I passed my test in Tehran 52 years ago and again in London 49 years ago. I was looking a good video for my son and came across this video. It remind me when I was taking lesson in Tehran, almost same techniques as parallel parking.

Thumbs up for doing it in a non dry steering way. I pretty much did the same too for reverse parking, however, don't do this when there is a car following you, because they probably can't predict your action.

I have very good practice in backing my car in this one parking spot. I used my side view mirrors and my back up camera. I make sure that I don’t hit my next door neighbor’s car.

If you do this way of reverse parking in Dubai, you won't pass the RTA driver's license assessment test. However, Australians among more than 40 other nationalities are allowed to exchange their national licenses for local ones in the Emirates without RTA exams.

By saying *you won't pass the RTA driver's license evaluation test*, I wasn't criticizing the way of reverse park (garage) in Australia in this video. In my experience, there are many good ways to park, but I'm not sure if there is any "perfect" one. It's just that there are different requirements for driver's license examiners in different countries. Actually, I learned driving and completed my driving test in Australia. I have 2 trainer to teach the different parking methods, they aren’t use this way. Because if the car parking have a lot of car it will be esay to hit the other car.

So, as I said, there are many different ways for different types of parking. There is no such thing as a perfect one. With my more than 40 years of driving experience in various countries, as a military and further professional driver, I have a driver's license from the USSR, Canada, Thailand, Russia, I am trying to get a UAE license now, one piece of advice for everyone - park as it is convenient for you. If you want to park perfectly, choose one comfortable way for yourself and, with practice, polish it to perfection.

It depends on your height and the position of your seat. Usually, somewhere around the door handle for regular cars. Give it a try to find your perfect reference point

What if you park on the right side instead of left is there any adjustments? What if you’re reverse parking at the end of a parking bay and don’t have the 3 lines to judge distance?

Be aware, this does not work in underground parking. @1:47 car will hit the pillar.
This works with pillars too. You just need to drive more towards the middle of the road at the start. Covering this in an upcoming video
