In this video you can see the worlds largest Rc Triplane on the Modellbaumesse Lindinger! It´s a Fokker Dr. 1 with a 7 zylinder star motor with 800ccm. I dont know the wingspan but its big enough! ;) Pilot: World Champion Gernot Bruckmann! ENJOY!!

I just showed this to my 91 year old grandfather, he loved it! He grew up in the 20s and 30s reading about First World War fighter aces and would watch the occasional barnstormer come by a local air field near his house. He built model planes and kites as a hobby. He wanted to join the US Air Corps in the Second World War but was colorblind so he ended up in the infantry. He still ended up taking flying lessons after the war and built RC planes with his son later on. This video is amazing and he really enjoyed it! Bravo!

Beautiful aircraft and great flying skills. Dude hung it on the prop a couple of times, sideways down the runway and stalled in a giant u-turn. Got faith in that motor, that's for sure. Very nice to watch.
I clicked on this video because of the Fokker DR.1, and was amazed by it's size, and by the skill displayed by its pilot. I was equally amazed by the absolutely picturesque landscape that this flying field is located in! Absolutely gorgeous!
The skill required to fly a plane of that size, that low to the ground, with such maneuvers, is simply mind boggling!~

The DR-1 caught my eye as a child, I still love it. This one is the best so far.
This redefines RC flying. Supurb! A Nobel Prize for the designer/pilot.
What an amazing plane! I can't even begin to imagine the time and money that went into building it!
That side slipping at 3:00 is very telling. I've heard about it but it really looks extraordinary.
That slow speed makes flying soooooo easy, I wish my 800mm would fly so slow and so easily. A great demo.
the plane flys pretty fast but it seems so slow because its so big ;)

I'd always heard the Red Baron was capable of keeping his guns trained on opposing planes for a really, really long time. Gernot's flying talent gives an excellent visual as to how it could have looked. Wow! What a demonstration!

Ich hab in 25 Jahren Flugmodellbau schon viele schöne Modelle gesehen aber die DRI übertrifft sie alle! Mehr als erstklassig gebaut und ebenso vorgeflogen! Macht Spaß zuzusehen! 5*****

No doubt a very skilled pilot...! And a beautiful tri wing giant.. I have seen so many German videos of bi planes, triplanes, and countless others, but this beauty takes the cake...! I wish this pilot lots more luck in future flights, and hopefully many more giants for us to see...! I should not have said luck because this is not luck flying these beautiful behemoths, but pure pilot skill..! Which in this video you will undoubtedly see for your self...!
MAJESTIC! No wonder the Red Barron had so many kills - that thing could out maneuver a humming bird.
It's great to see a model aircraft that actually appears to be flying to scale and does not behave as though it has a thousand horsepower engine nailed to its nose. Well done and may it fly for many years.
That is the finest scale model I have ever seen... flys at scale speed too.... doesn't get much better than that... there are faster and larger, but that is about as good as giant scale gets....

Danke für das tolle Video, nicht jeder hat die Gelegenheit sich solche Veranstaltungen live an zu schauen. Eine tolle Maschine und eine noch exellenterer Pilot, der den Titel World Champion zu recht tragen darf. Die Flugmanöver sollte man aber nicht unbedingt dem Flugzeug zuschreiben, den solche Kunststücke gelingen dem Herrn Gernot Bruckmann auch mit anderen " Fliegern " !!!! siehe unter You tube, Gernot Bruckmann
Der Herr Gernot Bruckmann kann mit.so gut wie jedem Flieger seine Kunststücke machen, egal ob 1 flügel, 2, 3 oder 20, egal ob groß.oder klein! Der Mann hat es einfach drauf.
Wunderschön, erstaunlich wie viel Auftrieb diese 3 Flügel bringen, Tolles Model !

Beautiful scenery of the mountains brings heightens the romanticism of flying by the seat of your pants multi wing flying.
Very nice aircraft and a great display. I think the model flies a little better than the original DR1 would have, but it is lovely to watch.

ot1k Yeah the full scale is only a 24 ft. wing span on top wing. This looks to be more than 12 ft.
james price its 1/1.5 scale and the wingspan is 4,2m so about 14 ft

The DR1 have 4,80m Wingspan and a 800ccm Valach radial engine.
That building right on the edge of the runway, man oh man it makes me nervous.

Thats a very awesome red plane sir , brings back memories from my grandfather Charles chuck Pierce, in the garage it looked like a red Porsche or Ferrari as i was proud to see it 👨🍳 he had a hand for planes ,kinda a hobby that he had ! God bless us all ,amen

Nothing against the pilot at all but; the size of the wings and tail rudder effect the amount of turn you can inflict on the plane. It flys so slow that the wing surfaces just push the plane around. Very beautiful to watch.
