I will start with saying that I love my Bluetti. However, our Bluetti AC200 Max loses an immediate 55w per hour, just having the A/C side on, due to the converter. I just took it to Alaska. I would have lost 1320w in 24 hrs, with nothing plugged in, while boondocking/dry camping. If nothing is running, it will automatically shut off in 4 hours. Thankfully, I figured out how to connect directly to my trailers 12v system. No, I couldn't use my microwave, or air conditioner. They take up so many watts, that the Bluetti would be drained in no time anyway. When we were just running the trailer, charging by the truck, while traveling, was enough to keep it full daily. When we added an external freezer/cooler (full of fish!), we had to use our Champion 2500w duel fuel generator or get campsite electric to keep it charged. I have 2 200w pv solar panels, but left them home. It turned out to be a good choice. There was not much sun, alot of rain, and too many tree's where we camped, for them to have helped.
Yeah, you really want to run as much on DC as possible and only turn on the inverter as needed. Burning through 55 watts an hour with the inverter on seems like a lot but what would an equivalent stand alone inverter consume per hour?
I am sure there are better ways to hook up to the 12v power in a trailer, but this was low tech and worked for me. I could not find a youtube video that described my trailer situation. So this is what I did: I already owned a 30' solar cable with mc4 connectors on both ends and the Bluetti AC200 Max Rv cable set, even though I hadn't figured out how to make it work. I noted a "Zamp" solar port on the outside of my trailer. My rv dealer confrmed that the port went directly to the battery. So I purchased a PAEKQ 10AWG Solar Panel Cable connector kit, solar to Anderson, and a Solar Panel to SAE Adapter, compatible with MC4 solar connector solar extension cable. These allowed me to connect my mc4 solar cable to the "Zamp" port. Then I ran the cable around the outside of the trailer and in through the the electric cable hole. All I had to do then is take a hole saw and drill between the cord area, under the seat bench in to the area under our bunks. This is where I place our Bluetti when camping. Bluetti and bricks travel in truck. Side notes: get a 12v cord for your cpap. It will allow you to run the cpap directly from the the d/c side. The trailer is plugged directly in to the aviation port. Also buy a screen protector. I had an extra Canon LCD camera screen protector. Glad I put it on. It is currently cracked, after traveling to and from Alaska. I also learned that I didn't need to unplug all the cords every time I charged or plugged the trailer in to it. To charge, I just attached our two bricks to 25' extension cables. The cables traveled under the bench seat, with the solar cable. Pull through electric plug hole to generator. Shut off both A/c and D/c sides. It says in Bluetti literature that you shorten the battery life, by using it while charging. Generator finishes charging in less than an hour. Turn D/C on. Cables are all still attached. The only time I disconnected cables, was to take the adapter cable off to charge in the truck. Which worked great on long travel days. Hope this helps.

The invisible rainbow is not good with anything... just saying... especially sleeping in the same room or tent🤔 I'm glad I'm not the only guy who is thinking about it 👍
Well, not really. The EB150 does not support charging any external batteries. You can discharge any battery you want into the EB150 but it will not recharge that battery for you.
@@HOBOTECH thx for responding!!! I agree was not planning on it recharging the B300. Just wanted as an expansion battery. Also of note is that I can use the T500 to fast charge the EB150.
Here is a link from Bluetti about using B230. In theory should be able to use B300 like that. th-cam.com/video/ANt1-r1VNKs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3PhYImxqD-f5Qd_6
I wish I was educated enough in electrical that I could follow more of this. I'm operating one of these in my camper now for 2 months - seems great. I mostly only charge from my portable 350w solar. Most nights I go from full charge, down to ~65%. In the morning I setup my solar array and always fully charged certainly by 1pm - confident, so I'm not even tracking it anymore. I want to extend charging & storage capability to support my camper' and business AC and a 36 L fridge. So with my usage, I'm thinking to obtain 2x B300, as well as a portable duel fuel generator and also (overkill) interested to add the 2nd alternator. Because I want to operate an AC, separate ice maker, a laser engraver and knife sharpen wheel.
Do you have recommendations on a battery backup/UPS solution to work with a sewer, grinder pump? It’s plugged into a 20v outlet. The manufacturer told me the motor power requires 7500W peak draw at start up. After initial startup the wattage draw is “very low”. The breaker at the panel box is 20amp single breaker that takes up two spaces in the box.
betwwen ac200L and 200Elite v2 I think the ac200L i prefer because of the rubber protection over the plug ins??? maybe the Elite has 200 watts more of invertor wattage but I guess if size is a priority ten the Elite is interresting.
I need to know how a HAM radio set-up will comply, both using AC for DC conversion to the radio, and from the DC port. 13.8 is recommended power for a ham radio. Great video!!!
Hello and thank you for all the hard work you do i was wondering when do think that the 12 volt adapter will come out for 48 volt to 12 volts connection like the 200 max so i can hook up my van thanks again
When I unboxed my new Bluetti AC200L the first thing after turning it on, the display showed it to be at a 59% state of charge. Plugged it into a 120v wall outlet and roughly 20-25 minutes later, the display showed it to be at a 92% state of charge.
I have an AC70 and I think it will get me an AC180 instead of the AC200 for one simple reason and that’s because you can buy 2 of the 180’s for the price of the 200. The 180 will power everything I need.
I used to have a bluetti 200max i used it in a semi so i can run a air fryer and a microwave but a heater killed the inverter the Capacitors so i miss having it i ran a lot of things at the same time
At first I thought this would be a great tool for inside my truck camper, but not only is space limited inside, but there is only 200 watt of solar on the roof charging my existing 200 AH Lifepo4 batteries. Then I thought that if I was pulling a 6x10 cargo trailer behind me, housing a small cross bike, small ham shack/workbench, then why not put it with 800-1200 watts of solar on the roof? With the correct 30 amp in & out ports to the cargo trailer I could provide Aux power to the truck camper, especially if I upgraded to the 8,000 watt expanded battery option on the 200L. Hmmm. Something to ponder. Then I can power/recharge my BougeRV chest fridge, etc. Cheers, Davey --KU9L
Could you describe what this unit will power and for how long ? Not all of us have been schooled on electricity nor do we care. We need power for refrigerators and sump pumps . Will it do it ??
I wonder why they changed to that 48v output? I’m not very technical but what would be the advantage compared to the 30v? I use that to power most of my van full time and was thinking of getting the L for redundancy but maybe I’ll just get another max? Unless they offer that 30v plug on something else?
Thanks for the review! Is this a viable power source for the EcoFlow wave? I want a 30 Amp RV connector for my boat but the Delta Pro is significantly heavier.
Sorry, I was asking about DC so no conversion loss. The delta DC plugs directly to Wave. I'm hoping the 48V outlet of the 200L might be a future answer but in the mean time I guess the cigarette outlet would be the only way without using AC.@@HOBOTECH
I think Bluetti realized there were guys like me out there just waiting for a solar generator that would run all thier office electronics on solar 24/7 But it would never work without that programable UPS with A/C power kicking in on low battery. Now you can take a big chuck out of your electric bill every month.
I'm glad to see UPS becoming standard on many companies' products. When I got my EB150 back when they first came out, I asked Bluetti about leaving it plugged in all the time for CPAP use. Pass through charging instead of UPS function right? They recommended against it. I took their advice and put the charging brick on a timer so it isn't charging while it's in use. But with the BMS overcharge prevention, I've wondered why the caution. Any thoughts?
Hi dear!! ALways great video reach of tech content! I'm asking if you know the excact conntetor for the 48V camper output as it is very helpfull for DC sourcing. However I'm figuring the same issue as yours and I cannot pull any current from it! Do you have some updates? Thank you so much!
I was thinking of getting this Bluetti model for a van I’m building. Will I need a Wfco to plug it into? Charging is another issue, can I use a Victron Orion converter to go into the solar port with a xt60i connector
@@HOBOTECH I saw a video an eco flow delta was used with a xt60i plug going into the solar port and it seemed to work. Would I have to build a complete electrical system with a rv converter or be able to run all the wires from the Bluetti ?
I have a new test for you to add on - have a 65 year old, 5"2" woman lift every unit you review. Update: I can lift it but wouldn't want to do more than put it onto a cart.
For the DC output with the additional accessory attachement. it says the DC attachment accessory is 12/24/48 V not just 48V. Maybe the data pin will tell it what to output or the accessory itself will have some kind of switch.
It will be interesting to compare this to the upcoming $1500 Pecron EF3600LFP. That will be 92lbs and has a 3600watt-hour battery and a 3KW inverter with a TT 120V output. Comes out in February aparently in the US. Will you be doing a review Hobo?
ihave the 200L bluetti although they have its own?? charge control in the unit im wondering if with my 200w bough bi facial pnel can i still use a seperate. Charge Controlor like the Boughe charge controlor
Any thoughts on skipping the DC ports and using a 120vAC to 12vDC power supply. 90% efficiency seems achievable. Then no losses on the DC side as it could stay off. If AC was on anyways, then would it save power. Unfortunate to have a 2nd box, but if Bluetti is moving that direction, then would this be a reasonable alternative?
Great video as usual. I'm wondering if you could help me with something? Can I safely expand this 200L using the Power Queen 100ah batteries I currently own as long as I have the Bluetti plug? You see any problems doing that? Thanks. Ill make sure to buy you a coffee.
You can't "expand" the batteries (two way charge & discharge) with non-Bluetti batteries, but you can "supplement" (one way discharge) any 12v battery into the solar port of literally every solar generator ever made that supports 12v car charging.
Hey mate I have this unit while off grid travelling in our caravan. I use it to sometimes top up my caravan batteries however I want to control how much watts discharges from the Bluetti to the van ie our van can only handle 350 watts of input and the AC200l is discharging 600 watt so I’m assuming I’m wasting the remaining 250 watts?? Any help would be appreciated Thanks
Power stations only discharge the watts that a given appliance or whatever device draws from it. If it's drawing 600 watts, then it is using 600 watts. It's providing the same thing as an outlet in your house. If you connect your van batteries dc to dc directly through the 12 volt dc outlet, then wattage isn't an issue. Unless, of course, you have a 24 or 48 volt system. Perhaps one of their future 48 volt add-on connections does something to help you. The only way to reduce the output wattage would be to get a smaller power station.
I want to connect a car battery trickle charger like the Noco Genius 1. How long would this AC200L be able to power it if the car battery starts off at full? I think it would draw 0.15A at a presumed 12V? I am a bit worried about the parasitic load as it seems you indicated that the whole power station would run out of juice in 5 days even without powering anything? i need a power station that can power the trickle charger for 4 months at a time. Thanks
This addresses 2 things that i dislike about the Max. The slow AC charge rate and the loud charging brick. That brick is loud when plugged in and is loud whether it's charging the unit or not. I use mine almost exclusively using AC charging, but i do use solar panels on occasion
Can you put batteries with that as well? Does they have batteries for it? That's all I want to know. Then I might take some interest in it. But if it doesn't take any batteries , I have no interest in That thing.
Can you do a video on how to replace RV house batteries with the bluetti using the BLUETTI RV Cable 12V/30A Aviation Plug to XT60 Cable &XT60 to SPC45 for AC200MAX?
@@HOBOTECH ON the 200L you are correct, but it is on the 200Max. I'm seeing videos of people using them to power their Travel Trailers but I have yet to see one do a step by step process. My TT is solar powered, but would like to throw out the lead batteries and use the Bluetti 200max. I'm just not sure how to go about using the above mentioned cable.
So if I use a DC to DC converter from my vehicle alternator will the DC input automatically limit the amperage. ie if I use a 12v to 48v 30amp converter will it safely pull 15 amps at 48v?
Hello prof I live full time in a toy hauler and sometimes camping and other times boondocking. I plan to buy an AC200L+ PV200S and plug all my 110 sockets into it except one to recharge my Bluetti. I have a generator if necessary But also add a switch to send power to my microwave and water heater or my fireplace if necessary by my Bletti im tire of my wife jump breaker whit her hair dryer or boiler excuse my english here is a quick diagram.
The AC200L comes with an RV socket for 120v 30amp service typical of shore power in rv parks.. Have not learned if I need to lift the bond screw in the rv circuit breaker panel..
I purchased the 200L after seeing your black Friday deals. I have a question about bonded neutral plugs. I have seen others with Motorhomes using these Bluetti AC200s plugging directly with the RV's 30 amp plug. I have to use a bonded neutral plug to get my 200l to power my Odyssey motorhome. Is this because of the transfer switch in my motorhome that switches between shore power and generator? Thank you for the videos, my purchase was a direct result of watching your videos.
I've ran the 200Max 30A on at least 3 different RVs and never needed a bonded neutral plug. It has to do with your wiring in that motor home. Ask the manufacturer why.
Any way to test the UPS feature in the future under load? I have a smaller LFP Bluetti and the UPS feature fails under load over 200W~, seems like the 20ms delay is hiked up to a longer delay under any load.
Got a question that hopefully you haven't had yet. I have the AC200L and I'm wanting to charge my EcoFlow Wave 2 using the the 48volt DC output on the 200L. I haven't been able to find ant info on the cable or the connector type. I was wondering If you had any insight on this.
The 48v adapter box for the Bluetti outputs 12v so it's not going to help much to charge the Wave 2 -- meaning it won't charge it any faster than using the 12v car socket.
6:35 Wow that is really AC power consumption, thanks for testing that. BTW, how did you measure the AC inverter power draw with no AC load without getting inside the unit? It is easy to do with the stand alone inverter but for the power station it is more difficult to do.
I think he's testing how much power you lose if you have the unit on with the AC power also on. The electronics for the inverter draw power with out a load. Someone else in the comments had this situation and it really drained their battery. Best option is to turn the AC off if not in use.
@@wpherigo1 @6:19 he shows DC power meter that shows battery Voltage of 35.2V and current draw of 4.63A, so he must have somehow connect that meter internally to the unit. I have the same meter I use for my solar system. I hope he will tell us how he did it with that meter
Thanks for all the info, it’s a huge help! Q - In your appliance use chart, what do you mean when you specify “@50% cycle”, bullet point 2. Are you saying the 6k btu a/c will run for 9hrs if it was set to medium vs high or low? Thanks!
@HOBOTECH Is there a reason I should consider the 200L over the 200Max for a camping trailer/van conversion? Or, for that matter, the Goal Zero Yeti 300X which punches a bunch of my buttons but is kinda long in the tooth at this point.
I have a 200MAX - the 200L is appealing for the dual 100W usbc, integrated power brick (which does 1200w instead of 500w on the MAX) and the ability to charge @ 2400w vs 1400w on the MAX). I never use the wireless charging, so that isn’t useful. The 200L inverter drains significantly less juice when left on. Leaving AC turned on unloaded in the MAX drains it quickly.
@@HOBOTECHthat makes sense. Like to sell the adapter thing that like you said “who knows when that will materialize”, or something like that. Follow the money. Two things I hate, or lament about the 200Max is the painfully noisy wall wart and no UPS functionality. The 200L is a couple steps in the right direction.
How about the inverter voltage versus the grid voltage with the same meter since the calibration is relative to the company that makes the meter and the actual voltage can affect the working of sensitive equipment and may cause damage. Also does your Peavey amp have the same buzz on grid power?
I was wondering if you are in line to get a sample of the Bluetti D40 DC to DC converter charger that utilizes the 48V DC output of the AC200L. I would be interested in your take on this product, specifically for use to keep RV house batteries charged when using the AC200L instead of the the RV's internal DC charger that runs on 110v AC.
They have said nothing to me about this product. It wouldn't be good for charging house batteries anyway as the output would be regulated well below the required 14.4v. You're better off using a battery charger.
Greatings! I just received my unit and noticed that when I turn on the DC, no sound is made but the AC make a click sound when turning on and off. Is that normal in your unit? Please help!
I think you can limit the amp input in the app. ie. you could set it to 3 amps and that protect your truck inverter. However some people have had issues using car/truck inverters to charge. The manual says to try grid adaptive mode if you have that issue.

Great to see real life reviews. Thanks!

Just figured out that I can use the B300 to expand the EB150 as well as the AC200L. Thx for this vid!!!
This comment answered EXACTLY what I was looking for! TY!
First video of yours I've watched. You do GREAT reviews. Especially your summary to bring it all together
For something like that you need the Bluetti AC500 or Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra. Watch my reviews on those.
betwwen ac200L and 200Elite v2 I think the ac200L i prefer because of the rubber protection over the plug ins??? maybe the Elite has 200 watts more of invertor wattage but I guess if size is a priority ten the Elite is interresting.
I need to know how a HAM radio set-up will comply, both using AC for DC conversion to the radio, and from the DC port. 13.8 is recommended power for a ham radio.
Great video!!!

Thanks. Merry Christmas, Russ.
for now that 48volts diect inlet is used to sell this powert station an attraction.Hope they will soon relase what plugs in that 48v inlet
How many 100 watt panels would one need and what arrangement series or parallel to charge the fastest for the ac200L ?
Hello and thank you for all the hard work you do
i was wondering when do think that the 12 volt adapter will come out for 48 volt to 12 volts connection like the 200 max so i can hook up my van
thanks again
When I unboxed my new Bluetti AC200L the first thing after turning it on, the display showed it to be at a 59% state of charge. Plugged it into a 120v wall outlet and roughly 20-25 minutes later, the display showed it to be at a 92% state of charge.
If you read the manual, it says fuly charge it to 100% before use. The reason for that, it calibrates the display %.
Do you need a surge protector when connecting it up as a UPS?

Did you say that it Doesn’t have the 12v/30amp output? That’s vital to power my ham radio.
No 12v/30a! Other than that, it’s perfect.
12V-10A is all it has no 30A
I have an AC70 and I think it will get me an AC180 instead of the AC200 for one simple reason and that’s because you can buy 2 of the 180’s for the price of the 200. The 180 will power everything I need.
I have thought of the same thing, if it breaks you still have another one.
They changed 12v to 48v to save power, reduce cost, and to sell external converters and other accessories.
Any Idea why the new Bluettis are much heavier than the competition?
Thank you for the video.
I’ve seen it is more efficient at lowish watts. Significant run time difference at low watt AC.
Thanks for the review! Is this a viable power source for the EcoFlow wave? I want a 30 Amp RV connector for my boat but the Delta Pro is significantly heavier.
You can power the Wave with any AC source.
Sorry, I was asking about DC so no conversion loss. The delta DC plugs directly to Wave. I'm hoping the 48V outlet of the 200L might be a future answer but in the mean time I guess the cigarette outlet would be the only way without using AC.@@HOBOTECH
I love your informative videos and you’re also Funny A.F. !😀😆😃
I wish it had the high amp 12v that my AC200 has.
Great video! Thanks for all your hard work professor!!
When you connect extra batteries to this, does it increase the max load?
No
I think Bluetti realized there were guys like me out there just waiting for a solar generator that would run all thier office electronics on solar 24/7
But it would never work without that programable UPS with A/C power kicking in on low battery.
Love your channel man.
You can charge with whatever you want as long as you don't exceed the max voltage of the input.
@@HOBOTECH I saw a video an eco flow delta was used with a xt60i plug going into the solar port and it seemed to work. Would I have to build a complete electrical system with a rv converter or be able to run all the wires from the Bluetti ?
From that same video the victron orion converter was able to put 15 amps through the solar port
thank you for the in-depth review!
I wish they would release thet 48v cable.
I did say "high amp 12v"...
I hope so@@HOBOTECH
Any idea on what it will be
I'm hoping is some kind of 12 volt fuse box good for van/RV's
It will be interesting to compare this to the upcoming $1500 Pecron EF3600LFP. That will be 92lbs and has a 3600watt-hour battery and a 3KW inverter with a TT 120V output.
Comes out in February aparently in the US. Will you be doing a review Hobo?
I will keep my AC200 max, the upgrades don't reallly excite me.
ihave the 200L bluetti although they have its own?? charge control in the unit im wondering if with my 200w bough bi facial pnel can i still use a seperate.
Thank You ❤
Great video as usual.
Can I still buy you a couple coffees on here Professor? How do I do that now? I want to keep my word good sir.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Power stations only discharge the watts that a given appliance or whatever device draws from it. If it's drawing 600 watts, then it is using 600 watts. It's providing the same thing as an outlet in your house. If you connect your van batteries dc to dc directly through the 12 volt dc outlet, then wattage isn't an issue. Unless, of course, you have a 24 or 48 volt system. Perhaps one of their future 48 volt add-on connections does something to help you. The only way to reduce the output wattage would be to get a smaller power station.
Nice new features but it can only take one additional battery.
What Power stations do you recommend to charge an EV (Tesla) at 115 or 240V? Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks
That will never happen from AC unless you supplement with solar. I suggest a solar trickle charger instead.

Question? Why can't the 200l expand out to 4 b210s like the ac240 can? couldn't you daisy chain it the same?

The app is optional and not required for operation.
Can you do a video on how to replace RV house batteries with the bluetti using the BLUETTI RV Cable 12V/30A Aviation Plug to XT60 Cable &XT60 to SPC45 for AC200MAX?
That product isn't supported by the 200L.
@@HOBOTECH ON the 200L you are correct, but it is on the 200Max. I'm seeing videos of people using them to power their Travel Trailers but I have yet to see one do a step by step process.
The test is always done under load.

Does it have the feature where it charges to 80 percent on grid power and uses solar to charge to greater than 80?
Answered in the video.
I want one for my frig. Will it run on?
Does the blue area AC 200 have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth?

Q - In your appliance use chart, what do you mean when you specify “@50% cycle”, bullet point 2.

Solar panels that have sae connector to the bluetti (connector plug, not mc4) is ????
How does a 200l connect to a 12v fuse panel in a camper van? The 200 Max had the 12v/30amp out.
It doesn't...
@@HOBOTECHbut will the D40 voltage regulator allow it? If so, how many amps could it supply to a small truck sized camper fuse box (eg Blueseas)
I don’t understand why they switched the 12v/30A for a 48V output.
What’s that about?
To cut costs and sell more accessories.
Good morning Tom
Thanks for the channel please review GECELL T1 PRO power station.
How about the inverter voltage versus the grid voltage with the same meter since the calibration is relative to the company that makes the meter and the actual voltage can affect the working of sensitive equipment and may cause damage. Also does your Peavey amp have the same buzz on grid power?
Of course it doesn't. I've used it in probably 50 reviews. Inverter tests at 120v as most do now.
Not all of them. Some lesser-known brands are as low as ten volts less and will burn up a Keurig coffee maker. That's why I now ask.@@HOBOTECH
Nice new tests

Is 800W in silent mode the lowest input power you can set while AC charging? My F150 has a 400W AC inverter, so that would be a problem.
I think you can limit the amp input in the app. ie. you could set it to 3 amps and that protect your truck inverter. However some people have had issues using car/truck inverters to charge. The manual says to try grid adaptive mode if you have that issue.
