I did a stint in emergency intake at a psychiatric hospital. One of the criteria for determining whether a person needed urgent attention was "Is this person dressed appropriately for the weather". I often think of that when I see pictures of Markle. Her choices are often weird.
Like wearing a horse blanket/coat…in warm weather California, and a short shorts outfit in cooler Germany?? Then theres that beige long wool coat photo when she was showing off her “Stress Patch”…wasnt that like in August? Thats one of Californias hottest months…The woman is deranged…or sick? The problem with MM are not the clothes but her weird body. She is real short, too skinny, short torso, skinny tooth pick bow legged legs, the styles she chooses are just not good for her body type. She can wear a $$$ million dollar dress which looks horrible on her!!!!

She micro manages everything so she can’t allow an aid to do it for her.
That's the reason I think she should go vintage, and get a talented seamstress tailor to design new pieces from the vintage clothing fitted for her body. It would go along with their environmental thing and save her a large sum of money, while making her look a lot better
She looks SO much better in colors. The beige, brown, black, & white are terrible on her but she KEEPS wearing them! She may look better in colors but it doesn't change her personality!
I think she feels they’re rich people colours- the rest of us (or maybe it’s just me) stay clear of such colours in our daily lives because we have kids who have snotty dirty noses to care for, lunchboxes to fill and empty, jobs to do….. all the sort of things that make clothes of that sort get dirty really quickly. Those that have staff to do those tasks for them can wear such rich people colours…… as she sees it.
@@ursularyan7652 I do not think your choice of colour has anything to do with the size of your purse. Colour has a huge influence on your mental well being and self confidence. Wrong colours can pull you down while the right colour can be very uplifting. It also has an influence on how you are perceived by others. The wrong shade of a specific colour sgainst your skin can make your skin look shallow and may make you look tired with blue circles underneath your eyes
I'm sort of a Cajun. My ancestors were driven there by the British around 1755. And I agree. If I remember correctly, Smeghan complained that the BRF dress code did not allow her to wear bright colors. So, what's her excuse now, I wonder.

For a woman with two small children there always appears to be such a lack of ease being around children or even understanding of what children are like.
She think she is an international head of state along with Harry and they are just so important and just so busy and it’s just the hands her kids were dealt and they’ll understand one day and she trull believes that her spending a couple hours a day one day a week with her kids is an admirable thing. She didn’t overdo the face tint till she started trying to pull the race card, she wanted to look darker than she is. I think she likes super tight clothes because she is trying to be sexy. But she isn’t sexy when her strapless is falling down and it shows. You have to wonder why she thinks making a falling down strapless is better than a smooth cup wide strap bra that smooths out and blends into the skin and doesn’t show. I have to wonder if not having a mother teaching her how to dress and teaching her how to press her clothes is part of her problem. I think she leaves tags on so she can return them and pocket the money. She supposedly spent more money on clothes than any of the other Royal woman.

I think the thing that is most bothersome is that she doesn't evolve in her style, learn from her mistakes, or carve out her own 'look' vs the photos where she seems to be imitating others (and I don't just mean Catherine or Diana). She has access to the best stylists...why in heaven's name, doesn't she use them? That older photo of the yellow dress was a good example...it works, more of that please.
Wallis Simpson was photographed in an almost identical yellow shift dress. Markle wore this dress aound the time the media were wisening up to her toxicity. One has to think the choice of attire was intentional.
I loved your collaboration with Real Housewives Recaps earlier today. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't like the red outfit. It was horrendous from the back view and her overbronzed face looked ridiculous.
It gets bloody cold here, and wet. It's all look at me and look at my gorgeous figure with her. She wants to stand out but instead, just looks bloody ridiculous.
HW couldn't have worn the Catherine red trouser suit, though, with her short body. Only tall women with long torsos can get away with that kind of cut. It's really very difficult to get an elegant look when most of your height is in your legs (as I know to my own great irritation!). I think her main problem is that she looks in the mirror and sees Catherine.

The event where she wore the blue dress in the rain was The Endeavour Fund Awards in London, 5th of March 2020. It was a very rainy few days (almost a week of rain) and the temperature that night at 6pm was 5 degrees Celsius which is 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

Meghan will mimic people she wants to be. But she doesn’t have a sense of where their style comes from and can’t understand that what looks good on one person won’t look good on her. She also gets the sizing all wrong.
Someone elsewhere commented that M probably sees a photo of a garment on the model, decides it looks good in the photo, and concludes it will look like that on her own body.
Part of her problem is the way she walks, she strides, instead of walking, and for an ex dancer she sure likes to stand pigeon toed, & she stands with her legs apart .Also, when she crosses her legs she lifts her crossing leg way too high. So her odd way of walking & standing doesn’t help what she is wearing. Is she trying to walk sexily? If so, it’s too much.
I believe she is trying to keep her legs from touching to draw the eye away from their bowed shape. Disguising her bow legged limbs. Hence the wide stance and steps.
I do believe she has stylists giving her advice regarding her wardrobe but she is way too stubborn and arrogant to listen and believes she knows better than everyone else.
The red outfit is gorgeous, absolutely stunning! Do you need spectacles? In fact, the red outfit is one of a limited number of dresses that looks good on her and is appealing to others. 👍
Catherine took YEARS to cultivate her style and gain the respect she’s got today. Meghan expected to be at the same level on day one-that’s not how it works. Catherine has been at this almost 20 years-Markle waltzes in and expects the same respect with none of the work. It’s odd to me she didn’t wear a coat with the blue dress-this is a woman that wears coats in the middle of summer-but not in early March in London? The red suit was another wrinkled, baggy travesty. What made it worse was the way too dark bronzer & self tanner. The crotch was way too low, the weird neck thing was distracting and lack of tailoring, once again. Idk why the aversion to an iron and a tailor but it’s exhausting. OMG now that you pointed out the bra straps under the strapless monstrosity I cannot unsee it!! You’re so right!! It didn’t fit her well anyway-the belt is weird and it made her look strange. I know she was pregnant, but only like, 5 mins. Not 5 months. The crop/capri is def an improvement but not with stilettos. A nice pair of flats would have been way more appropriate
@@terryKessler42719 Wearing shoes in a larger size means they do not pinch as much since fluid builds up during the day in the feet when standing. It is no secret that she has a history of bunions. A roomier fit would therefore be not quite as painful.
Speaking of delivery, you deliver your content in a very engaging, informative manner. MM seems to turn outfits into either attempts to be sexy or attempts to copy someone else's look she considers glam (how else explain the tomato outfit of the NYC visit). It's been how many years now and she seems impervious to any fashion advice...her way or the highway!
i totally agree with you on wearing the same undergarments for fitting and wearing. The same applies for shoes. It can really throw off the hem of a dress or pants if you fit with flats and wear with heels.
Even I know to wear the undergarment to tuck your top in to when wearing slacks & I've never had stylist! Or wear control top panty hose & tuck the top into that then pull the slacks up.
Maybe if they are altered, they can't be sold. , and she can't be bothered to take the time to get them fitted properly. But she could wear them a size bigger and they would not get so wrinkled.

I can only conclude from your excellent analysis Beebs that Meghan has spent years bothering fashion houses for freebies so they send her stuff in whatever size they’ve got to make her go away.
Meg picks clothes because of the label and/or expensive price tag. She thinks that just because something is from Dior, Givenchy, or whatever other high-end brand no one can dare criticize it. Catherine will wear a mix or high-end and more affordable brands and will choose clothes based on fit, proportion, and how appropriate they are for an event. This is the difference between an old-money attitude and a new-money attitude. New money likes to show-off and are often what some people refer to as label whores. Old money doesn't feel the need to show-off for anyone.
Oh, Beebs, how I wish I 'd had your knowledge when I went to my son's wedding. It all ended up as a Queen Mum lookalike! It's funny, looking back, but I was the groom's mother! It's a good thing there were only eyes for the bride - who looked like a goddess.

I notice Meghan is very bad at "reading the room" no matter where she is. But this is especially true with children. I've seen some footage where she didn't know she was being videoed and she behaved, at some length, as if she really didn't even LIKE children...until Harry noticed a cute kid of about 2+ that she had been ignoring and brushing away with annoyance...until she realized she was observed. Boy, did the saccharine switch get flipped AT ONCE! Lovely dovey, smoochy woochy until you gagged! What a FAKE! I wonder if she even looks in in her own children even once a day. Archie seems like a kid who is a self-starter, but Lilly seems to be somewhat dampened, as if her mother is remote. I am comparing Archie at earlier steps that are analogous to where Lilly has been and is now...and she seems to be a little girl who is cautious and needs more smiles and encouragement than she is getting. Just being well fed and clean and not directly mistreated is not enough to encourage true wellbeing.

Honestly, I don't think she even has her clothes fitted. There's no way a stylist would let her go out in that disaster of a red pantsuit. I think she just orders the clothes and wears them. There is no other possible explanation.

I think MM looks great in that bright blue color, I don’t mind that cut on her at all - but she consistently chooses clothing that exaggerates her problem areas and/or looks messy, wrinkly or unseemly (shorts and sandals while in a parade with military uniforms).

Hi Beebs, I agree with you about her clothing choices. Good choices on her part are few and far between - to put it nicely. I taught elementary school for 33 years only retiring in 2021 and can tell you that, if a teacher isn't really good at reading to children they will not behave. There is a sort of an art to it and comes first by caring.....next, by practice reading to children of various age groups, and by being able to keep their attention in a variety of ways.😊. I seriously doubt Meghan can deliver in any of these ways.

I think she picks outfits she likes how they look on the models. Most people like many outfits, but will automatically realize that style doesn't work for their boby types. It's confusing, because the people who dressed her on suits did a great job - surprising she didn't learn.

I swear this woman just confirms all the pearl-clutching about “commoners” marrying royalty. Most of us consider that hogwash as we’ve seen others carry it off very well (Grace Kelly for one). I also remember that some people saying that both Diana and Catherine were technically “commoners.” But all of these ladies have been the picture of grace, with very few mistakes. But this woman just plays on the worst tropes about the common folk and we all know she had access to help and advice but refused it. I’m sure all the royal parents out there are using her as the example of who NOT to marry if you wish to stay royal! And I can just imagine the whispering among both the men and women at these events that know better and had rarely seen worse.

Hi Beebs, I have to vote; Meghan's worst fashion fail was the " One who flew over the cuckoo's nest" Nurse Ratched look. It was like Nurse Ratched collided with the pope and met a drunk goose sailor on the way home to polish it off. White outfit with nurse hat, all she was missing was the white straight jacket. MOST EPIC FASHION FAIL!!!
Someone did a comparison of the nurse look to something Diana wore, suggesting M was trying to copy. IIRC, the white hat Diana wore was pillbox size and well proportioned to Diana's head. The hat MM wore was huge, and I wonder if she meant to wear a smaller size but M didn't understand about hat sizes.

Would a blazer the color of her shoes have work? Or a wrap/shawl? The dress can still be seen and the fabric wrap could lay in her lap once they're inside. Under the umbrella, especially since it is raining, it feels like she must have goosebumps while hubby is comfortable.
I hated the olive oil twurd behind her head at the Invictus. It had a tail coming from it and it looked nasty. Her hair is thick so she could have had a pretty chignon with style.
I'm a preschool teacher and have been working with children for over 20-something years and you are absolutely right kids observe everything that we grown-ups wear. Kids like to see bright colors and things that they can relate to. I noticed when I wear things like Mickey Mouse, or flowers things like that the kids automatically better listeners and stuff. I just recently bought myself a dinosaur dress for that exact reason LOL but you are absolutely right as far as kids gravitate and notice those little things.
I think part of the problem with MM and the blue dress is that she's short-waisted. I'm the same, and this means your hips begin to curve outwards where a 'normal' body shape's waist is still 'inwards'. The dress or skirt therefore bunches upwards to accommodate the curve of the hips. If the item is already too fitted then the whole thing looks worse. It doesn't always happen with dresses - much depends on the tailoring and style, but skirts are a nightmare! Dressing for a short-waist isn't easy, but I really don't understand why MM has such a problem: she is a wealthy woman with very easy access to the best tailors.
Honestly, a personal tailor and the correct foundation garments would eradicate MOST of these issues. What a shame, with an attractive face, and scads of ready, she could do so much better. Also, a make up artist that she LISTENS to, and a hairdresser with less drama than Megs would also help. Just a few more $ could have elevated most of these looks (spent on the tailor, et. al.)
I just don’t understand the pants problem. How hard is it to get a decent-fitting pair of pants? With her money Meg could get them tailored to fit her perfectly.
She went up to a podium for some reason, I believe, in the blue dress. I remember a lot of comments about a close up of her eyeshadow during it. It was so heavy and it looked bizarre- something odd was going on. Anyone else remember that?

I did a stint in emergency intake at a psychiatric hospital. One of the criteria for determining whether a person needed urgent attention was "Is this person dressed appropriately for the weather". I often think of that when I see pictures of Markle. Her choices are often weird.

That's the reason I think she should go vintage, and get a talented seamstress tailor to design new pieces from the vintage clothing fitted for her body. It would go along with their environmental thing and save her a large sum of money, while making her look a lot better

I think she feels they’re rich people colours- the rest of us (or maybe it’s just me) stay clear of such colours in our daily lives because we have kids who have snotty dirty noses to care for, lunchboxes to fill and empty, jobs to do….. all the sort of things that make clothes of that sort get dirty really quickly. Wrong colours can pull you down while the right colour can be very uplifting. It also has an influence on how you are perceived by others. The wrong shade of a specific colour sgainst your skin can make your skin look shallow and may make you look tired with blue circles underneath your eyes

Wearing shoes in a larger size means they do not pinch as much since fluid builds up during the day in the feet when standing. It is no secret that she has a history of bunions. A roomier fit would therefore be not quite as painful.

i totally agree with you on wearing the same undergarments for fitting and wearing. The same applies for shoes. It can really throw off the hem of a dress or pants if you fit with flats and wear with heels.
Even I know to wear the undergarment to tuck your top in to when wearing slacks & I've never had stylist! Or wear control top panty hose & tuck the top into that then pull the slacks up.

I can only conclude from your excellent analysis Beebs that Meghan has spent years bothering fashion houses for freebies so they send her stuff in whatever size they’ve got to make her go away.
Meg picks clothes because of the label and/or expensive price tag. She thinks that just because something is from Dior, Givenchy, or whatever other high-end brand no one can dare criticize it. Catherine will wear a mix or high-end and more affordable brands and will choose clothes based on fit, proportion, and how appropriate they are for an event. This is the difference between an old-money attitude and a new-money attitude. New money likes to show-off and are often what some people refer to as label whores. Old money doesn't feel the need to show-off for anyone.
Oh, Beebs, how I wish I 'd had your knowledge when I went to my son's wedding. It all ended up as a Queen Mum lookalike! It's funny, looking back, but I was the groom's mother! It's a good thing there were only eyes for the bride - who looked like a goddess.

I am comparing Archie at earlier steps that are analogous to where Lilly has been and is now...and she seems to be a little girl who is cautious and needs more smiles and encouragement than she is getting. Just being well fed and clean and not directly mistreated is not enough to encourage true wellbeing.

I think MM looks great in that bright blue color, I don’t mind that cut on her at all - but she consistently chooses clothing that exaggerates her problem areas and/or looks messy, wrinkly or unseemly (shorts and sandals while in a parade with military uniforms).

Princesses don't court the press, they are polite and tolerate it as a somewhat necessary presence, if she must, but the attitude toward the press should be that they are RECORDING your duties, you are not acting out a life for the camera's benefit. We never Catherine, Princess of Wales staring down the lens of a camera. EVER. Yet thousands of gorgeous pics are captured of her all the time. The photogs just happen to catch her in such beautiful, naturally occurring moments as she goes about her business. SHE reads AUTHENTICALLY because😅😅SHE IS! You just can't make this🌄h*t up!!

Hi Beebs, I agree with you about her clothing choices. Good choices on her part are few and far between - to put it nicely. I taught elementary school for 33 years only retiring in 2021 and can tell you that, if a teacher isn't really good at reading to children they will not behave. There is a sort of an art to it and comes first by caring.....next, by practice reading to children of various age groups, and by being able to keep their attention in a variety of ways.😊. I seriously doubt Meghan can deliver in any of these ways.

Yeah, see Princess Kate always looks good because she dresses for her body type. She always looks good, Meg’s issue is that she thinks that if her outfit is expensive, that means it looks good. Like no, I’ve gotten $25 dresses off of SHIEN and always look great because I dress for my body type. There is no excuse for you to look not put together when you have millions
This picture is made unusual because of the lighting in the umbrella. Someone theorized that she had a light installed inside of the umbrella in order to make herself more visible.
She could have gotten an entire wardrobe from Banana Republic, nicely tailored, and would have looked so much better than what she chose for Invictus. The Invictus "gear" could have involved such FUN looks she wouldnt ordinarily "get" to wear...(who are we kidding, as a non-Royal, she has proven that she can/will wear whatever she wants, not what looks good on her...) she blew it AGAIN. Like wearing multiple outfits a day on her "fashion shoot" to Africa...ridiculous and vapid.

I think she picks outfits she likes how they look on the models. Most people like many outfits, but will automatically realize that style doesn't work for their boby types. It's confusing, because the people who dressed her on suits did a great job - surprising she didn't learn.
actually the pantsuit being so ill fitting at the Harlem school was probably a great thing (if not deliberate) The suit sure didn't look as if it cost, what , about $6,000? the kids would have thought that she'd picked it out of a bin at the Sally Ann. I swear this woman just confirms all the pearl-clutching about “commoners” marrying royalty. Most of us consider that hogwash as we’ve seen others carry it off very well (Grace Kelly for one). I also remember that some people saying that both Diana and Catherine were technically “commoners.” But all of these ladies have been the picture of grace, with very few mistakes. But this woman just plays on the worst tropes about the common folk and we all know she had access to help and advice but refused it. I’m sure all the royal parents out there are using her as the example of who NOT to marry if you wish to stay royal! And I can just imagine the whispering among both the men and women at these events that know better and had rarely seen worse.
When she keeps the orange tan off her face she can wear bright colors well.
I have to say I don't have a problem with evening wear not being warm enough for outside weather since its normally quite warm inside but the print, style etc. looks super weird.

Hi Beebs, I have to vote; Meghan's worst fashion fail was the " One who flew over the cuckoo's nest" Nurse Ratched look. It was like Nurse Ratched collided with the pope and met a drunk goose sailor on the way home to polish it off. White outfit with nurse hat, all she was missing was the white straight jacket. MOST EPIC FASHION FAIL!!!

Someone did a comparison of the nurse look to something Diana wore, suggesting M was trying to copy. IIRC, the white hat Diana wore was pillbox size and well proportioned to Diana's head. The hat MM wore was huge, and I wonder if she meant to wear a smaller size but M didn't understand about hat sizes.

It makes me so mad, that one of her complaints was that she had to always wear beige in the Royal Family, when she’s worn nothing but beige & black ever since !
Would a blazer the color of her shoes have work? Or a wrap/shawl? The dress can still be seen and the fabric wrap could lay in her lap once they're inside.

I hated the olive oil twurd behind her head at the Invictus. It had a tail coming from it and it looked nasty. Her hair is thick so she could have had a pretty chignon with style.
I'm a preschool teacher and have been working with children for over 20-something years and you are absolutely right kids observe everything that we grown-ups wear. Kids like to see bright colors and things that they can relate to. I noticed when I wear things like Mickey Mouse, or flowers things like that the kids automatically better listeners and stuff. I just recently bought myself a dinosaur dress for that exact reason LOL but you are absolutely right as far as kids gravitate and notice those little things.
I think part of the problem with MM and the blue dress is that she's short-waisted. I'm the same, and this means your hips begin to curve outwards where a 'normal' body shape's waist is still 'inwards'. The dress or skirt therefore bunches upwards to accommodate the curve of the hips. If the item is already too fitted then the whole thing looks worse. It doesn't always happen with dresses - much depends on the tailoring and style, but skirts are a nightmare! Dressing for a short-waist isn't easy, but I really don't understand why MM has such a problem: she is a wealthy woman with very easy access to the best tailors.
Maybe her clothes never fit because she borrows for free or gets paid to wear the designer and therefore can't have them taylored?
MM claimed she was doing her own hair & makeup during the games! Doubtful 🤣🤣
I have to admit that I like her in this blue color, how refreshing from olive and brown shades.
Honestly, a personal tailor and the correct foundation garments would eradicate MOST of these issues. What a shame, with an attractive face, and scads of ready, she could do so much better. Also, a make up artist that she LISTENS to, and a hairdresser with less drama than Megs would also help. Just a few more $ could have elevated most of these looks (spent on the tailor, et. al.)

She went up to a podium for some reason, I believe, in the blue dress. I remember a lot of comments about a close up of her eyeshadow during it. It was so heavy and it looked bizarre- something odd was going on. Anyone else remember that?
Never noticed that finger thing. I've done that with my kids and grands, not my husband.
MM would be justified in kicking the photographer who caught that "bottom" shot. Her butt isnt all that, and as you said, Beebs, the shirt tucked in didnt do her behind any favors.
