Such audi R8 with manual is just a great example why electric vehicles will never be as much fun as combustion engine cars for every day driving!

You can still attach a manual to an electric motor, several swap projects have retained the original transmission. You can also program the sound system to play any engine at any volume you want.

Yup, that Audi R8 won't just depreciate. I really love those gated shifters, why the heck car manufacturers don't make those in their cars? Audi R8 is dope, except for that compartment, I mean what if your out and suddenly you forgot that you ran out of supplies and needs to do groceries?

Manual is the way
This tech spec of R8 is pinnacle of german engineering....the only extras I always missded with R8 were OEM coilovers with 10 inch hydraulic lift, central exhaust tip and polycarbonate transparent roof with sunshade and ventilation opening.
Only problem is by the time I graduate and get enough cash to own and maintain, this and gated Ferraris with increase in price even more, more.
So alfa 4c and s2000.

How is this achieved? My take is :
1. Softest ride I've ever had. While the mag shocks also stiffen when needed giving strong performance, it could be stiffer during the soft mode by far... Just a little bit more feel wouldn't hurt.
2. *So quiet in cabin*. The outside is GLORIOUS AND LOUD, BUT it sounds so damn quiet and muffled inside.. (for my standards at least, and yes, even in sport modes)
3. The dual clutch tranny is not aggressive enough. Not in the sense in the shift patterns or programming, nor does it shift slow, it's very damn fast. But in the sense of the way it shifts. For example, in Porsches, when you redline shift he dual clutch would still sort of Gallaro Shift (aka jerks the car) the car. In the R8 it's just so damn luxurious and smooth. I don't like it...
4 I can't put my finger one it but it just feels so isolating. I feel like I'm not even driving the car. So easy to go fast and lots of power but dare I say kind of boring...
I'd definitely get the spyder in the current gen to at least hear the car. The generation of R8 in the video is I suppose less refined But also looks more fun already...
1. There is a soft and a hard mode, use either
2. Wind your window down
3. If u want neck breaking hard shifts buy an aventador

You can't go as fast with Windows down, nor would owners out it down on faster spirited drives or the track...Saying to open a window for sound is like saying close your eyes when you have sex because the partner is unattractive, instead of finding someone attractive to you... Plus it's a supercar, WHY am I suppose to be content with something subpar? It's like saying if you bought an expensive gun with no barrel, it's alright, just pretend it has one?
3. I suppose money is no matter to you? Do you even understand the price difference between an R8 v10 plus and an Aventador....
Damn TH-cam boys these days. Salty about everything. Furthermore it's completely fine to be disappointed even if you are a fan boy, it's reality. I recently met my hero, the 991 GT3, while it was everything imagined, it also had a few characteristics I didn't like. And I became disappointed. But that's just reality. These things are just toys at the end of the day. Just like a movie is just a piece of medium and a game is just a game.
kevin woodward I can't tell you, because I haven't driven the LFA. But that engine certainly seems glorious. The looks are, however, too questionable for my taste. That's all I can say. I simply won't nor can say anything about a car I've not driven.
It's your opinion, don't care about people who can't understand it. If you don't like it, it is fair. I mean a Dodge Charger with a 440 gives me the boner while a Ferrari GTO 250 doesn't.

The R8 is meh but with a gated shifter. It looks like a lot of fun. I’ve never been into the faster car ever. Just a nice cruiser with a manual and a nice exhaust.

From VinWiki I understand there aren't a whole lot of them. I think with a V10 and manual it's under 300 cars. I could be wrong about specifics but there certainly aren't a whole lot.

I disagree. I was in DT Vancouver a few weeks ago and there was a white R8 gen 2 parked on the street outside LV retail store and no one stopped to look at it. Later I saw a white R8 gen 1 v8 parked on the street about 2 blocks away and I noticed a few people stopped to check it out. Honestly the gen 1 R8 still has that wow that's a nice car factor. People appreciate the original R8 way more. But yes if you park them side by side the gen 1 looks very tame.

Here are the fact of the s85: #1 Wards international Engine of the year winner...#2 Best performance Engine of the year # 3Best engine over 4 litres. # 4 Best new engine. The BMW S85 Engine beat the runner-up engine from Ferrari by the last margin in the history of the award. I like the Lexus LFA sound but it arrange by Yamaha..The Carrera GT sounds epic. You can thank me later for the knowledge.

That is the stupidest comment I've seen the whole point of Audi having a gated shifter is to have more fun in it than paddle shifters, I mean don't get me wrong paddle shifting is interesting but manual transmissions are dying and personally speaking I've been driving manual transmissions all my life and I can tell you without hesitation that it is the most fun of the bunch... I mean you can make a 4cyl or in fact any car fun if you have it in manual transmission... not many people nowadays understand the beauty behind manual transmissions you feel more connected with the car that's for sure.
