1st gen R8 is still the best looking one, really aged nicely

  • @NoHandleAT

Stop reviewing cool old cars. We, the poor, may want them to depreciate so we can buy them...

Cannot believe that car is a 2007 model. It still looks so damn good. One of those concept cars that didn't change too much for production, and all the better for it

Christ. £35k!?? In Norway you have to give at minimum £70k for one.. Seems as cars are extremely cheap in the UK, well.. and expensive in Norway to be fair

I think Audi should have maintained the V8 instead of the V10. The option of V10 and switch to pure V10 were unnecessary . Having a V8 gives it more of a character, and it really fits its name "R8", having a V8.

Everyone stop talking about this car so the values don’t go up. I’m still in school so I’m a few years away from affording one

This is my ultimate dream car. Ever since it came out I've been dreaming about a manual Audi R8 V8. I definitely will have one, one of these days... Guaranteed.

One of the few cars that doesnt really have a Bad angle to look at

  • @MROKJIA

Audi just feels more German than it’s counterparts

Favorite automotive channel, Harry! Loving the “retro” revisit reviews.

The design still kicks ass 👌

  • @SmallBlogV8

In retrospect, this was a really nice era of design. Modern, but not chaotic like new cars now. The line/crease coming off the headlight defines the waistline, then runs continuously down and around the rear fascia. Super tidy, clever and clean. Just enough adornment and no more. People don't do that sort of thing anymore. The lines get broken up and pointed in random directions. This is so much more satisfying to look at than aimless aggression.

All time classic look here. Will never get old. Alongside the RS4, this is truly peak Audi as Harry says.

Picked one up last friday, 2008 manual v8 and loving it!

  • @STORM3SHADOW

The Gen 1 is a bonafide future classic. I opted for the V10 with the gated manual. As good as the V8 is, the extra power and glorious roar from the V10 just elevate it to another level.

This design will never get old.. Epic

  • @phils2180

Probably the most ground breaking car for Audi since the first Quattro coupe from 1980.👍

Gen 1 R8 in silver with carbon side blade, V8 and manual. What a car. Looks incredible and has aged better than most. Cheers Harry.

  • @comeberza

The r8 is that car that has fueled my car passion for years. It is stunning, still looks apart and the side blades are great. What a historic car. We will never see an affordable mid-engined car with a window to display the mighty power plant

  • @joshjmilli

This car has a timeless design. I remember when it came out, it looked so futuristic! Looked fantastic in red with the silver blade.
