I don't think anyone forced her to wear beige and bland in London. In fact, for women in the RF, it's the opposite. They wear bright colours so they can be seen in the crowd when doing walkabouts. The late Queen started that trend in the 1960s and Catherine carries it on to this day.

Invictus is a family event because the participants are disabled veterans backed by a support system. Not every veteran has a supportive family, but those who do not gain family from one another. That does not diminish the personal victory of each contestant, but acknowledges the team effort that underlies achievement. That is why it is so striking that Harry and Meghan did not bring their children. The omission is glaring at that type of event, all the more because the couple have discarded all their family but for their own offspring and perhaps Meghan's mother. You could suppose they did not wish to be encumbered by their children and prefer the autonomy of singles, an attitude that is antithetical to the spirit of Invictus. The omission screams that Harry and Meghan do not consider themselves a family unit of 4 people, but a partnership of only two. Meghan would rather show off her latest purchase than her own alleged progeny.

I love how, by contrast, Princess Catherine consciously opts for professional wear during her engagements and giving the media nothing to write about as far as clothes are concerned. And has arranged for the palace to not give out any information about her clothes. And she doesn’t need that, she stands out regardless. She wants attention for her projects and that is so valid.

Also, although I am now a grandmother, I still remember that feeling of not wanting to miss out on any of my young children’s lives, and holding on to those precious days and years for as long as I could. And when my sons too became parents, they wanted the same for their children, because it meant so much to them, and so, even though it went against the trend of today, their wives stayed at home for the most part while the children were young. And their children too are all lovely well adjusted young people. So well done!

TRG did a video on her 43% and went through her Ragland ancestry right back to the early 1800s and couldn't find a single mention of Nigeria. All of her ancestry on Doria's side is from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee etc. If there is any Nigerian it's so far back, it will have been diluted much more than just under 50%. She did say her heritage was Maltese but that wasn't true either.
What I think her dna test said was that she’s up to 43% black and maybe addeded in brackets like Nigerian for example for clueless people potentially which is what she’s made up as if she’s really 43% Nigerian. Re the black dress unbuttoned so low, this is something we've seen again and again in terms of Meghan seeming to think she has to sell herself in some way. That goes back to her career and photos revealing this and that. We even had the peekaboo cutout in the awful gold dress in NY a few weeks ago. It speaks of insecurity and, well, lack of taste.

I agree with you, Beebs. In relation to the children who are now of the ages where traveling with them would be so much fun and such an exciting adventure for them. My husband and I traveled while our children were young due to our business. We did this as a family, our three children went everywhere with us and we had great times and several unplanned adventures together. I would never trade that time for anything. Childhood is such a precious time and flies by all too quickly. If we would be required to attend a meeting without them or if we were to be called to a portion of the business wherein the children would be bored, we would anticipate the need for a sitter for our children. We would bring someone along to watch our children, to play with the children, etc. while Mama and Daddy would be busy with grown up stuff. Never, ever did I leave my children behind, no matter their age.

Great video Beebs! Like others have said, if she truly was there for the event & to support her husband, jeans & a polo shirt would have been just fine. No one would have said anything negative about that! Two things to add. First, her letting everyone know she did her own hair & makeup was not the flex she thought it was. I couldn't believe in the one side shot how you could clearly see her neck was much lighter than her face & the over the top amount of bronzer on her cheeks. Wow! That's a lot!! Second, there was a story circulating about the sweater blazer, which I think was an unflattering silhouette with the huge shorts. Her fans claimed the immediate & overwhelming demand for the J Crew blazer broke their website. J Crew announced the site was down for maintenance. That made it clear she was not sponsored by them. Haha Her motives here are quite transparent. Is has nothing to do with the disabled vets or supporting her husband. She has made it about her. That's bad enough for any charity event but especially shameful to take attention, not to mention money, away from people who gave up so much in service of their countries.
Polo shirt and white or blue jeans would have been great! The unisex polo shirts would FIT HER, with her wide shoulders, small bust, and slim hips, so much better than most of us women! Do we know her exact words because she plays word games - did she say “I didn’t bring my makeup artist and stylist” or did she say “I had to do my own makeup and hair and styling because I don’t have my stylist and makeup artist with me”…either way she only is without them bc invictus refused to pay for them - she’d have them their and billing the cost of every second of their stay to invictus. In the 1970s, we all had centre parts. And wide leg pants that went all the way to the ground were THE LOOK. I still remember them fondly. Her view of the world is in the 70s (spinster, women with no voice, angry black woman, ambitious women etc . . .). She’s an odd one, to be sure.
There was also no such thing as low rise pants. Pants were at natural waist. Now pants or belts under your boobs, THAT was for nerds. Also, by walking in your too long pants the back of the pants would fray at the heel, where they got walked on. That was also cool. Invictus is a family event because the participants are disabled veterans backed by a support system. Not every veteran has a supportive family, but those who do not gain family from one another. That does not diminish the personal victory of each contestant, but acknowledges the team effort that underlies achievement. That is why it is so striking that Harry and Meghan did not bring their children. The omission is glaring at that type of event, all the more because the couple have discarded all their family but for their own offspring and perhaps Meghan's mother. You could suppose they did not wish to be encumbered by their children and prefer the autonomy of singles, an attitude that is antithetical to the spirit of Invictus. The omission screams that Harry and Meghan do not consider themselves a family unit of 4 people, but a partnership of only two. Meghan would rather show off her latest purchase than her own alleged progeny.

Also, although I am now a grandmother, I still remember that feeling of not wanting to miss out on any of my young children’s lives, and holding on to those precious days and years for as long as I could. And when my sons too became parents, they wanted the same for their children, because it meant so much to them, and so, even though it went against the trend of today, their wives stayed at home for the most part while the children were young. And their children too are all lovely well adjusted young people. So well done!

TRG did a video on her 43% and went through her Ragland ancestry right back to the early 1800s and couldn't find a single mention of Nigeria. All of her ancestry on Doria's side is from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee etc. If there is any Nigerian it's so far back, it will have been diluted much more than just under 50%. She did say her heritage was Maltese but that wasn't true either.
What I think her dna test said was that she’s up to 43% black and maybe addeded in brackets like Nigerian for example for clueless people potentially which is what she’s made up as if she’s really 43% Nigerian. She’s just 43% or less black which I’d exactly what we see plus skin whitening and hair straightening
Re the black dress unbuttoned so low, this is something we've seen again and again in terms of Meghan seeming to think she has to sell herself in some way. That goes back to her career and photos revealing this and that. We even had the peekaboo cutout in the awful gold dress in NY a few weeks ago. It speaks of insecurity and, well, lack of taste.

She's very strategic when it comes to her children. She'll only show them if there's something in it for her - to try to outdo the RF for example or to make money as on Netflix. She never understood that it's part of the unwritten contract with the British public that in exchange for great privileges and opportunities, the RF are supposed to 'share' photos of their children of their choice a few times a year. Now most Brits like me aren't even interested.

Can’t say I have a favorite look since the person wearing all of the expensive designer clothing is very nasty and evil IMO. A genuine smile and compassionate heart is the best fashion. This woman will never wear that, unlike Princess Catherine who radiates in everything she wears.

It would have been so sweet to see the kids there. I agree with you, Beebs. In relation to the children who are now of the ages where traveling with them would be so much fun and such an exciting adventure for them. My husband and I traveled while our children were young due to our business. We did this as a family, our three children went everywhere with us and we had great times and several unplanned adventures together. I would never trade that time for anything. Childhood is such a precious time and flies by all too quickly. If we would be required to attend a meeting without them or if we were to be called to a portion of the business wherein the children would be bored, we would anticipate the need for a sitter for our children. We would bring someone along to watch our children, to play with the children, etc. while Mama and Daddy would be busy with grown up stuff. Never, ever did I leave my children behind, no matter their age.

Beebs, you deserve alot of credit for being able and willing to point out the positives, as few as there may be, in the fashion choices that M makes. I would find that very hard to do. Sometimes I think she's dressing so poorly on purpose for attention, other times I think she believes she looks fantastic no matter what she wears. She's a sad character.
It can be both: she's thinks she's so great that she can break convention in ways that would normally look bad and still look good. She probably thinks people are just mad because she can make things look good that should look bad.

You just tell it like it is and also add positive suggestions to make outfits better. You clearly and concisely explain body types and what looks best on which type you are! The problem is she won't take advice and continues to be a fashion disaster, always dressed inappropriately and messy!

Great video Beebs! Like others have said, if she truly was there for the event & to support her husband, jeans & a polo shirt would have been just fine. No one would have said anything negative about that! Two things to add. First, her letting everyone know she did her own hair & makeup was not the flex she thought it was. I couldn't believe in the one side shot how you could clearly see her neck was much lighter than her face & the over the top amount of bronzer on her cheeks. Wow! That's a lot!!
Second, there was a story circulating about the sweater blazer, which I think was an unflattering silhouette with the huge shorts. Her fans claimed the immediate & overwhelming demand for the J Crew blazer broke their website. J Crew announced the site was down for maintenance. That made it clear she was not sponsored by them. Haha
Her motives here are quite transparent. Is has nothing to do with the disabled vets or supporting her husband. She has made it about her. That's bad enough for any charity event but especially shameful to take attention, not to mention money, away from people who gave up so much in service of their countries.
Polo shirt and white or blue jeans would have been great!
The unisex polo shirts would FIT HER, with her wide shoulders, small bust, and slim hips, so much better than most of us women!
Invictus Polo shirt would also have been less "look at me" and would have better represented Meghan's "supporting" not "starring" role."

I heard that they didn’t want to pay to fly out her makeup artist and her stylist. It instead provided her with both as part of their stay in the Presidential penthouse they demanded…so I’m not sure I’m buying her story. Do we know her exact words because she plays word games - did she say “I didn’t bring my makeup artist and stylist” or did she say “I had to do my own makeup and hair and styling because I don’t have my stylist and makeup artist with me”…either way she only is without them bc invictus refused to pay for them - she’d have them their and billing the cost of every second of their stay to invictus. It’s not the win she was trying to spin bc it wasn’t a chosen sacrifice.

When I saw Meghan's outfits i thought I cannot wait to hear Beebs talk about it.
In the 1970s, we all had centre parts. And wide leg pants that went all the way to the ground were THE LOOK. I still remember them fondly. Her view of the world is in the 70s (spinster, women with no voice, angry black woman, ambitious women etc . . .). She’s an odd one, to be sure.
There was also no such thing as low rise pants. Pants were at natural waist. Now pants or belts under your boobs, THAT was for nerds. Also, by walking in your too long pants the back of the pants would fray at the heel, where they got walked on. That was also cool. She’s stuck in the 70s, politically, in fashion, even culturally (as in traditions of other countries were not explored and embraced, they were tolerated and expected to be observed in the privacy of your own home).
Her pants are too long yes we wore them to the floor but not all bunched up.!

In the 4 days she will be there, she will have at least 12 outfits. Also, who marches with veterans, without ever being in the military and leaving your military husband on the side line watching you. MM is desperate to grin because she is in ore of herself. These whole event with her has been a marketing ploy to change her brand, image and to merch everything. She is trying to tell her fans that she is important not Harry. This will not be the last time she will arrive late for a charity event to sell the limelight. She simply was testing the waters to see how people will respond. All of this will soon be on her social media or website. Where else is she going to have images.
