They teach this in finnish driving school. We don't look at it from mirrors, but make sure the backs of the cars are parallel. Then it works with also different sized vehicles :)
the real technique is that when you see the trunk at the corner of the back passenger window you should start to roll that steering wheel to right ! otherwise if the car is bigger you will hit it
As all here have said line the rears up and then follow the rest of the guide. If you line up the mirrors of a mini next to a minivan then put the lock on …crunch !
Parkotronic (selfparking) for a reason! First car white, then black, at the and switch to white again, took ages, she was wearing jeans/skirt! Bad editing
Lining up mirrors works for similar cars, but lining up rear axles is more universal. Also your doorhandles shouldn't be visible in your wing mirrors, if set up correctly. But, if it helps you get the knack of parallel parking... hey, whatever works.
The Black Passat is standing behind , but when the steering was rotated to make the wheels let the car go straight backwards , the Black Passat was shown to be standing in front . The car standing in front of the parking car is white and the Passat is behind it ...
I literally love parallel parking.I actually want to get out and help people who don't know how to do it right. I just want to say let me in your car.I'll do it for you at no charge.Because I love it so much!
I wish everyone cared about the details their own vehicle...nice video, well done. But how do you get people to realistically care about others around them... Trying to be the example...🔥
@@Abdullah-ib9mcFor my car, the back passenger door handle correlates with the rear of my 4 door SUV is. Go get a tall cone or something and put it beside the back of your car. Sit inside it and find something that coincides with that object maybe like a door handle and make a mental note of it.
It depends on the type of car you drive and the one you align it with. I just guess the difference in length, it does not have to be exact. I drive a hunchback, so it is a caravan, I stop a foot or so before the other car's mirror... but mostly I stop just a little bit before for regular 5 door cars.
If someone has 50 years of driving experience he/she should know that you shouldn't turn the steering wheel when the car isn't moving at all. It's bad for the tires.
This is a controlled experiment since the car in front of you is the same size car of the car behind you and the same size of your car. The same tricks won’t work if you are parking an suv and a sedan. Although in general this trick works sedan to sedan
the people saying “that only works this and that” no. you look for a parking space that fits your car all the other cars doesn’t matter. you look for your own car if the parking space is enough. this technique is which i always use and never had problems with.
They are talking about lining up with the cars. Not all cars are the same length so using the mirrors as a guiding point is pointless unless your car is the same size as the cars that are already parked. Not because you won't fit, but because the angles would be different. for instance if the car in front had a longer rear, then lining up with the mirrors on it would put you too far forward to correctly angle yourself to back into the spot. If the rear car is wider, then lining up with the corner of the front of the car would put you too far over and you would end up in the grass. It's basic geometry.
Parallel parking was part of our state's driving test, a good number of hours in driver's ed was devoted to this. First you got your permit which meant you could only drive with a licensed adult and not at night. This was usually a parent and they had to suffer through the parallel park 😂😂. The examiners would definitely take points off on anything less than a perfect maneuver (for each maneuver )They weren't about to put some entitled ahole on the road ---- they were right Oh, and cars back then were boats, or try parallel parking an 18 wheeler.....fun stuff 😂😂😂
Hey there! I'm curious, can you share with me how many attempts you made to nail that perfect parking for the video? I bet it wasn't easy, but I'm sure you pulled it off like a pro!😂
great demonstration. 2 points though, you are too close at the beginning to the white car and too close to the car with your last turn into the car park. Every instructor will stop you and not allow you to proceed being that close. The rule for the distance is a door length. second point is even though every new car has power steering, it is bad for the system if you dry steer. Otherwise great technique
That's only if the other cars are parked perfectly 😅
And you don't have to look at other traffic around you, but you're so right!
And are same brand, model and size.
Look at the space she has and the perfect lines to help her 😆
Don’t forget how close the parking space is
Yep your fecked if the other cars are hugging the lines
Meanwhile everyone in Europe: this looks big enough to park 2 cars.
Meanwhile in France: I'll just give the car in front a little nudge so we can fit two cars in this space.
in india it's 3 or even 4. room for some bikes too
In India we thought we could park a lorry
@@turanamonobody cares about India please shut up
😂@@Croz89
With that distance between the other two cars you could park a truck
With no backups
I’m cracking up! 😂 I was thinking the same! 😂🤣😭
Точно! Вообще проблемы не вижу!
😂😂😂
Only if you're an asshole
This would only apply to same size cars unfortunately.

That's true. I'm driving a big car/truck and it's hard to fit in in-between 😅
I loved how the black car suddenly came at front and then again went back at the end 😂
Very observant
Both cars stayed where they were from the start.
Bro 😂
Look ath the mirror frame bruh@@aniruddhsali
Explain😢
DONT use the mirrors to be parallels as a starting point, cause ur car can be smaller, ALWAYS use the cars backsides
and how will you know that both cars backsides are aligned?
@@srhcan thats what mirrors are for if u cant do it by basic instict. Its ok if ur backside is a little behind the other car, just not the opposite

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. WTF?
This clip took 50 years to make...
She slapped her red bass hole then this dog fart sprayed out
U r also brilliant.
With that so much space you could park anyhow
You’d be surprised 😅
Yeah I mean who needs a technique with that much space XD
I could pull head front first into that spot haha
True, she could have pulled that little car in.
What to do if no cars are parked beside.
LMAO😂
farking shit. just ramp the gas pedal and leave it on the grass. 😂😂😂😂.
What if no car in the front or the back how to park? Could you show please 😂😂😂😂
That's exactly how my driving instructor taught me. Greetings from Germany! 🇩🇪
Well and good when the car you’re parking behind is the same model and length as yours.
Itne space mei toh truck khada kr du 🤣🤣🤣
Be careful what you measure against, some Ute's are much longer at the rear, you'll hit the tray for sure. A lot of assumptions in this clip.
Point 1- adjust ur side mirrors perfectly
since the 70s.I've been pulling straight into parallel parking. 😆
That's OK if you've got two parks!
I learned this in driving school 52 years ago. When I took the test I was the only one who passed the parking
I kind of suck at parking but I can nail parallel parking because of this exact technique, def works.
I did the first two steps correctly and then one guy started guiding me. I crashed onto the car behind😅
This technique quite doesn't work when you're driving a long truck like F-450 superduty like me all the time
LoL, the front bumper paint exchange tells me all I need to know. Also, the rest of the editing is just fun.
Bro😂
😂

I just drive a motorcycle so I can park easily 😂
Love the play on 50 years of driving experience that doesn't sound weird at all if it's a basic thing taught in every drive school in your country.
Nicely Done 👍🏆🥇
50 years of driving experience😮
& her hands are so young 😂😂
Learned this technique on the first day of my driving class.
Not the mirror but the back end of both cars are the best calibration points. Still a great video for equally length cars.
The first part you are supposed to lineup the back bumper.
That's alot of parking space there man😂
The Black Passat is standing behind , but when the steering was rotated to make the wheels let the car go straight backwards , the Black Passat was shown to be standing in front .
The car standing in front of the parking car is white and the Passat is behind it ...
Instructions unclear, my Limousine got wrecked
I try this.. yeah perfect parking lol😅😅😂

Yes you should pull up to the front car ,but only match the mirror if you have the same size car.
I'm watching despite not owning one😂

Perfect lesson with east method ❤❤❤
That’s only when there is no traffic from other sides😂
Is the wardrobe change also an important step? I didn't learn that step.

You could back a truck into that space😂
That's literally how you are taught to parallel park in Europe from day 1 ... And you could fit 2 cars into that spot
Great new car unlocked 🔓😂😂😂😂
Yeah try doing that with traffic from behind honking. That's the real skill. U gotta be quick and accurate at the same time.
This technique using uae driving licence trained person😮

It's called parallel parking. We've been doing it since the wheel was invented.
Thank u
Learned this when I worked for the post office. Works every time!
Just make sure that you start the manouvering when the cars are aligned at the back. Then follow the rest of the instructions.
How can you judge that they are aligned at the back

Well idea of teaching.
Back in the 70's, learning to parallel park was a standard maneuver that we had to learn as part of Driver's Ed.
in Uruguay it is part of the test. And you have a lot less extra space to park. If you live in a city is how you need to park.
Brilliant

That parking space looks big enough to just drive in.
"Why is taking you so long to park? "
