1 - The NHS sucks. 2 - That is by design. 3 - because hacking away at public services and pretending its just soooo broken is textbook manufacturing consent or in other words, its the planning to justify the privitisation the neolibs and corpofash want so badly. 4 - It doesn't have to be this way. 5 - Trust only those who advocate for a full purge of outsourcing, foreign ownership, layers of do-nothing managers etc. and a total reclamation of the NHS from any and all privite interests, dealings or associations of any kind. 6 - Punish those who have knowingly sabotaged the NHS and acted like it was just some force of nature or 'had to be done.'
Thank you Curtis. Means a lot coming from you. It was an extremely bright day and we did 5 interviews in an afternoon so it is a miracle it even is visible to be honest!
I'm an unpaid carer for my son who had to spend a lot of time in hospital as a baby and infant, so I know how wonderful the NHS is. Our son is severely disabled and needs constant care which girlfriend and I are able to give him at present. However with continued cuts and privatisation of social care I fear for his future when we are no longer able to provide care. Jeremy is right, we need to expand social care not farm it out for profit. A national care service is essential.
What do you mean "unpaid carer"? It's your son, your responsibility, not mine or any other taxpayer, because surprise surprise NHS ain't financed by the government, it's all paid up by regular folk and their hard earned money. What the country needs is a well organized healthcare system, but at the same time it needs to teach people what responsibility is.
@@tomekkruk6147 So you think I will still be able to provide care for my son when I am 100? I will tell you "suprise suprise" I care for my son out of love and not for financial recompense, that is what unpaid carers are and why we do it. The most recent studies as of 2023 have found unpaid carers in England and Wales save the government £162bn per year. Stick that in your government budget. What do you suggest happens when I am unable to care for my son? Euthanasia? If you ever need care yourself let's hope you find someone willing to hold their nose enough to care for someone with so little empathy or compassion.
As a young woman I was close enough to death to end up in a coma. This was in Nassau County medical centre, Long Island. I had stopped breathing and was resuscitated. When I came to I asked why I was suddenly receiving medical care after having been ignored on a trolley for 4 hours. I was informed that it was because my insurance details had only just been confirmed and I would not have been revived had they not been. This was a few decades ago, but having watched Michael Moore’s Sicko film I have no doubt it still common practise today. I am now resident in a country with a national health service which we need to fight tooth and nail to save. The alternative will kill the poor and save the wealthy. Sigh.
First the NHS is not being starved of cash .Second , the amount of corruption and waste is a real concern . Third , corbyn's party , Labour , opened the flood gates to mass , uncontrolled immigration , and the NHS are spending are having to divert resources to these people plus pay for interpreters .Nowadays if we need to see a doctor , we have to inform them three weeks in advance we're going to be ill.
Right yes. The NHS would be fine if it wasn't for those pesky immigrants! You do realise that since Brexit was been done we are in control of our boarders yet migration to the UK has stayed the same as before (instead of the EU it comes from the rest of the world legally). Why do you think this is? The NHS is run on cheap imported labour the same as many other sectors (construction, farming). It does not makes sense for British person to go and get a nursing degree and get £30k+ debt to earn £24k a year does it? All this is being done under the Tories who have businesses and companies that benefit form cheaper imported labour. They don't want wages to rise. You are being conned and blaming the wrong people.
"...the amount of corruption and waste is a real concern ." That is certainly true. Hopefully, the ongoing COVID enquiry will deal with single biggest source of corruption, namely the dodgy PPE contracts given by members of the tory party to their donor mates. It'll be a real pleasure to watch Johnson, Sunak, Hancock and Cummings being led from court to jail. "Third , corbyn's party , Labour , opened the flood gates to mass , uncontrolled immigration , " How did he manage to do that, when, alas, he was never elected Prime Minister? And why is it that the tories, who have had thirteen years to, as you would put it, shut the flood gates, not done so?. "Nowadays if we need to see a doctor , we have to inform them three weeks in advance we're going to be ill." I would think that if you were to present yourself to a doctor, you would have no problem being seen straight away, since you are obviously very seriously ill.
Funding for the NHS increased in line with inflation until 2010, even under Thatcher! I see you are subscribed to GBNews so I expect you are confusing fact with opinion as they intend.
Given that no public service keeps up with inflation I think you're obviously an NHS cult member. I would equate starvation with no funding at all but there you go... I like the fact that you needed to do the GB News thing at the end, typical of you Communist types. Great work brother!@@Hackney_Boy-DoesntReadReplies

What a lovely and sad story. Two good men.
Why was this reuploaded?
what was wrong with the first version 3 hrs ago?
The content is the same. There was a problem with some of the colour and we are sticklers for that type of thing. Apologies @rjung_ch

The NHS isn't getting starved of cash. Stop telling lies! It's not helpful!
