I have to agreed on the Wrath 430 is the best price that money can buy ! It fits people budget when it comes to buying s crossbow ! People dont have money to spend on expensive crossbow that you got ! I stick to Wrath 430 from now on !
Nice video! i just picked up a new centerpoint wrath 430 with silent crank on ebay auction for under $400 and its should be here to tomorrow. cant wait to try it out.
I just got the wrath 430 x . This unit is amazing ! The extra bells and whistles make all the difference . Silent crank device , folding and 5 place adjustable butt stock . Also I can shoot the same arrows as my 20 year old original ten point Titan . Cheap aluminum 2219 half moon knocks with 100 grain tips brings the total arrow weight in at 430 grain . She’s fast as fuck and worth every penny at $650
Great comparison/review! I have the Wrath 430 & for the money, perhaps one of the best bangs for your buck. Been shooting it for months, & it's holding up.
I have 7 Excalibur's, but the state I recently moved to, doesn't allow xbows, with a draw weight over 200lbs. So I just ordered the Wrath 430X with crank from Amazon for $446 shipped. Im also going to get the $100 Centerpoint rebate once it arrives & I get the serial number. So the price for the 430x with crank will only be $346, you can't beat that price, the crank alone cost$129. . Im going to replace the scope with one of my Excalibur Overwatch 100 scope. I have the Overwatch & Tact-100 on all my Excalibur's.
@@BackyardBroadheads I just had elbow surgery so gonna be a while before I can shoot it. I got all the bolts loc tited in and my favorite excalibur scope mounted up.
@@BackyardBroadheads The tact zone is my favorite and it’s on the 430 It’s not out yet on the web site. I’m. It a fan of cranks though. I prefer to use a rope. Faster and less of a pain in the butt
Would you recommend the cp400 for whitetail deer hunting. They have them for 480$ without silent crank right now on cp website. Is it better then the wrath? Thanks
Good video, just bought my 1st crossbow. Centerpoint Patriot 425, I didn’t shoot it yet, I bought it 2 nights ago, put it together last night, but looking forward to it, but great comparison!! I wanted an upper end Raven, but the price is too much for my 1st crossbow
be careful using the power crank on the CP 425. Just snapped mine of by cranking the string back. Never even got it sighted in! However, CP customer service was excellent and they sent me everything I needed go make this crossbow a hole puncher once again. Just be sure your using the power crank correctly and don't get to cord tangled up.
what are all the differences between the CP Wrath 430 & 430X? Is it just the stock? The 430X appears to have an adjustable AR stock verses the Bullpup design. Is that the only difference because the 430 is over $100 dollars more than the 430X
You should get the Man Kung Chester instead of the Centerpoint, it's cheaper (375€ right now) but both are made by Man Kung. Man Kung also makes bows for other brands like Bear Archery for example.
Thank you for comparing different types of crossbows at the same time.i am in the market for a new crossbow. You gave me a lot to think about. I am interested in the Scorpyd, but not being able to shoot it first is a draw back along with servicing it. What are your thoughts?
You know you left out one of the most important features out of all three of the crossbows The Raven you can decock without having to shoot it the other two you cannot I also have two Ravin r10 crossbows and I also have and I have to say out of all the crossbows that I've ever shot The Ravin r10 and the mission sub-1 XR crossbow are the best I've ever shot and they're made in the United States of America and they can all three be decock without having to shoot an arrow
Ravin and Centerpoint are now one in the same company both owned by Velocity Outdoor the parent company. The Ravin R29(X) is over 2k. You can get a Centerpoint Wrath 430X for $500 or less depending on where and when you buy it. $2,300 - $2,650 vs $439 - $500. Guess which one is putting the screws to everyone that buys one? This high tech crossbow market has really gotten out of hand the last 5 or so years. $2,000.....$3,000.....$4,000.....are you out of your flipping minds? It wasn't that long ago you could buy a brand new 80cc or 125cc 2-stroke Supercross dirtbike for that kind of money or a decent older used vehicle. No matter what happens a crossbow of any kind with the most advanced technology should NOT cost more than 2K period. I don't even think they should cost over $1,500 to be more precise. While I have (12) crossbows to date most of them are in that $425 - $850 range. I have two that were cheaper and two that were more expensive. The two cheaper are a Centerpoint Sniper 370 and Sniper Elite 385. The two more expensive are a Mission Sub-1 and a Ravin R10. I still didn't break out of that 2K threshold cap limit. The days of the 2K+ crossbows are coming to a end in the near future I think. You can't keep spending and throwing away good money down the toilet like that. At the time of this writing you would be AMAZED at what you can find and get in that $425 - $850 price range out there. Much of it is still made in the USA and from the Top 5 crossbow companies as well. How fast is fast enough and when will it end? For me anything between 300 - 400 fps is more than plenty and I don't want or need anymore speed. If I need more power or speed than that I am going to be using a firearm instead. John
Yes 1,500 would be a great cap on price but they are priced based on what people will pay and they will pay over 2k for a R29X so that is where they are priced. I got my R29 for 1,800 new several years ago and it is the coolest thing that I have ever bought and I don’t regret it at all. I’m confident that with most of the ravins that if you use them properly and keep an eye on your strings and cables that it is a safe crossbow that I’m comfortable letting my family shoot. Even though centerpoint and ravin are owned by the same company center points are not made in the USA. I’m sticking with made in the USA. Also if you look at a made in the USA crossbow that is at 400 fps and way below $1,000 then it won’t have a fully built in crank and maybe you can’t uncrank it so that is 2 features that justify the price going up some. Then it probably isn’t narrow so there is another justified price increase. But anyway I do agree with you some, I’m not going to buy any top priced top speed crossbows until all of the bugs are worked out and the prices come way down. I’m glad to see that tenpoint and ravin are solving the problems with their stuff and eliminating some of the possibilities for user error. What are some of your favorite crossbows that you have?
@@BackyardBroadheads I actually have 13 but one of them is a duplicate Wicked Ridge M370. One with a crank and one without. Dollar for dollar it's really hard to beat the Wicked Ridge M370s, Barnett TS380, Centerpoint Wrath 430X, Sniper 370 and Sniper Elite 385. 1) Barnett TS380 1) Killer Instinct SWAT X1 1) Excalibur MAG 340 1) Tenpoint Titan M1 1) Wicked Ridge RDX 400 2) Wicked Ridge M370s 1 Mission Sub-1 1) Ravin R10 1) Centerpoint Wrath 430X 1) Centerpoint Sniper 370 1) Centerpoint Sniper Elite 385 1) William Tell Mini Striker 120# pistol
Do you use lighted nocks? Yeah I have heard that the M370 is nice and light. I think that with any of them no deer is going to duck the sting out to 30 yards and at 40 yards you should be able to aim close to the bottom of the lungs/heart on a broadside shot and probably end up with a double lung shot. I won't hunt without lighted nocks but it sucks how the extra weight slows the crossbow down. Have any of them had any manufacture defects or problems?@@JohnDoeEagle1
@@BackyardBroadheads I'm in the process of purchasing and starting to use some lighted nocks. I think they are cool and a good way to see where your shot is going. They also help you to recover your bolt/arrow in the woods. The only defect I had with all of these crossbows was caused in shipping by UPS. I bought a floor display Barnett TS380 without the original box deeply discounted from Sportsman's Warehouse. They didn't take it apart to ship it and they just threw the whole assembled thing into a generic large cardboard box. Needless to say it got slammed and thrown around while being handled rough.
