than 10 hours and there is one big criteria I´ve learned: the shoe has to fit the first time you slip in, especially the balance. A pump with 3cm can be ill balanced and cause an injured ancle as easy as an 12cm high heel. When the heel does not sit in the right spot the balance is off and you should not buy it. No matter the how ´good´or fashionable the brand might be. And when you find the right one: buy it in different coulours, but make sure to try every single one first as there could be differences due to the production process. But make no mistake, good high heels are not cheep (minimum € 150,--), but you will not regret it, because you can wear them a long time. I´ve also made sure to exchange the plastic or metal end on the heel for rubber for better grip right after I bought them.
Thanks for the info! As a former flight attendant from the ‘70’s I sympathize with having bad feet! (Have heard mm has them too) It’s taken me multiple surgeries and still can’t comfortably wear high heels which I adore! Sometimes I purchase and just look at them & occasionally try them on… very sad
You should just do a photo shoot in them for fun. Even sitting and crossing your legs. No one needs to know you didn't wear them out! I have bad feet too, but just think of all the adventures they took us on!
Me, I worked retail pharmacy for 20 years. I was on my feet for 8-13 hours a day. I found that I had problems wearing heels after 10 years. Now I have severe neuropathy in both feet and wear a brace on my left ankle. I don't wear heels, period.
I believe that the reason Meghan wears shoes that are too large is because she has bunions and is trying to get a roomier fit in shoes which are unsuitable and too high for that foot issue. The other is reason is that the dirty beige shoes were the ones that she pinched from the Reitmans photoshoot, so they were not hers to begin with. Who knows how many other pairs of wrongly sized shoes she absconded with🤣🤣
Yes! I thought the same, my sister has a bunion and sometimes goes up a size to get a fit around it. I assumed Megain wore bigger shoes for her bunions or because the shoes were freebies.
My favourite shoe image of Meghan is the infamous Windsor walkabout where they greeted mourners for the Queen. She looked as if she’d left her broom at the back door and was hobbling round on those toothpicks…🇦🇺
Beebs, Even at my advanced age, I have learned SO MUCH about fashion and style from you. Thank you. Off topic, have you ever heard about Princess Fawzia of Egypt and Empress of Iran? Besides being absolutely stunning, she was the epitome of style, elegance, and grace. You might like her.
I always assumed Meghan wore shoes that were bigger was due to her complex with her feet. Apparently she feels like her feet are too long, and she might wear shoes not her size to make them look “smaller” in comparison to the shoes. Like “Oh look how dainty her feet are, she can’t even fit into the shoes.” It makes me think of the ladies that intentionally wear baggier clothes in order to look skinny. I don’t really think it works in either situation.
WOW, size 5 1/2? Wow that's small. I find that when Meghan was " pregnant" she only wore stilettos, and now she's always wearing flats, even with dresses pretty strange. With the 4 pregnancies I've had I rarely wore heels. I found them way too uncomfortable and wobbly.
Something i have to give her credit for is the skill she has for keeping her clown shoes on her feet. If my shoes were that much too big i’d step right out of them as i walk. Funny thing to put on your resume though. The ability to walk in giant shoes without coming a cropper. 😂 The shoes you featured were lovely. The blue ones you’re about to order are very pretty! I’m totally jealous! Damn that exchange rate and double damn the insane international freight prices at the moment 😖
I need her to teach me how she keeps them on! I've had to buy shoes that are a half-size too big when there's no 11.5 (which happens a lot!), and I've walked right out of them on occasion, even with that stick-on padding you can buy. HOW DOES SHE DO IT? lol
I get it now, she wears her shoes a size too big because she wants the leaning posture. It means she can lurch in front of Harry quicker because she's already primed to lurch. What an advantage, she can jet propel herself front and centre!
I loved today's video, I love shoes!!! Everything you said is absolutely correct and common sense. I subscribed to your channel because you are the only person I've see able to discuss Megan Markle in a balanced way without meanspiritness. I don't care about the woman one way or another, but her clothes irk me!! I'm no fashion plate but I love clothes and have for all my 64 years, and I love to see them worn WELL. Thank you, Beebs, for being YOU.
This is a trick commonly used by women who consistently return shoes after a couple of uses, who resell their high end shoes or borrow them from designers / Stylists. It's also very Cali girl trendy to disdain hose, but there is actually very good reasons why people wore sock or hose with shoes, they protect the inside of the shoe and also make the shoe ride the foot better with less friction that causes blisters and other foot problems, not to mention looking far more polished.
Going bare legs is trendy but make wearing shoes uncomfortable. Too many women have legs that look unattractive without stockings. Meghan’s legs aren’t pretty. She need stockings just like she needs proper undergarments. I like some of her outfits but they are just I’ll fitting. Wearing a expensive dress that fits poorly makes it looks like it came from Walmart. That’s such a waste of money.
Surely wearing shoes that are too big would be more likely to give you blisters than shoes that fit correctly - even flat shoes. Unfortunately, being elderly, having arthritis and two foot operations I can no longer wear heels. Don't know where that "expert" came from but she is talking a load of old cobblers.....I can remember when pointed toed shows came out - ouch - that's showing my age, and we used to pack the toes with wet tissue before we wore them the first time so the there was not a line in the leather between your toe and the point. A good point to remember when buying shoes - they should never need "breaking in". Shoes should always feel like you could walk straight out of the shop in them. Super interesting vid Beebs - love your take on fashion - you are so sensible... Love from Oz.
Catherine wears the tights with the grippers on the bottom to keep her heels perfect. It took me over 60 years to find shoes that fit like they were designed for me. Endless comfort. Those strappy shoes she wears they have alleged she demanded for a photo shoot she did in Canada and took with them.
I love your content and that you give practical advice via examples we can all see, so thank you for that! 😊 Also, I had an a-ha moment while watching and I googled “Jessica Mulroney high heels”…a quick scroll revealed 3 pair of heels that were too big. Perhaps MM got this advice from her former friend/stylist?
I really like your how-to's! The most important thing I've learned from you is to accept your body as it is, not how you wish it was. Dress accordingly. Thank you! 😁
I dont "oversize" but I do purchase a 1/2 size up for all my heels to give my feet some room to slide. I found after years that it makes wearing them way more comfortable.
I've heard that feet size change depending on the time of day- they swell slightly during the day. So I guess going up half a size makes sense if you're going to wear them at night. Oh just after I wrote this, Beebs said it!!
But then how don’t you slide out of them? I have one foot that is a size smaller and I have to cushion it with all kind of padding so it stays on my foot 😮
I love the women who rarely wear heels and then when they do, they lean forward like Meghan does. They look so silly! A couple of lessons at charm school would fix that.
Hey Beebs, awesome video (as usual)! Meghan’s fashion disasters - I mean “styles” 🙄- always get tagged as inspired by Diana’s, but I honestly think she’s as much inspired by the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy who, like Diana, was a 5’10 willowy blonde and managed to make almost everything she wore look chic and polished because she knew what worked on her frame. There are so many styles Meghan’s tried to rock that fell flat with a thud on her but looked wonderful on CBK - namely the white button down with black skirt that CBK wore in March ‘99 but made Meg look like the waitstaff, and CBK’s white Fire & Ice Ball dress that Meg very obviously based her wedding dress on. MM even went on record in an interview once stating that CBK’s wedding gown was her favorite of all time. I’d love to see you do a comparison piece between them, getting your opinion on why so many of the CBK-inspired looks looked so iconic on her but looked a mess on the Duchess of Don’t.
I was reading a wiki entry on CBK and they actually quoted MM as saying she was one of her style icons! Not a good idea since they had totally different bodies and I think it is why MM wears neutrals.
EXACTLY!!! Couldn’t agree more, Margaret. I’ll admit it - CBK has always been a huge influence on me (I was 12 when she died, so this started waaaay back) and being um, rather curvalicious from all angles and of average height, I was teased mercilessly in school because I was wearing the right styles and colors for Carolyn, not for myself. I thought the clothes would make me, not understanding that it was Carolyn who made the outfits what they were. Meghan is doing what I was doing: Expecting the outfits to carry her, because she hasn’t an iota of CBK’s natural charisma or mystic. As someone who still considers Carolyn my #1 fashion inspo, throughout the years I’ve stopped flat-out copying and instead take parts of outfits I C wore that I loved, even if it’s just the vibe of it, and interweave my own personal style for simple, polished comfort.
Beebs- I love your channel. Princess Catherine looked beautiful again today at Wimbledon. Maybe you could do Wimbledon fashion through the last few years (and US Open- Meghan)?
Amen, you finally called it ❤ I really enjoyed this video but I cannot grasp what’s going on in that woman’s head: oversized heels, wrinkly clothes, *that* ill-fitting strapless bra, etc. It’s as if she doesn’t have a mirror 🤦🏻♀️
Top tip......if your feet do tend to swell throughout the day, especially when wearing heels, DO NOT TAKE THEM OFF UNTIL ITS TIME TO TAKE THEM OFF AND LEAVE THEM OFF!!!! Taking shoes off takes the compression off, too. Even for a second, your feet with blow up and then it's nearly impossible to stuff your sausages back into the case. And your feet will hurt even worse in them. Suffer through your day or event or whatever whilst keeping your shoes on.
Since my left foot - just the left one! always swells in summer over the course of the day I can arrest to this. emilyallen you are laying down FACTS! I wear heels to the office and if I slip the left one off it is a nightmare to get it back in. Don't do it!! 😂 (I keep baby powder in my desk - that helps a little.)
My mum also told me this tip. I am in a very hot country and even in flats my feet swell so yea I suffer through the day when wearing closed toe shoes.
I was super pleased to see Catherine wearing flats the other day. Either her or an assistant pays attention to the details of the surfaces of what she’s going to be walking on that day, and the weather. Smart girls. (Or boy 🤷♀️)
Funny, I recall hearing Megs demanded Aquazzura shoes at a shoot and then stealing them. So maybe they were the wrong size and she tried to own it buy continuing to do it so she couldn’t be called out. Seems far fetched but a lot of what she says and does is!
I haven't worn heels in 30 years. I went to a boot shop that hand makes cowboy boots and had a pair made, this is the first pair that I can walk all day in them. Worth every penny I paid.
Thanks Beebs, very interesting and insightful. I do buy a half size bigger regularly and you are right, I have generally not gone for a full size bigger except with Vivaia where I do seem to need a full size bigger. I collect second hand Prada and with these I'm a half bigger. You so need a half size up when they are pointed and high. I've looked at 7 or 9 and I want to say a big thank you as I have now purchased 2 pairs of the lower heel sandals and they are so comfy and also very elegant. Keep up the great work Beebs, great job! Oh and yes M is a total narcissist - whatever the trolls say. Jane, UK :)
I have 3 pairs of Aquazzura shoes. They run large to me. But very comfortable even the really high heels that I rarely wear. I find they are well balanced and easy to walk in. Cheap heels are not always well balanced even when they fit, J Simpson heels do not feel balanced to me for example. I honestly do not understand why Markle ruins beautiful shoes by wearing the wrong size. The only thing I can think of is her bunions, her foot is so distorted maybe the proper size will not fit across in a pointed toe???
I searched the comments for someone who’s already mentioned the misshapen feet. I also thought wearing the clown shoes was because of bunions or deformities.
That's pretty much what I was thinking. Her toes and bunions are bigger; her heel is slimmer. She probably doesn't get a wide shoe but goes 2 sizes up instead.
She stole those Aquazzura shoes that she wore at her engagement interview. They were from a Toronto Reitman's commercial she starred in. She walked off with them. They were furious. They asked for them back and she ghosted them. You can still find the commercial on youtube, I think.
I think Real Housewives Recap did a video on Megan’s feet and showed how her toes were airbrushed in a lot of photos. So now I always look at her feet. 😊
I’m not sure about other countries but in Australia many shoes now have hollow plastic heels so you can’t even replace worn heel tips even one time. So, no matter how good the leather is, you can never get your wear out of them and must throw them away. Drives me nuts. Does this happen to others? It’s so wasteful.
@wendybond, in the US, there were once shoe repair shops in every city or small town. The trend toward athletic shoes made of throwaway materials put these shoe experts out of business. I still have high quality heels from the 80s and 90s that can no longer be repaired for lack of skilled cobblers. It's a throwaway world.
@@mt.shasta6097 we have cobblers still but they tell me you can’t even fix nails into the plastic frame the heels are made with now. Even ones costing $150. It’s a sad waste for sure.

Great topic! 5 1/2 - you are dainty! You must be able to pick up some good clearance deals every now and again. 😊 One good piece of shoe advice I've gotten was when putting on shoes, never ignore even the slightest pinch or rub, thinking, oh that's nothing. What seems like no big deal will be agony four hours from now.
My mother would say the same thing. "Get a half size bigger because your feet will swell." On a high school field trip she made me wear shoes that were too big and then kept scowling at me through it because I was clomping around on a wood floor at an art museum. I was trying my best to be quiet but she just kept scowling and telling me to stop stomping. I wasn't, the heels were flopping off my feet. Now that I can buy my own shoes, I get ones that fit and now I can walk properly in them.
I forgot to tell you how valuable your your product recommends are in this video!! I’m a person that does not know the names of fashion types or garment types and this video was extremely educational! You give me hope and encouragement! Thank you! You’re a Gem!!💎
Beeb? The reason MM's clothes and shoes didn't fit properly is that she bought the samples. Her clothing items were not tailored to fit her. She bought designer items at retail prices, in other words, the sample. MM thought that just wearing designer items was enough; that fit didn't matter.

I never wore extremely high heels, but I did wear 3-4" heels for nearly 40 years while working. I never had the funds for designer shoes but always wore the correct size for my feet. It could be a combination of the height and non-designer shoes that led to gnarly toes. These days I'm all about comfort, comfort, and more comfort.
I agree about heels. However, as a previous sufferer of plantar fasciitis (which is very painful), I was advised by several walking shoe experts to buy my shoes one size bigger than my measured size. Ever since I've done that, I've had no more foot problems. And as for heels, I haven't worn them in years! 😂
Kuru shoes helped my pf slowly heal, along with proper stretching for my foot (gently pushing the top of my foot towards my heel gave me relief and eventual healing; the typical stretch to lengthen the plantar tendon only made my pf worse).
Hey beebs!! (Absolutely LOVE saying beebs! Haha) thanks for this shoe video, I don’t wear ones that are too big, but your suggestions, especially for achy/injured feet, was VERY helpful to me. I broke my foot in 2006, and I’ve struggled wearing heels again ever since, so I’m gonna check that 7 or 9 site out very soon! Thank you! You’re so good! I’m learning ALOT from you on the daily!! Love it here! LOVE IT!! Thanks so much beebs! Keep doing what you do! I’ll keep soaking up the priceless knowledge bombs you drop!! Wonderful!! 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛 (just for you beebs!!) 🌼🌻🌼🌻🌼🌻🌼
This was informative. To my dismay, I learned wearing shoes in which the toes and arches need to curl to hold them on can result in a painful foot condition called plantar fasciitis. This includes ballet flats.
Many thanks for this and your other videos. You are very right in that ill fitting shoes cause a great deal of damage to the feet and posture. They can also leave you feeling very grumpty, due to the pain and discomfort. But, at the end of the day, one has to LIVE AND LET LIVE. GOD bless you.
Full knee replacement, a shattered ankle and dislocated foot ended my time with heels 😢 I miss wearing them, but it’s made me think creatively about how to style my looks around my footwear. Got away with wearing heels for 59 years so now they sit forlornly on shelves gathering dust because I can’t bear to part with them in the hope that I might one day wear my treasures again😊
Im 74 and really enjoy your videos for the information you share about the why of fashion "rules." Today I got a blast from the past I'd forgotten about. That is shoe jewelry. In high school all shoe stores had that. Many girls then were still taught sewing and I made most of my clothes. I'd use the dress fabric on shoe jewelry made for that purpose. Fun stuff. And there's today's story of the olden days!
I don't understand how she can even walk and not hurt herself with floppy high heeled shoes! It's kind of amazing that she can even walk normally with them.
Just wanted to say I’m really pleased to have recently found your channel. You present so well, clearly intelligent and thoughtful, and shine an interesting lens on that awful Meghan Markle, and I love the clothing and style talk. I look forward to your videos. Sending you kindness from New Zealand. 🥰 🇳🇿
Everyone should go in and your shoes fitted at least one time. You really need to know the difference between a B width and a wide width. A lot of people assume that they need a bigger size, when really they need a wider width. That really helps to get rid of the clown shoe feel as well. Great video! Thanks.
Hi Beebs Your voice is so kind and soothing, even when disparaging someone’s style. I wonder if MM wears large shoes because of her history with bunions. Apparently she has prominent bunions and hates her feet. Keep up the good work.
I heard once that Harry's wife on a few occasions has stolen the shoes after a photo shoot so I always thought that was why her shoes are to big. She probably thought well if this is the size they brought me this must be my size or this is how your supposed to wear shoes because she has never been intelligent or savey in the fashion department.
I heard to order a half size up in heels for all day wear and while for foot swelling it helps not everyone has that happen. I will definitely be buying that cotton you suggested for my pointed toe Lk Bennett heels. Thank you for always being kind with your advice while still driving the point home!
My personal experience, wearing heels a size big give me blisters from floating around. There are little silicone strips you put on bottoms of your feet to keep the shoe from sliding around. The second one makes sense. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE cover her posture. Every photo of that Gollum pose😂
It's not just her posture. The woman has a 3 foot stride and walks like a farmer mucking through the mud. She will be needing hip replacements in the very near future.
@@druseyfirecasterI think her stride and posture has something to do with being short, comparatively. I'm only 5 ft. and I usually overextend my stride so I can keep up with others or to feel more confident. (I hunch a little too, mainly because my core muscles are weak.)
Here's a possibility. I think her shoes are always big because they are freebies. She makes the PR deal, and they say, "What size?" and she gives them a size that might end up being too big but that would be better than too small which wouldn't fit, and she wants those freebies...sooner than later.
I always thought she buys bigger sizes in shoes and clothes in the ( clearly mistaken) belief that it makes her look smaller, smaller feet, smaller body. Either way she’s wrong. If accomodating an extra large toe or bunions, most normal people go up the size or half size, but include inserts around the offending toe/bunions so that the rest of the foot is fitted properly into the shoe/clothes. She obviously can afford the customisation so it baffles me why she continues to wear clothes and shoes that are clearly the wrong size, let alone the wrong shape! 🤦♀️
Hi Beebs! Loving all your interesting content.Such useful and helpful, practical info! Loved seeing the shoes you liked, too! They're awesome. Thanks for sharing this footwear info with us! Idea for a future video: could you tell us a little about yourself, where all your expertise (which many of us have come to trust!) and experience comes from, where you learned to do makeup, etc ... etc... l think MANY of your followers would enjoy this and would be here to listen. Thanks a million for this interesting video... ~Ali (Nova Scotia, Canada) :)
+1 👏 Thanks for posting. I'd love to know a little about Beeb's background too, but as I'm new here, I wasn't sure if it had been mentioned in previous videos.
The Markle Lurch...ha ha! Well I now have to get wide toe boxes for comfort and to reposition everything. As well as a lot of zero drop shoes. A lot of my foot pain has stemmed from pointed toe reshaping my foot over time, so I'm working on getting the shape back to a natural one like a baby (and how baby shoes have the wide toe box). It has really helped a lot of the forefoot pain I've been having!
As someone stated prior, buying shoes a size (more like 1/2) size larger has been said for decades. I remember hearing it as a young girl in the 80s on fashion segments on talk shows. But that was mainly for wearing shoes with no socks/stockings. It's 2023 and there are so many excellent no show sock options, even for heels, out there that the advice is very much outdated.
Great points-spot on! Posture so important & sets one's bones! Many women take too big steps & walk fast like men. If they could see themselves, they would stop walking like that.
Wearing really high heels is easy. 1) Stand. 2) Walk less than 10 steps. 3) Sit 🤣👠

@@sandyno1089 Oprah called them "Sitting Shoes" because that's all they're good for.

For a woman who is supposed to be into yoga and Pilates, she does not practice core exercises

Queen Letizia of Spain wears high heels good too.
Meghan has very long, deformed second toes.
Honestly, MM looked completely hammered on that walk about!
Totally agree!!!
MM stumbles around with her to high and to big shoes like beeing drunk!
It really is an art to walk in sky-high heels! I am so glad that I don't have to do that. But the first part of the art is THAT THEY FIT PROPERLY!
The “oversized shoe” baloney has puzzled me for ages. Common sense and one experience with heels that don’t fit your own heel properly is enough to dispute that. Thank you for addressing this!
I think it’s her misshapen toes Probably can’t find a proper shoe
I think if Meghan wore rounded toe pumps (that fit) it might might make her feet at least look smaller.
Looks like the suede heels she stole from Reitman's in Canada in your promo.
@@georgiafrye2815you’re correct. She stole these shoes that’s why they don’t fit her. Keri💜
She stole those shoes from a photo shoot😢
I remember the engagement photo shoot. Everything about her was off, the coat was too short, or belted too tight, but the shoes belonged to someone else! Her hair of course was full of terrible extensions. But the shoes stood out!
Those were the shoes she stole from the Reitmans photoshoot.
This. She steals them!! @@trishaharding4682
The coat was ill-fitting. She looked pregnant, TBH. It cut her off in all the wrong places.
Yes I agree , it’s like she borrows clothes that are not fitted to her or her size .
Weird lady for sure
Yes, she looked like she had just come off a long flight. She was a mess. And the shoes were dirty which in my mind ruins the entire outfit.
Sometimes I wonder if she doesn't get sample sizes from designers, so they don't fit her but she wears them anyways because...free.
I used to pay $5 for the samples back in the 60s when they were size 5. Good shoes, too, from a top store. I'd gladly pay double that if I could even find 5s now. Few and far between in a small town. Considering the price today, who wouldn't take a slightly larger size for free?
Was thinking the same, but she is size 7 and usual sample sizes is size 7
@@romainegaza3851 I don't believe she's a size 7 any more than I believe her claim that she's 5'7". When she's standing next to Harry (6'1") in flats, there is at least a foot between them. My guess is some sort of adhesive. Otherwise, magic.
Here's more "free" advice: If you're going to be in photos where others will critique your shoes, make sure they're clean! No mark on the heel from driving--change your shoes when you arrive at the event. I can't believe Meghan appeared for her engagement announcement in shoes that were dirty (and too big).
Cause she's a dirty person, so is Sparry. Did you see how she sweated in that brown outfit 🤢
Yes, and stolen from Reitman shoot!
@@donot2786well stated. I was appalled at most of her lame attempts. She is one that fails to listen and it shows.
Plus wearing coats that are too short so the dress or skirt shows under it. Not classy
These nude Altazzura shoes were the ones she ‘forgot’ to return when she did a photoshoot for Reitman’s. It’s mind boggling that she had the gall to wear the exact pair on her engagement announcement LOL 😂
😂😂 it’s typical of her
Pretty sure she wore them at the then Prince Charles’ birthday garden party, where trying to steal gifts would be rude enough but then she stuck her tongue out at Camilla asking the duo to leave.

That's what I thought. She really likes to burn people in a public way after she's used, abused and stolen from them, doesn't she?
@@judywright4241 Wait! What??? MM tried to steal GIFTS for someone else at a royal garden party? Why did I not know this? I have questions. Lots of questions.
Proper shoe size is so important!
I assume you meant 8cm? Not 80?
@@MissJensk1 Louboutins are measure in mm , my bad .

She has to be the only person who can make a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos look like something she bought on sale at Kohl’s.
And this is not a criticism of shoes on sale at Kohl’s!
Interesting note...Jimmy Choo got his start in business due to the Prince of Wales Trust.

She'd look much better in a lower heel that complements her height, and an assortment of custom made shoes that accommodate the bone structure of her feet while looking fashionable.
i'm 5'4" and have wide feet that swell...i like wedge heels or espadrilles...no pointy toes or stilettos for me 🤷♀️
It also just draws your eye more to the fact that her lower body is longer than her upper body proportions.
I'm 5'3" and have always preferred regular heels
Oh, I’ve always wondered why she hunches forward like Monty Burns from the Simpsons.
Yes, I thought that was ridiculous. As you said, made no sense. Agree her posture is terrible, clothes are terrible, hair is always messy, on and on! Lol, the Markle lurch!!!;;
The engagement photo shoes were stolen from the Reitmans photoshoot.
“Hideous feet” lol! I understand anyone who photographs her is contractually obligated to Photoshop her feet!

I wear an orthotic too. I wear orthotic shoes sandals or athletic shoes most of the time because of my back issues.
Thanks for the tip about Dr. Scholl's ball of foot pads. THAT is where I feel the pain that stopped me from wearing heels.
I have a narrow foot, and it is getting impossible to find narrow shoes no matter what the cost
😢
Your MM reviews - for me - highlight her staggering lack of self awareness reflecting for all to see in this person's 'fashion' choices.
Thank you. 🙏🌻
Yuck!!
She has plenty of money and can afford to have her shoes custom made.
I also think she's incredibly impatient. That Dior wedding dress ( at least I think it was Dior) looked awful it wasn't fitted at all.
You will absolutely get a blister if your shoe has room to rub from moving around ..
Your research and information is always so helpful. Thank you for all you do to help us ‘fashion challenged’ ladies. 😊

@@heidifruchtl354 heels also put massive stress on your knees. Terrible.
Who knows how many other pairs of wrongly sized shoes she absconded with🤣🤣
Thanks, quite possible.
Yes! I thought the same, my sister has a bunion and sometimes goes up a size to get a fit around it. I assumed Megain wore bigger shoes for her bunions or because the shoes were freebies.
She had her bunions fixed curserty of the British tax payer, she's just a slob who slithered I to our royal family

I've only been watching your channel a short while. I'm enjoying it so much. Thank you!🧡🌹
My favourite shoe image of Meghan is the infamous Windsor walkabout where they greeted mourners for the Queen. She looked as if she’d left her broom at the back door and was hobbling round on those toothpicks…🇦🇺
She had stains on her dress as well
Beebs, Even at my advanced age, I have learned SO MUCH about fashion and style from you. Thank you. Off topic, have you ever heard about Princess Fawzia of Egypt and Empress of Iran? Besides being absolutely stunning, she was the epitome of style, elegance, and grace. You might like her.
She looked like a movie star of the era.
If this was so her shoes would be too small rather than too big.
You hit the nail on the head with this! Anyone who wears heels knows proper fit is crucial! Say NO to big shoes!
The shoes you featured were lovely. The blue ones you’re about to order are very pretty!
I’m totally jealous! Damn that exchange rate and double damn the insane international freight prices at the moment 😖
Exactly! Totally don’t understand how she does that 😮
I need her to teach me how she keeps them on! I've had to buy shoes that are a half-size too big when there's no 11.5 (which happens a lot!), and I've walked right out of them on occasion, even with that stick-on padding you can buy. HOW DOES SHE DO IT? lol
So true I can imagine they would be like flip flops and you would need to grip with your toes to keep them on.
People are taking about her bunions, maybe they function as a stopper and are actually what keeps her shoes on her feet.

Bless her heart, just like most of her clothes, her shoes are just ill fitting.
I noooo 😂
And if you wear shoes without hose your feet sweat, sweat encourages bacteria which in turn makes both your feet and shoes smell.
I agree with you about pointy-toe heels. They make our feet look so much bigger.
@alewis you need to try the inserts for high heels that keep one from sliding. If I tried a half size larger high heeled shoe, I'd be skating.
I never thought of her shoe fit affecting her posture. Totally makes sense. Great video!
I love the women who rarely wear heels and then when they do, they lean forward like Meghan does. They look so silly! A couple of lessons at charm school would fix that.
It is hard to remember to stand up straight in heels
I always thought it looked like she was pushing her pelvic forward. So it is the shoes and not here thinking she is being sexy?
Great suggestion!
🤣💛
Since my left foot - just the left one! always swells in summer over the course of the day I can arrest to this. emilyallen you are laying down FACTS! I wear heels to the office and if I slip the left one off it is a nightmare to get it back in. Don't do it!! 😂 (I keep baby powder in my desk - that helps a little.)
My mum also told me this tip. I am in a very hot country and even in flats my feet swell so yea I suffer through the day when wearing closed toe shoes.
@@BeebsKelley 😆💓
I was super pleased to see Catherine wearing flats the other day. Either her or an assistant pays attention to the details of the surfaces of what she’s going to be walking on that day, and the weather. Smart girls. (Or boy 🤷♀️)
Funny, I recall hearing Megs demanded Aquazzura shoes at a shoot and then stealing them. So maybe they were the wrong size and she tried to own it buy continuing to do it so she couldn’t be called out. Seems far fetched but a lot of what she says and does is!
Someone claimed those allegedly stolen shoes were what she wore for the engagement(trench coat) photos; they look stained snd too large.
I haven't worn heels in 30 years. I went to a boot shop that hand makes cowboy boots and had a pair made, this is the first pair that I can walk all day in them. Worth every penny I paid.
I do love my high heels, but next to those are my many pairs of Tony Lama cowboy boots. Like wearing an old friend ❤
I’m still wearing my Aerosoles boots from 20 yrs ago; have tried but never found a better pair.
Thats why she has to hang on to him like grim death!. Can't walk in them 😂😂
Thanks Beebs, very interesting and insightful.
@@kp4911 I saw it. Looks like the same shoes to me.
Another really useful and helpful broadcast Beebs. You never fail. Fabulous tips and advice. Thank you 🎉😊❤
💛💛💛
I’m always wanting to tell her to STAND UP!!
I hate the clomp-stomp. I have terrible balance so I cling to my wedges but I admire the women rocking the stilettos bc they're so badA. You're so sweet and you give great tips! I'm 45 and feel like I'm "out of the loop" so I will take all the advice I can. Heels for me? No. BUT I really make a casual pair of flipflops my own 😂
HI, I'm almost 60 and I love the tips she shares too. I'm trying to get out of a long funk, so being out of the loop would be a giant step up for me. I'm trying to find my clothes and accessory self again. How are you making your own flip-flops? It sounds very advanced😊. My best wishes for your future. Yours, Ann
@@annlidslot8212 Hi! I feel ya on being in a funk. I'm stuck in the "jeans and t-shirt" rut. And since I've sworn off men for awhile I've been like a feral animal lmao 😆 I don't make flip flops I just meant I really vibe with them and embody the flipflop lifestyle lol
@@colormetakenaback Hello again, Yeah, Jeans and t-shirt sounds nice. I'm currently in jazz pants and t-shirt land. Jeans is for when I leave my house, that's my fancy and I'm running out of t-shirts. I do have a very small explanation in that I'm almost bed bound since 28 years, but that's just explanation and no excuse, really.
I live far north in Europe (63º north) so flip-flops happen very rarely. I adore shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops. I do believe that the stork took a wrong turn or something when I was delivered. My whole self is made for southern climes. He must have been up all night drinking or something. Or maybe his first day on the job and no training, when I'm feeling generous. Yours, Ann
@@annlidslot8212 Omg I used to say I was switched at birth and some girl in the mountains is wishing she lived down south near the beach! I so relate! I live in Alabama USA and we only have two seasons. Mostly it's just hot and hot with a few weeks of hoodie weather 😂 And don't feel bad or apologize about what you're going through because your feelings are relevant and your health is the utmost concern. Life gets to being a drag, I tell ya, but as long as we keep our sense of humor we can manage an upper hand on it. That's what I tell myself anyway lol
@@colormetakenabackThe beach... That would be nice. This time of year people pretend it's varm in the water and do go to some beach. If we're extremely lucky that means about 70 ℉ . I usually don't partake unless it's 80 ℉ or warmer, though. I live in Sweden, by the way.
I guess you had the sub-par stork too, then? I was hoping he got fired after the mix-up with me, but evidently not I guess. I agree about life. It's definitely not for the faint of heart. You really need a good helping of a dark sense of humor, to make it to the other end.
About my situation. I was in a car accident in 1995 and got a good whack in my neck (aka whip-lash injury.), and have to deal with chronic pain and such since then. Then in 2014 or so I got very ill, and it took some years to figure out that I have a colony of bacteria in my lungs that doesn't belong there, and they kick up a great big party and call all their friends in, if I meet any bugs that I don't already know (aka immunodeficiency). Those parties usually gets me pneumonia, and a stint in hospital to boot. A bit of a drag? Mmm...yeah that sounds about right.
That's the explanation. I don't really do excuses very well, and I get bored if I start feeling sorry for myself. I usually can't make it past 3 minutes or so, before I get fed up. Pleased to "meet" a like minded person, out here on the net. With the risk of sounding a bit corny and with one of the best wishes you can have for someone else that I know of. (New and better ones are gratefully accepted. I'm still not born English-speaking so there are a lot I don't know) Live long and prosper. Ann
That clip of her running automatically made me think of “ why are you running “ 💀
Thank you 💛
Beeb? The reason MM's clothes and shoes didn't fit properly is that she bought the samples. Her clothing items were not tailored to fit her. She bought designer items at retail prices, in other words, the sample. MM thought that just wearing designer items was enough; that fit didn't matter.
Thank you so very much for providing all your viewers the best information pertaining to what are the best undergarments to wear with our clothes. Along with giving us information as to what clothing design as well as designers we need to focus on as to wear whether it’s jeans to dresser pants. Then, providing us all the detail information pertaining to a t-shirt to blouses; along with coats/jackets to blazers; from a simple t-shirt casual dress, to a work suit, to a gown, and then to a wedding dresses.
Now you provided your viewers a great video on what is best way to know what shoe size to wear pertaining to high-heeled dress shoes.
The beige shoes were stolen by her frim a Reitmans' fashion shoot a few years back.
It also seems like mm takes really long strides. She also wobbles in her too big shoes 😂😂😂
I have plantar fascitis too. I don't wear many heels at all because of it.
Try Clark’s……they have many stylish shoes that are actually comfortable!
I love Clark flip flops.
Kuru shoes helped my pf slowly heal, along with proper stretching for my foot (gently pushing the top of my foot towards my heel gave me relief and eventual healing; the typical stretch to lengthen the plantar tendon only made my pf worse).
I am envious of people who wear heels effortlessly.
Hey beebs!! (Absolutely LOVE saying beebs! Haha) thanks for this shoe video, I don’t wear ones that are too big, but your suggestions, especially for achy/injured feet, was VERY helpful to me. This video... long over due. Thank you for clearing up this shoe mystery.
That's why she seems to be head down, battling to walk! Thank you.
This was informative. To my dismay, I learned wearing shoes in which the toes and arches need to curl to hold them on can result in a painful foot condition called plantar fasciitis. This includes ballet flats.
Ballet flats are too flat for me. I need some decent arch support.
@@martina21953 Same here. I can't even go around the house in sock feet. High arches can be a real curse.
I have flat feet and cannot walk around the house without some support. What little arch I have collapses without the support which is painful!
Maybe that is one reason she holds Harry’s hand so he can keep her from falling
No no mm does not walk normal on heels. Check well
Just wanted to say I’m really pleased to have recently found your channel. You present so well, clearly intelligent and thoughtful, and shine an interesting lens on that awful Meghan Markle, and I love the clothing and style talk. I look forward to your videos. Sending you kindness from New Zealand. 🥰 🇳🇿
💛💛thank you!
Everyone should go in and your shoes fitted at least one time. You really need to know the difference between a B width and a wide width. A lot of people assume that they need a bigger size, when really they need a wider width. That really helps to get rid of the clown shoe feel as well. Great video! Thanks.
Hi Beebs
Your voice is so kind and soothing, even when disparaging someone’s style. I wonder if MM wears large shoes because of her history with bunions. Apparently she has prominent bunions and hates her feet.
Keep up the good work.
Thats why M walks like an Emu, because her shoes are too big!😂
I heard once that Harry's wife on a few occasions has stolen the shoes after a photo shoot so I always thought that was why her shoes are to big. She probably thought well if this is the size they brought me this must be my size or this is how your supposed to wear shoes because she has never been intelligent or savey in the fashion department.
I believe that Meghan has a “ Morton’s toe” which is the second toe is longer than the big toe- I have this and have a lot of trouble with shoes.
Excellent vlog. My respect. You criticize, but in an uplifting way. Thank you for being such a lady. Respect and blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦
I heard to order a half size up in heels for all day wear and while for foot swelling it helps not everyone has that happen. I will definitely be buying that cotton you suggested for my pointed toe Lk Bennett heels. Thank you for always being kind with your advice while still driving the point home!
Thank you for dispelling the myth! I had read that advice somewhere and always wondered how it would actually work! NOW we know! Thanks Beebes!
@@barbaragibson612 I understand, although I am tall and have already worn out my knees! You may want to shorten your stride as you age, just sayin.' 💙
OK, you've coined a new nickname for Megaliar: Lurch. Perfect!
Here's a possibility. I think her shoes are always big because they are freebies. She makes the PR deal, and they say, "What size?" and she gives them a size that might end up being too big but that would be better than too small which wouldn't fit, and she wants those freebies...sooner than later.
Thanks for debunking the buy a size up in shoes myth!
Newer models sometimes end up wearing shoes that are the wrong size, for photo shoots and sometimes runways, but not celebs, super models etc
Recent subscriber, love your channel! Appreciate the shoe brand recommendation!

+1 👏
Thanks for posting.
I never heard that. Glad I didn’t because shoes that don’t fit are unacctracive
Great points-spot on! Posture so important & sets one's bones! Many women take too big steps & walk fast like men. If they could see themselves, they would stop walking like that.
Yes! Looking at the video of H & M walking together, she always tries to match her stride to his, which looks so unnatural and inelegant!
Beebs, I love your analysis. ❤
Maybe that’s the sample size shoe the company sends her for FREE ! Grifters don’t pay for anything.
Also here in UK John Lewis sells gel cushions and suede cushions that are amazing!!!!!
