I've owned two 2003 A.C.E. 750 Took one for 9000miles over a summer from coast to coast to coast. Added a quart of oil (no oil change) once I crossed America from Cali to North Carolina. Tightened the chain a couple times. 9000 mile tour without an oil change. Got it back, drained it well and oil changed it twice in a week after just to see what may flush out. Ran perfectly as always. Thanks Honda! Highly recommend to this to someone new to bikes.
My father-in-law has decided it is time for him to stop riding. He gifted me his 2002 Shadow ACE and I’m flying out to Florida in a couple of weeks and riding that beauty back to Arizona. I just ordered some Viking bags for it and had them drop shipped to his house. We’ll put them on when I get there. I can’t wait! Adding that bike to my stable of four other Hondas. An ‘04 ST1300, ‘06 CRF250R, ‘19 CRF250L Rally, and a ‘21 Africa Twin. My first Honda was a new Z-50 in 1977 when I was 8. 👍🏻
Hate to hear that for your FIL but congrats on scoring an awesome and bulletproof bike to add to your already cool stable of Hondas! You've got all your bases covered whether you want to hit the motocross track, trails, true adventure, sport touring and now something to just cruise on lol! Safe travels back out to Arizona, that's quite the trip. I used to live out in Bullhead City, people around here in TN think it gets hot sometimes but they've not seen anything until you get out there lol!
Oh yeah, Honda knocked it out of the park on this year's color! If they're going to make us suffer with only one color to choose from, it better be a good one lol!
Nice. I just bought the same bike, but an ABS with the rear disc. I did a National Cycle Windshield, Honda AUX lights, Cobra padded sissy bar with luggage rack, Cobra Floorboards, and Viking Saddlebags. I’m going to get the crash guards in your video.

It's amazing how good that 750cc engine sounds with a good aftermarket exhaust. I have V&H Short Shots and highly recommend them to anyone who wants their Shadow to sound mean!
I like your thinking on the floorboards and seat! Ultimate makes some killer seats, pricey but you get what you pay for from my experience with them over the years. Nice! I'm assuming yours is the Pearl Blue / Metallic Silver combo, right? I was selling them back then and loved that color combo, especially paired up with the chrome accents, it really popped.

This is gonna be in my wet dreams, how tf did I not know this bike existed? It looks like an actual old Indian chief or an old Scout, has the reliability of a Honda, super cool color scheme and a sufficiently powered engine! Definitely on my bucket list.
lol when I first saw the beginning of this comment, I was like where are we going with the Marquez reference on a Shadow video! I hope he can stay healthy and still has the drive for years to come, it'll be super interesting to see just how much more of a GOAT status he can achieve. It's been crazy watching his career over the years and can't wait to see what else he pulls out of his hat! ...and his skill level shows that none of us "need" a supersport bike and these cruisers are more up our alley when it comes to actual skills lol!

Oh yeah, Viking has been killing it with their bags lately! Just recommended them to a guy the other day hunting for a nice, clean setup that aren't too pricey. Yessir, you've got to enjoy being loud and heard for miles if you want to run these pipes lol! It'd be nice to see more valved exhausts make their way to the motorcycle world so that way you can have it quiet when you want to and flip a switch if you want to be heard. I didn't care too much for them until I had the setup on my car and now I want it on everything I own haha! It's due to the whole supply issue thanks to this rona mess. Normally, inventory isn't this much of an issue, even though they make less ABS models than they do standard models but the whole supply chain thing has thrown a wrench in dealers being able to get inventory and most aren't even at a 1/3 of what they normally stock. Crazy times but hopefully we'll start to see a hint of normalcy returning soon...
Any issues with the dynojet commander? I have the same bike and would like to squeeze more juice out of the 750 I have the Vance and Hines pipes on mine but stock intake.

I would like to see locking luggage options. Dealer doesn't say or back anything. You should be able to add a Givi Monokey system v47 or 52 trekker. I want to lock up items like helmets and jackets so I don't need to carry them around all day.
Definitely! However, I love how the Aero looks when you remove the passenger seat with that big fender, so I'd probably tell the misses she'll never be riding with me lol!
Hello, just curious if you have any of the engine noises on your 2022 Grom? Several people on youtube have videos with the noises on their bikes. Sounds like something wrong in the transmission. They said so far Honda or their dealerships aren't doing anyhing about it.
Knock on wood, I haven't had any weird noises on my Grom. It's finally warming up again so I'll be putting some more miles on it and abusing it some more so we'll see if it pops up this year and hopefully before my warranty is up lol!
I love the video, I just purchased the 2022 shadow 750 aero and it seems I can't find any aftermarket exhaust besides the one you have in this video does the 750 phantom and the 750 aero have the same motor and I should just buy an exhaust the fits a phantom?
Having the same problem with the windshields go to the links you have and they say don't fit the 2022 honda shadow aero 750 just where are you getting this info cause this stuff doesn't fit. !
They fit, I've linked to exactly what you see installed on the bike in the video ;) A lot of the time, manufacturers and or sellers for a product online are very behind in updating their model years for what fits what etc.
My saddle bags caught on fire because the exhaust got too hot , not a mark on the bik except my cobra exhaust tip got a little black. I live on crappy Michigan roads and am a new rider and have Def slammed some pot holes on this thing and the shadow just straight up eats it and keeps cruising. I gota k and n oil and air filter just changed the oil I just need new tires and spark plugs and I'll be ready to get mt dyno jet cant wait!!!
I put a top case on my 05 shadow after removing the stock passenger back support. Don't laugh, everyone i know wants to do the same. Wow , a scooter/cruiser.
Is it possible to upgrade from standard rear drum brakes to rear disc and ABS on a 2015 Aero that's in excellent condition? Is that something people do?
I have a black cobra highway/crash guard. Looking for a bolt on hard harley style lower fairing that will fit the cobra bar. Does anyone know of one ? Or a crash bar for the Honda shadow phantom that will take one
The first thing this bike needs is ABS. I know this model is available from the factory with Antilock Braking System. After the four years that I owned and rode my 2012 Shadow Areo, withOUT ABS, I can tell you the rear drum brake should not even be street legal. The ABS model offers ABS and a front and rear disc brake. The Honda Shadow has been in production for so many years, I cannot imagine why honda has not made ABS as STANDARD EQUIPMENT on this otherwise great bike. The addition of ABS & a rear disc brake makes complete sense when that deer steps out in front of you at 60 mph. For the price of those Cobra Pipes you could have had a bike with stock mufflers and ABS. Maybe those cobra pipes and “crashbars” will save you when that day comes.
Only asking because Amazon and ebay and moto and honda dealer says they don't I just don't wanna order and not fit that would really suck then the whole process of returning the stuff
Yessir, the factory ECU will compensate some. We've become a bit spoiled by technology, needless to say lol! These things really sound good once you throw on an intake, some don't like a lot of intake noise but I love the sound of it sucking in so much air paired up with the pipes. It definitely makes the 750 engine sound larger than it is.

Wow! It's been a long time since I paid any attention to what Honda had to offer in the way of cruisers. I think their best looking bike was the Valkyrie and the Phantom, but the Phantom doesn't look as good as it once did. The Honda 750 used be more like a softail with a skinny front tire. I don't much care for the blockiness that Honda has opted for in this iteration. Looks too generic. Great sound however!
Are we talking the original Valkyrie or the refreshed 2014 spec Valkyrie? The looks of the Phantom haven't changed since it was introduced back in 2010, only the color schemes. I liked the coloring they did on the valve covers etc back then though and the original color scheme, it was my personal favorite. Yeah, you're thinking of the Shadow Spirit 750 with the skinny front tire. They made the original DC model that was chain drive with a 19" front wheel and then when they went shaft drive with the C2 version of the Spirit, it got an even larger 21" front wheel. The Spirit 750 had a long run that's for sure, hated to see it discontinued but with cruiser sales being lackluster, quite a few have been on the chopping block over the last decade'ish. It'll be interesting to see what the cruiser market does over the next few years and if it can rebound.

@@DRUMMERKIKKO I did not do the crash guards. They should fit the ABS models though. My issue was crash bars wouldn’t work with the floorboards.

Look into Viking bags. I got them for my 2009 shadow and love them.
Definitely needs a set of color matched hard bags.
I think i'm going to save up to buy this exact bike and accessories next riding season. Can't beat the look, comfort and price.
