you two are so young and excited about learning and enjoying new things, it's quite refreshing!! happy to have discovered you. please try out their Sea Shanty song in concert. the audience is as astonishing as Home Free is
This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies, Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old (about 100 yrs.) & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Ring Of Fire", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "Seven Bridges Road", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley", "Skull & Bones" etc.
Home Free is amazing. The beatboxer Adam, was doing drums, harmonica, and other sounds. They can all beatbox to a degree. Chance, back left was doing the jaw harp sound. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing lower and high with the tenors. Rob, glasses, is the amazing tenor. They are a great group. They sing covers but also sing originals. Three of them are songwriters. Love them!
Your reaction to acapella is wonderful. After hearing these kinds of groups (Pentatonix & Voice Play & Home Free) you build a higher respect for the human voice.
The sounds were made by Adam Rupp and Chance (Adam) doing the Jaw harp sound. They can all do some beatboxing. The more you see and listen to the more you learn. Enjoy Home Free and welcome down the rabbit hole
There were two men beatboxing. Adam Rupp, their beatboxer was doing all but the mouth harp. Adam Chance (Chance) performed the mouth harp. The two lead singers are: first singer, Austin Brown, high tenor; heavyset singer is Rob Lundquist, lead tenor, and the bass singer is Tim Foust bass extraordinaire. He can sing from deep bass to high tenor, he has a 5 octave range. Chance can sing from bass to tenor, he has a 4 octave range - he just can't go as low or high as Tim. The beatboxer Adam Rupp also will sing accompaniment when not beatboxing. He has a beautiful tenor voice. As you react to more videos by Home Free, you will become familiar with them and appreciate their versatility - they can sing country, doo wop, folk, pop, rock, and even rap.
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free reactions! Home Free is the best! They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. They will make you dance, cry and fall out of your seat laughing. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range and Adam, the beatboxer, can't be beat. I don't even think of them as an acapella group anymore but just my favorite band. Thanks for the reaction!
It's easy to get hooked on #homefree. They're mesmerizing, totally addictive. Fantastic reaction. Check out their Folsom Prison Blues, Ring of Fire, Stand by Me, and Children Go Where I Send Thee.
I love that this song made it onto your screens! This is the music of my people, the Appalachian mountain people, and I'm so glad you got to hear such a beautiful version of this song! Thank you for sharing!
Your reaction to Home Free is priceless! New sub for more Home Free! Fans of Home Free are called Home Fries! Especially with the holidays coming up! do their music!! Do the older Home Free music before things changed in the last year!
I so enjoy watching ppl discover #HomeFree for the first time! Thanks for the great reaction and hope you continue down the rabbit hole. Subbed hoping for more of them!
I'm not sure if you guys know much about Ed Sheeran - but he has a Live production called - "You need me, I don't need you LIVE" - on the channel Song Kick, its from 12 years ago when he wasn't one of the top grossing male artists of all time, He was a UK underground singer/rapper that was essentially homeless and pretty much unknown globally. Now it has like 32 million views. Standing on stage he makes incredible beats layering sounds with a loop pedal. Just a guitar a microphone and an incredible voice. Then he showcases an almost unmatched musical ability to do way to many things, with way to much god given talent. This home free video was one of the most amazing videos I had ever seen when I first watched it. This Ed Sheeran video is the only other one i can think of that impressed me as much as this one did.
Yes, the drumming too. The guy behind the guy with the long hair is the beatboxer and is doing 90% of the sounds. The guy doing the sounds is Adam Rupp, the beatboxer. The long-haired guy is Tim Foust, Bass. He has a 5 octave range. The two lead singers are Rob Lundquist, with the glasses, and Austin Brown. And last but not least is Adam Chance, known as just Chance. He was doing the sound at the beginning and at the end, and probably a few others.
They are totaly Acapella group. Everything you hear is coming from their voices.. The beatboxer (Adam Rupp) is one of the best.. Another good song they do is "When a Man Loves a Woman"
Check out their cover of Folsom Prison Blues. The bass singer, Tim, finds an even lower note to hit. This is a deep rabbit hole to go down but its worth it.
My favorite 3 songs of theirs is BROTHERS IN ARMS , MAYDAY, ALL THE REST. LOL 😂. enjoy your selves. This group I would put against any other group with their harmonies, they can’t be beat. By anyone. Loved your reaction. I’m subbing for you now. ❤
Welcome to the homefree rabbit whole. If you like this they have more good videos you should check out. If you like the beat boxing you should check out the Adam Rupps beat boxing drum solo live videos fans have posted on TH-cam from there shows.
There is another really awesome A Capella group (Not Unisex, 4 men, 1woman) called Pentatonix, Please check out their cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah " You will be glad you did, I promise. Another great Home Free song would their cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire", it truly is fire 🔥
Just for future reference let the video play and listen vs talking and making sounds while it's going. Enjoy it inside and then tell us reaction after it's over.
No instruments whatsoever. The beatboxer (Adam Rupp) is also one of founders of the band (in 2001 - his brother left to go solo in 2016). Christmas is coming and they have loads of gorgeous Christmas songs, including collaborations with Alabama ("Christmas in Dixie") and The Oak Ridge Boys ("Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". Dive down the rabbit hole!
