Issue with this approach is that you have to cross over to incoming lane to do this.

this is meant for parking lots, where all others cars too are trying to get in or out of parking. Everyone is driving slowly to begin with and there shouldn’t be an issue with them waiting 3 seconds for you to get into your spot.

I got my drivers license today and had to park like this during it, and trust me I find it much easier when it’s between two cars (as long as both are properly parked) than when there’s no car or only one. With techniques like the one in the video and some others (my method is very similar), the two cars are used as “landmarks”, they allow you to know exactly when to stop or start steering in a direction.
You also know when to stop moving back, because you want to be aligned with the parked cars.

@@nctsgrass Parking lots are only available in big premises like a mall or big building.
In India most of the shops are present beside the road itself and the only way to stop and shop is to park in the road itself where there is always a car behind you waiting for you to move ahead . So we have to park as quick as possible. If we pArk like this, by the time we want to drive back there will be another car just behind my car giving me no option other than to drive forward.
