More like annoyed but this, people quite often forget you can't eat anything before blood test or some other medical tests.. Of course people with diabetes are different case.

Don't eat I'll find some way to squeeze you in between the patients I am suppose to be seeing that day, yes I understand it is inconvenient to come back here again tomorrow, but the MD does need your results to finish you chart (and it was your fault anyway)."
Then they don't show, or forget, or cop enough attitude that they refuse to come the next day- and get even more upset if they are on medications that require those levels to be checked routinely so they are held until the blood results get back, because we aren't going to fill them unless we are sure they aren't doing more harm than good.

@@hanneskarlbom6644 Yes, it absolutely does matter what tests are being run, however routine labs generally measure cholesterol levels, glucose, calcium levels and a myriad of other different things that are heavily effected if you have eaten beforehand.
Throwing off those labs could have the MD change a does of medication increasing it due to higher numbers than anticipated because your body is running food through its system when it should be empty. (in laymans terms)
@@hanneskarlbom6644 as a X-ray technician I will add you also need to be on an empty stomach when you have MRI or CT with contrast (because you can throw up), and also can make stomach diagnosis worse.

At least she's honest about it. There have been people who just lied about it to get done with the checkup only for their doctors to freak out later because of their ridiculously high glucose levels
(A high glucose level in a blood test is an indication that a patient may be diabetic, which is a serious condition.
However, if you've just ate, it can also result in higher glucose levels, albeit temporarily. That's why doctors tell you to not eat before a blood test)
I don't get people who lie to doctors and similar experts. I mean why bother going in the first place if you won't be getting accurate readings? Sheer stupidity.
@@Tiavals Probably a psychological remnant of our time as kids either lying to teachers or parents to not get in trouble. Since people will see a doctor in the same regard as a guardian since you want them to tell you you're doing fine so people lie to get good news. It's not logical but human nature be like that sometimes

Lmao, she was so proud of it too. For those who is like Subaru, oblivious to a procedure of certain blood test. You aren't supposed to eat 8-12 hours before. This to ensure that you glucose level isn't spiking and produce an accurate result.

@@BlaxeFrost-X what I do to avoid forgetting is just not to take in anything when i need to take any medical test and I take these tests early in the morning.

the first and only time I have ever gotten my blood tested was when I got Malaria and couldn't eat anything for about 3 days. (yes I did not go to the doctor until I am almost dead. I thought I could just thug it out)
