Girl from a small town. Maybe 200 total (and that's a possible exaggeration). Every male (and a lot of moms) had rifles and handguns. We would hear a noise close to a home and 5 people would easily be right there with guns drawn. Then they would be held at gunpoint while the police were on their way. Word got out in the late 70s - you didn't try that in our small town.
Now the town is going to crap because all of those incredible protectors have passed away and the pansies moved in. Breaks my heart 💔

As a small town boy, I can tell you that this is spot on. We have each others backs, no matter skin color or political affiliation. You come around here trying that foolishness, you won't like the outcome. It is not a threat, or a call for violence. It's a friendly warning.

Im from small town America. We have lots of areas for hiking, swimming holes, nature trails, reserves. Most of these places used to be you could just go to these places. No fees or anything. Unfortunately after the rise of Social Media alot of these places were posted and spoken about in public forums. Then there was several years where during the summer months you could not get near these places because they were packed with people from NYC almost everyday and parking is limited. Then after a couple years these places became so polluted by people leaving trash behind that now we have to pay entry fees, or in some cases pay for a permit days in advance and they will only issue so many permits per day. It sucks that it had to he that way. But we try to take care of our land.

They said it was racial long after the actual song was released. The video was done with a courthouse in the background where a lynching had happened many years ago. He does not live that far from it so it made sense to do the video there. He was also the performer on stage in Las Vegas when the mass shooting happened. I have seen him a couple of times really a great singer. Dave Budweiser really?

I lived in both big cities and small towns. I was always safer in the small town. I raised my kids in a small town. Much better environment...for several reasons. Now I am old and even my great grandchildren are too old for Trick or Treat. But even though I now live just outside of our nation's Capitol, where it is very heavily populated....I live in a quiet neighborhood with winding streets and lots of kids. I sit out on my front steps on Halloween with my pumpkin, handing out treats for the kids. It's a great way to meet the neighbors, and the children are so cute and well-behaved. Washington D.C. has become a dangerous place that I am afraid to take my granddaughter, but here....40 miles away....I feel safe and in the company of people who would stand up to defend this community. (It also doesn't hurt that many of my neighbors are ex-military 😊) There are men and women I wouldn't want to go to blows with around here....my son being one of them. BTW...my daughter's best friend is from So. Africa. New sub here.

When people think of America or any other country, they don't think about life in a major city, they think about small town life. That's where the heart of the country is and where you see traditions and values. That's where the dream is. For some reason people got that twisted. No, the city isn't where you live, it's just where you survive. The city is where you make your money so that you can one day retire in a small town where people care for one another and you can have some peace and quiet. Cities are nothing but bystander effect and political correctness gone crazy. Anyway, the media's reaction to this just shows you how CANCEROUS our media is. I blame them for most of the problems we're facing.

I really like the message of the song. I have lived in a small town all of my life, and if antifa or BLM decided that they were going to trash my town they would be met with an army of ordinary people who would refuse to let it happen, and that's the message of the song. It's a shame that city dwellers can't or won't do the same.

Some of the truest shit in the world, had a string of crimes in my local area. One of the most wealthy ppl in the area put out a $250,000 bounty for their arrest, as in somebody catch this criminal & lets help the police as much as possible. Wasn’t long until that criminal was arrested, behind bars & getting 0 sympathy. Person who identified them got a cool $250k
Reason that happened was, this criminal was causing problems & the person who put out the bounty is a very wealthy figure head in the community. 250k to him is not pocket change but it’s pretty close to pocket change. So yeah try that shit in a small town, that’s the result your gonna get

Regardless of how you interpret this song...or how it makes you feel. It still needs to be underetood, that the major population centers in America have engaged in a lot of mass/group foolishness, for a variety of reasons, across many different eras.
People who live outside the populated areas really dont care whats going on with city people. I live in a rural area (in Texas). And I dont pay one second of attention to city people. They dont live like me, they dont think like me, they dont have the same morals as me, they dont work like me... We might as well be from two different planets at this point.
So if people have the intent to come to where I live, and behave like that... they wouldnt even make it out of the starting gate. They would be stopped instantly. And they'd probably never be seen again.
I live on a back country road, that wasnt even paved until a few years ago. Its a dead end road. There is no through traffic. If you dont belong here, you instantly stick out, and have eyes on you. The land around us is hard to get through, if you dont know it. We have wild hogs, swamps, woods, bayous, huge ranches, etc... You'd have to have a death wish if you came here to start trouble.
We have all kinds of farm and heavy equipment, that can make people disappear without a trace.
I remember when the riots were brewing....not just BLM, but Antifa too... they often said the small towns were next. And strangely, that never happened. I wonder why?

This is the newspaper clipping in the video for the song:
A newspaper article in the background of one of the video’s shots, Collins found that it appears to be a piece pulled from a since-discontinued small newspaper from Mississippi.
Finding the original article in an online archive, Collins shared that the clipping used for the video looks to be from a 1956 issue of The Petal Paper in Petal, Miss., in which a public relations consultant for the NAACP wrote to the publication’s editor P.D. East, commending him for using his platform to ridicule white supremacists and criticize the Jim Crow era policy of segregation in schools.
“Never have I seen anything that startled me as much as the March 15 issue of the Petal Paper with its incredible ridiculing of the White Citizens Council crowd. I’m referring specifically to the full-page as I assume you wrote headed, ‘You Too, Can Be Superior,'” the letter read. “I hope I am not congratulating a dead man. This must have taken courage and I hope you are still with us.”
Collins goes on to read portions of East’s response letter, in which the editor detailed being called an “N-lover,” losing subscriptions to his paper and being “bothered and harassed” continually by citizens of his town. In a 1971 column written for The New York Times, East further detailed his experience, saying his open criticism of school segregation led to him losing every subscriber of the Petal Paper, and at one point receiving three death threats in a single week.

You guys should really watch nothing to loose, it is a perfect explanation of the types of events depicted in the video. Also, if the police are the tyrants, then wouldn't the citizens have a defend themselves ? Jason didn't tell tell the whole story, only one side of it. Yes it's wrong to assault police officers, but that aggression is understandable, if you take police brutality into consideration. It's a complex issue, and it needs a much bigger discussion to fully understand it. But i would look up police brutality during protests, That will give you a lot of necessary information. Also watch the movie.

If we continue with the mentality That the police can do whatever they want, then the violence will continue to grow. As someone else pointed out wrong is wrong, and that's absolutely true. But that applies to everyone. No one should be above the law, i can also find a few other videos that might help you guys understand a bit better.

"...To drive home its purpose, the music video was filmed outside the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee, where in 1927 an 18-year-old black man, Henry Choate, was lynched after he was falsely accused of raping a 16-year-old white girl.
"...The overwhelming opposition to the song was such that Country Music Television (CMT) was forced to pull the music video from its programming within three days of its release. CMT gave no explanation for its decision.
"...Replying to the public response to the video, Aldean tried to turn the provocation back on those who have denounced it. He said he was not “pro-lynching,” and such an interpretation of the song “goes too far” and is “dangerous.” He also posted on Twitter, “There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it.”
"...However, Aldean has a history of racist and right-wing political activity. In 2015, he made headlines for wearing black face, wearing dreadlocks and dressing up as rapper Lil Wayne as a Halloween costume. He is a supporter of Donald Trump, with whom he has golfed and to whom he has given performances at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
"...Recognizing the opportunity to embolden his fascist support base, Trump immediately backed the video and defended Aldean with a post on his Truth Social platform that said, “Jason Aldean is a fantastic guy who just came out with a great new song. Support Jason all the way. MAGA!!!”
"...Fascistic Republican Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis also defended Aldean, tweeting, “When the media attacks you, you’re doing something right. Jason Aldean has nothing to apologize for.”

The outrage over this song was an absolute joke. Made no sense whatsoever. Even the BS about the outrage being about the courthouse in the background was a location where lynchings happened. So what, he wasn't there or took part. The song was on point and the message is true. Okay rant over. Love watching you two FYI.

I mean, that's learned behavior. Black people had no rights and segregation in 1960, 1961, then they started rioting. riting 1962, 1963. some small riots. Finally 1968. They kill MLK. Biggest riot ever happens. Finally they pass the laws. Gays have no rights. Stonewall riots. Rights happen.
At some point you'd also think the governments would realize they need to change before it gets to the point where people are rioting. There's literally been close to no change in America for any marginalized group until an explosive event.
For some reason history tries to paint Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement as this peaceful march and etc and then he got shot... no... there were years of destruction and riots and it took millions to restore the destruction after they shot and killed MLK.

The point of the song is to spread the message that you don't bring your politically fueled chaos to tight knit communities because they each have a protective system that won't allow that garbage to come in and defile and destroy their stable way of life.. Everyone protects each other and stands up for the sake of their own community. That's what it's supposed to be like.. That's what made America.

That song isn't THAT bad. The issue is the videos and etc that are downright racist. Like it's not even an argument. In the tiktok video for the song they used newspaper clippings. Here's the article with the newspaper clipping they used:
In a TikTok posted on Saturday (July 22), former minor league baseball player Danny Collins did a deep dive on one of Aldean’s promotional TikToks for his controversial song released back in May. Zooming in on a newspaper article in the background of one of the video’s shots, Collins found that it appears to be a piece pulled from a since-discontinued small newspaper from Mississippi.
In closing his TikTok, Collins pointed back to the accusations against Aldean of including thinly veiled racist dogwhistles throughout his song’s video, saying that the inclusion of this letter to East in the promotional clip felt very on the nose. “Why would this happen to Mr. P.D. East? Because he tried that in a small town,” Collins said. “He challenged the Southern, racist establishment. But let Jason Aldean tell it … and this song has ‘nothing’ to do with race.”

      @Saphthings ปีที่แล้ว

So the song literally uses clippings from a newspaper that's about people in a town upset that someone wrote an article against the "White Citizens Council" telling black people and they're not inferior. In order to find the full article people had to deep search, so this isn't even some easy article to find to use on the video. That means either Jason or his team had to literally go and scrape and look for something specific to use...

How are the videos racist? They are all from protest riots (11), not the protest part, and robberies (4). All but 3 pieces of riot footage are from Canada and Europe.

This song is a great example of why millions of people have left the cities and are looking for small communities and rural areas to get away from the liberal insanity that is running the cities, especially in states run by Democrats in America. We are moving more and more into a Neo-tribal level like the ancient Greek city states as global organizations and Federal governments are becoming more and more irrelevant as local communities police their own areas, locally source their own products, and many of us could give a rats ass about the Federal government.

Welcome to America where everyone is treated with equally and respect (certain conditions may apply) . Apparently if you’re a Democrat, live in a large city or don’t agree with the small town people who think they know how other people think and feel, you’re trashy. People who live in large cities, yes even poor people and minorities do look out for each other. Maybe if we start respecting everyone and ban assault weapons that were only intended for military use, we could actually live in peace.
