    I bought a couple of the EcoFlow Delta 2's for $649 for camping and use them around the yard instead of having to use a 200ft extension cord for some of the tools. They work great. But man, had I seen this video 2 years ago, I would have bought these instead. You get more capacity for $499. On the plus, the EcoFlow Delta 2's power up my 15 amp miter saw without a hiccup, and do charge very fast. Thank you very much for your videos, really useful information.

    I have this power station and something important was left out. Even with 400 watts of solar, then unit charges very fast. With 400 watts, I have charged this unit in less than an hour at 50% charge. I like this channel but this was a skimpy review. You can find more indepth reviews elsewhere.This was not designed to be a home backup so I don't why this guy wants to compare everything with that. It comes in handy to power up a laptop or any kitchen devices. It's not going to run these things all day minus a laptop or phone and some lights; even a 12 volt fridge. I got this thing for $499 out the door on their website last year which was unbeatable. It has worked perfectly without issue. I did not place any over the top expectations on the unit, It does what I expected it to do and did not expect it perform beyond it's capabilities.

      I agree that this has a spot in many people's arsenal, however, it's direct competition is a Bluetti AC180 which has been out over a year and performs extremely well.
      Ben's philosophy of having multiple options to charge/power is in line with mine, so you always want to have equipment that enables you to pick and choose your usage.
      I do wonder if the inverter was lowering the output voltage for the heater and that was why the wattage was lower than Ben normally sees?
      Pricing is about $80 more than the Bluetti when both are on sale. Good option though.

    Good video Ben, 7:55; I use 3x 220w panels in series and completely cover 1 or, connect them to the solar generator and remove the cover from the panel and the system starts charging.
    Works every time on my EF Delta 2 that only accepts 60v.

    the voltage problem can be solved by buying their prioritized solar panels.Voltage on AllPowers 600 watt solar panel is 40.1-45 V They seem to make thes solar generators so you have to buy their panels. Ecoflow does this also on alot of their low to mid rage power Solar Generators.

  • @grindychum
    @grindychum 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    You should do a capacity test - to see its wopping 79% efficiency. The app wants personal info to be able to use it with WIFi.
    The solar is kind lame, you would need 50V @13a to achieve the 650w- I can't find any panels that will get you there. So in real life you would get around 500w which isnt much solar for something that has TWO expansion batteries. The expansion battery's apparently don't even exist for this model. Allpowers only shows the B3000- which is for the R3500.

    On the subject of switchover time. i have a switching PDU that will trip off when my ecoflow switches over, then systematically switching all the breakers back on.
    I had to put a regular UPS between it and my ecoflow.
    I need to set up the BMC/OOBM to see if i can change that setting, or maybe instead of switching everything on one at a time, switch everything back on at the same time as it can take 20 seconds before all outlets are hot.

    Keep in mind this is a budget-friendly solar generator you can't evaluate it like it's a bluetti that does everything including cooking your toast. You have to see for a $600 generator if this fits your needs which it does mine. When shopping for one you have to know solar input the amount of AC charging you can do and many factors to see if it will work for you. If you want one that does everything like you're saying you're going to have to spend double the price. For $600 I couldn't be more pleased with mine for charging something up quickly and grabbing it and going and using it for my daily needs. Also you never mentioned you cannot charge it with a car charger least I don't think you can and that's something I would like to know, through your evaluation can you use a car charger on this and how.?

    I received the "Allpowers R1500" station with an initial charge of 66%. After reaching 100% charge, the fan stopped at the end of the charge cycle. However, the next day, despite being fully charged at 100%, the fan continues to run constantly.
    Whether the AC or DC outputs are on or off, it doesn't make a difference; the fan keeps running even with the battery fully charged.
    Is this normal in your experience?
    Additionally, the app indicates there is an update available but requires a code. I've tried reaching out to Allpowers but haven't received a response.
    Thanks for your feedback.
    Best regards,

    When you're connecting 4 solar panels in a combination of parallel and series then it shouldn't be an issue because the volts amps stays the same... Right?

    • @minutemanprep
      @minutemanprep  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It does matter. Connecting in series means the voltage goes up as you connect panels together and the amperage stays the same. Then in parallel connections the voltage stays the same but the amps add up.

    • @drjbreland
      @drjbreland 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@minutemanprep My apologies, I think there was a misunderstanding regarding my question.
      I wasn’t asking if it matters or don’t matter. I certainly know it matters.
      Let me clarify: If you connect solar panels in both parallel and series combinations, the total voltage and current output will increase compared to a single panel, but the voltage and current values remain the same for each individual configuration.
      For example, connecting 5 panels rated at 60W and 12V/5A each, for a total of 300W, the voltage stays at 12V but the amperage increases to 25A.
      On the other hand, when the panels are wired in series, the voltage adds up but the amperage stays the same. So, connecting the same 5 panels in series results in 60V at 5A.
      However, combining only 4 of the 60W/12V/5A panels with a series-parallel configuration would yield an input of 24V/10A for a total output of 240W.
      6 panels 36V/10A at 360W
      Of course this is an example you can use higher wattage panels.
      Please let me know if you understood my question correctly and this helps explain how voltage and current change when solar panels are wired in series, parallel combination of the two.
      So in that case voltage and ampere wouldn't really be an issue in staying under… Right?

    You do realize that accepting products for FREE that cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars is being paid? You get paid in products not money. Your opinion is biased.
    If you buy it yourself, that’s different. A channel called “ ave” buys his own products to review. He is unbiased. I’m sure you try to be unbiased but if you leave negative reviews to most products you won’t be getting any more Free products from those companies.
