Toyota Sera: The Car McLaren Copied

The Toyota Sera is the fun compact car that time forgot. While it may be based on the platform of an economy car, the Sera is anything but. The innovative butterfly doors were copied by the venerable McLaren F1, the panoramic glass roof feels like you're sitting in a fighter jet, and the car talks to you! The Sera makes for a good drive, not by its performance but by its immersion.

​@@lutomson3496Phase 3 is the hardest set to get (late 1992-1995) BUT they have the best safety features. Most people will get a Phase 1 or 2 though

hello i love this interview i was so happy to learn the history of the design of the sera ..i own one but i redesign mine i now have the driver in the centre and its running the 4age ae111 i use the toyota celica gts brakes all round and a few other changes i do believe the should start making them again ....the first day i saw one i bought one ....thanks again love the interview ....
