Our own, meaning small town community. Small towns have no color. Black, white, red, doesn't matter. It's the "community " as a whole. They won't tolerate the violence in unity as a small town. Everyone should be against looting, stealing, car jacking, destruction of personal property. That should be something every decent American can agree with.
“The good ol’ boys” isn’t a racist term. That’s all of us. Regardless of what color our skin. Simply cause alot of southern folks believe and see is that… we do not see skin color.
I came from a small town n my great grandson was born with cancer n the whole town black white hispanic all rallied around to help n support my grandson n his family during this battle raising money to help with expenses n food n helping with their other two children who were only 2 years n 4 years old n having prayer vigils they couldn’t have made it through the two years. Without all of the community support n that is what good ole boys n good ole girls do no matter what race or religion. God answered prayers n as of right now he is cancer free
Good Ole boys is just good Ole boy's that stick up for there own. Red Neck's is Red Neck's. We're all from the SOUTH. GOD BLESS TEXAS YA'LL ❤GOD BLESS STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN ❤
that tic u felt when u heard good old boys. rewind the clip. they showed an ex marine stop a robbery. he was showing context to the meaning. not sure how anyone could think it was bad
Saw Jason Aldean last year in concert. He played this song. He explained the entire song to the Audience. Everyone was singing to this song. It is a fantastic song.
good ole boys refers to men raised to have morals and values and beliefs that are generally for the good. things like kindness strength bravery and acceptance.
I appreciate your genuine take on the video. this here 51 yr old white man. I'm telling my take from this song is. people are sickened and over the political push to devide coming from 1 side. Jason's meaning from this song is. respect our flag. respect the country. respect your fellow citizens. and most people will defend the defenceless. smaller the community people know eachother on first name basis. and 75% of all Americans doesn't matter ethnicity will defend there fellow citizens. nobody ranks above anyone. be good to eachother. 🙏
Lots of good ole boys here. Some are black. Why would we care? A new black family moved here a couple months ago and were truly surprised that they were immediately included. That is sad. Good reaction.
This song has nothing to do with race. It is literally saying what you do in the big city, stealing, looting, sucker punching, small towns don't put up with that regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual orientation
We as in the people in the small town, which consists of any race. He’s talking about the government rounding up guns. Good ole boys, hard working, taking care of family and friends, honest loving life and community. When we have used the term good ole boy it is definitely worth striving for.
If you google Jason Aldean concert talking about try that in a small town. He states exactly what he meant by this song. I grew up in a small town with around 800 population. We all knew each other. Our grandparents knew our friends grandparents. Our parents knew each other. You didn't have to lock doors because everyone looked out for each other. We weren't all white. We all loved and took care of each other no matter difference of opinions, religion or skin color. ❤ when our next door neighbor was diagnosed with cancer we all took turns helping with anything that needed done. If they needed housework done, lawn mowed, a ride to a doctor's appointment, garden tended to, help financially to buy your expensive medicine.. anything like that. The town would help. No worries or concerns. It's the sense of a community, not necessarily a small town. You treat your fellow people in your town like family. You actually care about each other, have compassion for each other.. want to help people and not rip them apart. I believe Jason said he misses the small town mentality that he grew up in and we need to have that now. We (United States) are in a sinking ship right now. Growing up in a small town led me to becoming a nurse. To be there for others, to have compassion and care for someone even if we are strangers. Our world needs to come together. We can't be divided anymore. We need to stand as one. They want us all to be fighting with each other and be divided. Please let's show them that just like the original reaction to this song.. they wanted to say this is racist.. this is promoting violence.. to hate this song because it is dangerous.. yes it is dangerous. It is dangerous because it could lead us to start coming together and loving our neighbors. Caring about others and no longer being divided. It doesn't matter what color our skin is, it doesn't matter our religious beliefs, it doesn't matter who we love. We are all born under the same sun and the same moon. We are all the same. Its time we start proving that to all the ones that wanted such outrage listening to this song had the opposite reaction. We can do this ❤ united.
By own he means community cousin small-town especially in that's how communicate care of each other that clip in the end of the video is perfect when coming to meet around here you're going to get the help you need me no friends all your neighbors people who never lived in a small town or spent much time in a small town wouldn't understand is
I live in a small town, all races live here, My neighbors are black, white, asian and I would protect any of them, we all know each other and we are all good ol boys, that means, good people in a small town. The people that think this is racist think it is because theyve been told to think that, Ive seen so many people talking about this video and by their comments they obviously havent, even watched the video. people just need to be good humans.
I just found your channel and I love how real yall are. When you break it town, small town, neighbors hood, block, gang, church, religion, small communities of people. All take care of their own. I think it’s a song that’s not to be taken literally, but to be expanded in a broader sense.
Great reaction, I didn't see any racism either, I see a great song about good people standing together, whatever comes, which really resonates with me. The people against this song seem to be the same people against Sound of Freedom...funny that.
Great viewpoint. 👍🏻. GOOD OLD BOYS .. those raised up right. Take both clauses together. It’s those that were raised up right. Only suggest that we could see your faces a little bit bigger to see your REACTION as the video scrolls. What a beautiful mature couple! Much love
good thoughts go a long way. you might never know that something you said, or a smile or greeting might make someone's day a little brighter. Have a blessed day y'all.
I'm a 69 y/o christian white woman, born in 1954. I grew up in the 60s in a small community. Up the road from us lived an older African American gentleman, Mr. Blane. We loved him and him us. He'd walk to the country story, and all of us kids would wait for him to come back through. He always had each kid a piece of chewing gum. Back then, we went from 1st grade to 8th grade and then graduated. He got all the kids a bible when we graduated. I was heartbroken that I didn't get my bible from him. Since, he passed my 7th grade year. He'd gotten really sick, his sisters wanted him to move back to Louisville, Ky with them, with his family. He told his sisters no, that he was with family, us. We took care of him until he passed. That sweet, precious man touched all of us in a special way.
Definition of 'good ol' boy'... a man considered as being trustworthy and dependable because of his ordinary and down-to-earth background and upbringing.
My definition of small town is the way your brought up, that mentality everyone has in a small town. Because the majority of us all rely on each other. No matter who you are, what color you are or if you're from this planet . It's just , it's a state of mind and mentality that if you're not gonna be respectful then I wouldn't try it because we're not just simple people, we look out for each other. I mean, I had more friends from different backgrounds than I had white friends and we all wore cowboy boots and other things, respected people, worked together. I mean, they would agree, It's a mentality and respect thing. But if your gonna mess with us then you're going to have a problem.

I grew up in Seattle which was extremely white. I was pretty good at baseball but all-star coach would feature his kids and his drinking buddies' kids often over me Even though I was clearly better. The moms and dads who weren't part of the club loved me and would pull me aside saying you're one of the best players, I love watching how hard you play and how smartly you play. I hope you know you're better than how they're treating you. As a kid, even now, i have a hard time receiving compliments. So id convince myself they were just being nice. But when i look back now, it almost makes me tear up because these parents had kids on the team too; being removed from the situation it's clear that they saw what my parents saw and genuinely wanted me to understand that life is hard but we're out here and we recognize that what's going on isn't fair. I'm sure my parents were so proud of me because i never complained and i would always have the dirtiest jersey and work the hardest to make it impossible to ignore me. One allstar game when i was 14 the coach out of the blue didn't play me so my dad pulled me aside and Said son, you're going to be the bat boy and the best bat boy that anyone here has ever seen. So I went out of my way, I had the bat back in the dugout before the runner got to 1st. I was sprinting full speed, there was no way the coaches could forget me. Every single at bat. So instead of sulking on the bench, my dad had me playing reverse psychology and by the mid innings, the whole crowd was cheering me every play. I took it on as like a challenge. And i can't lie, it felt satisfying knowing the coach (who was a psychology professor) had to hear the crowd cheer for the bat boy over and over. I ended up pinch hitting n the 9th with a runner on 1st down a run. I singled moving the runner to 3rd, i eventually got to 2nd on a fielder's choice. So 2 outs 2 on down 1 and the guy hits a shallow liner to left, i didn't even look at the base coach mostly because i didn't care and I was going to make him watch me score the winning run. Which I touched the plate just before the catcher could tag me. Everyone acted like they were my best friend and i was the coaches secret weapon 🙄 But my dad was so proud of me and that was the most satisfying thing. He taught me that life isn't fair but you make of it how you choose. He referred to those coaches and said I wish i could tell you different but you'll understand as you get older... Just because you're an adult doesn't mean they stop acting like children. And the kids on your team, many will grow up and form that same mutual admiration society still reminiscing about how good they were, scheming about how to get their kid the most PT. There were like 7 coaches, all white, and living in Seattle I'd never heard the phrase before but my dad called it "the good ole boys' club". I didn't get it until later but he was referring to in that instance just people, not color, who form advantageous relationships and play politics to secure favor for their son's meaningless little league game. And a good ole boy isn't necessarily a negative connotation as my dad used it. It's often referening culturally maligned southerners who wear hats, buckles, drive trucks, love their moms, go to church, open doors on dates and help their neighbors. Exactly like what Upchurch describes in his song "Hollerboys"
The gun part was about gun control. If you read about other countries it's the first thing they did before communism. He wasn't threatening anyone. Small towns are like family, we know each other. We don't want all the stuff here. That's all he's saying. Most people in small towns are proud of their country and love America. What the song's about. Good old boys in the South is just good guy. Hunts, fishes, good hard worker, honest, nothing to do with the K k k. If you're from the South like me, you know what means. "He's a good guy, I like him." Good old boy. Nothing more. Yes the enemy is real "Satan." Great watching you guys subbed!
Good ole boys could be taken as a slang .... but, for the most part it refers to old school. Them's some old school boys is what I believe Aldean is referring too. they don''t cower in the corner they fight back.
Good ol’ boys= being trustworthy and dependable a man considered as being trustworthy and dependable because of his ordinary and down-to-earth background and upbringing.
The moral to it all if you had things you worked for for a long time worth a lot and a group of people come in there and destroy it. What would your reactions be which is let it happen what would you take care of business. What all them people did in the videos did wrong and it should’ve never happened
You should see what Woopie Goldberg said about this song. She was one of my favorites in Star Trek. You probably are old enough to remember her in it. But, Jayson Aldean is suing her. Because, she said some horrible things about him on the View
He’s referring to the second amendment right to bear arms he is saying one day they say they’re going to round up, in other words, take all the guns away
Ya, if you're a victim or a racist yourself, you may take and run with it. Problem is, good ol boys references the good people in the community. Black, white, Hispanic. All races have been known to live and defend their communities.
Anyone offended by this song, must like violence in their town or city. Plenty of small towns especially in the south where majority are black or minority. Don't think they'd care for rioting/looting either.
“Boy” ain’t necessarily racist, I had a friend from Houston stop a fight because saying “hey boy” doesn’t always mean a racist thing it could be I’m just trying to get your attention. Listen to The band Perry “If I Die Young” Hopefully if I die I’m going to my home in our father’s mansion
Just so you know I live in a small town and I have friends living and other small town and on Friday nights after work it's basically a group of about eight guys sitting around and almost every one of those places you go out of the eight guys at least one of them are black and they're all considered good old boys there's no racists and there and let someone mess with the black guy see at the white guys don't jump them
the worst part about the back lash over this song was it was the white people in the media calling it racist with the exception of whoopi and sonny from the view who is black she claimed ts racist and he is racist because he lives in "the most racist town in amarica" that town blacks make up the majority. personally, I feel it was manufactured outrage to bury any stories on the sound of freedom a documentary about "The incredible true story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from traffickers" good ole boys are the type of people that you can always depend on to be there to help you out if you need it in my small town the 2 black families were the good ole boys. there yes there was a race war but it wasn't black on white it was the natives vs everyone else black white asian over a land claim dispute because the indigenous chief sold part of the reservation to a land developer who was smart and in his contract made sure the land was from then on excluded from the reservation but the native people didn't take kindly to that so they blocked any way in and out of the town. after 2 decades now whenever there's any claim issue across the country they hold that one town hostage. then when people started blocking off the ways on and off the rez to give them a taste it was all of a sudden forcible confinement and unlawful imprisonment so the government finally stepped in and said ok if you want us to charge them for holding you on the reservation we will start charging you for holding them in town and things cooled off now they just block the main road that bypasses the town
Isaiah 59:14-15 NLT Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked.
You don't even know the meaning of Good Ol Boy good ol boy just mean somebody who helped anybody especially in the community you guys need to get out of your comfort zone that's the only way you're ever truly understand and go out and have conversation with people from the other side you can't just assume you know what the word means because if you interpret it a certain way
Geez its so simple its pointing out the differences in a small town and a city has nothing to fo with race but my gosh everything is about race these days its fricken worse than ever like what the flip
In case Mr. Aldean has already forgotten,.....Six years ago back, on 10/1/ 2017,.. Aldean and his management cooperated with Homeland Security to deliberately cut his show short in Las Vegas during the Route 91 Festival in Las Vegas so that the scheduled active shooter drill could proceed as planned. Nobody died , by the way. The entire event was staged..........and they got away with it,..............in a big town.
Why exactly do you need to check yourself because not a thing he said in that song was racist maybe you should actually listen to the meaning of the songs instead of your feelings getting hurt because you think something
I grew up in a small town. Good Ole boys means a dependable , someone who's got your back.
Black and white people need to stick together, not make excuses to hate each other.
Them farmers stopping their own work to help the other farmer that needed help... They are GOOD Ol' BOYS

It isn’t a racist thing, it’s about just us protecting people, our friends and neighbors. It’s about Gods power and grace.
If you let the video play a bit longer than you would hear the full context of what he's talking about and wouldn't have to speculate
Saying this song is racist is like saying Born In The USA is a patriotic song.
Really appreciate your words. Community equals Unity. They want to destroy our communities because division is King to them!🇺🇸💙❤️

Everyone acted like they were my best friend and i was the coaches secret weapon 🙄
But my dad was so proud of me and that was the most satisfying thing.
Together we win
If you look for racism in everything, you're gna convince yourself that you find racism
I'm from a town of 170 people, we take care of our.own
Good ole boys could be taken as a slang .... but, for the most part it refers to old school.
Them's some old school boys is what I believe Aldean is referring too. they don''t cower in the corner they fight back.
Good ol’ boys= being trustworthy and dependable
a man considered as being trustworthy and dependable because of his ordinary and down-to-earth background and upbringing.
We means all of us don’t get it twisted
Good Ole boys isn't racists it's country boys
You make your screen bigger and the video smaller. So we can see your reactions better.
The moral to it all if you had things you worked for for a long time worth a lot and a group of people come in there and destroy it. What would your reactions be which is let it happen what would you take care of business. What all them people did in the videos did wrong and it should’ve never happened
match the video with the good ol boys it shows you
You should see what Woopie Goldberg said about this song.
Not everything is about race , Dear Lord help us. There’s one race. The human race.
i thought i was only one that Sayed Billy bob joy lmao
He’s talking about the Second Amendment with his grandpa’s gun.
Ya, if you're a victim or a racist yourself, you may take and run with it. Problem is, good ol boys references the good people in the community. Black, white, Hispanic. All races have been known to live and defend their communities.
Small town will shame one of their own if they did wrong.
Good old boy is southern for good ole boy ..not racist..he's good people he's a good ole boy.. country boy..he's down...he's a homeboy ...
Our own = our small town. There is nothing racist about this at all.
One of my best friends is black and I'd stand in front of him any day and he's a good ol boy it's meant to be your character here from Tennessee
I think you two need to listen to “Walking in Memphis
Anyone offended by this song, must like violence in their town or city.
Plenty of small towns especially in the south where majority are black or minority. Don't think they'd care for rioting/looting either.
It isn’t about black vs white if you see it’s that is not the way God wants it. I so love my black friends.
Just so you know I live in a small town and I have friends living and other small town and on Friday nights after work it's basically a group of about eight guys sitting around and almost every one of those places you go out of the eight guys at least one of them are black and they're all considered good old boys there's no racists and there and let someone mess with the black guy see at the white guys don't jump them
As christians y’all should explore country music a lot is about God. Three wooden Crosses by Randy Travis.
Billy Bob Joe???
(Chuckle...)
It's anti-crime and nothing more.
Small towns have black and white people
the worst part about the back lash over this song was it was the white people in the media calling it racist with the exception of whoopi and sonny from the view who is black she claimed ts racist and he is racist because he lives in "the most racist town in amarica" that town blacks make up the majority. personally, I feel it was manufactured outrage to bury any stories on the sound of freedom a documentary about "The incredible true story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from traffickers"
good ole boys are the type of people that you can always depend on to be there to help you out if you need it in my small town the 2 black families were the good ole boys. there yes there was a race war but it wasn't black on white it was the natives vs everyone else black white asian over a land claim dispute because the indigenous chief sold part of the reservation to a land developer who was smart and in his contract made sure the land was from then on excluded from the reservation but the native people didn't take kindly to that so they blocked any way in and out of the town. after 2 decades now whenever there's any claim issue across the country they hold that one town hostage. then when people started blocking off the ways on and off the rez to give them a taste it was all of a sudden forcible confinement and unlawful imprisonment so the government finally stepped in and said ok if you want us to charge them for holding you on the reservation we will start charging you for holding them in town and things cooled off now they just block the main road that bypasses the town
Isaiah 59:14-15 NLT
Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked.
Not sure why you would think this is racist....it is just saying, do not bring this crap to our town! NO
I am from a small town we had Black, Chinese, White and others good old boys are country guy's not color
You don't even know the meaning of Good Ol Boy good ol boy just mean somebody who helped anybody especially in the community you guys need to get out of your comfort zone that's the only way you're ever truly understand and go out and have conversation with people from the other side you can't just assume you know what the word means because if you interpret it a certain way
good ol boy is just a male country person
Good ole boys just mean country boys, and there are many black good ole boys. Is homie racist? Brah??
You seem to miss the message.
Geez its so simple its pointing out the differences in a small town and a city has nothing to fo with race but my gosh everything is about race these days its fricken worse than ever like what the flip
No
nothing racist about this song
I think you lost me, nothing racist in this song, have a good life, Ill miiss listening to you
sounds like you are putting your own spin on this song, big fan but you are wrong on this one
