Update: You don't need these files for mirror settings anymore, they can all be found in game 'view settings' menu. Mirror size, FOV, vertical and horizontal offset, all of them.
As a beginner myself I really enjoy your videos. My main struggle is consistency. I alternate good lap times with realy bad ones. Every race I hit a wall or slide out. maybe you can make a video about this and how to become better in this

Thanks for th review of the hidden Hud setting and its setting location: a lot of the sim community doesn't know this. But a lot of us VR users Know this because the location of the setting is displayed in VR before the game starts. Its just not displayed on a monitor. So as it be it is hidden to the majority. So I write this to say join the Vr community you will never go back to a monitor. I hope to see you with your VR google on; it will change your experience of sim racing.
I just found out something that kills me: while in the car, ctrl+left and ctrl+right will move the hud closer and further away from you in VR. So if you are like me and feel like you need to sit "closer" to the dash in every car, but the hud in vr suddenly is behind you are weirdly close, you can use that to adjust the view back out. I put it so basically the widgets are int eh dash like the regular car's MFD and now I don't even have to turn my eyes really to see the info.
How did you move the leaderboard to the left ? I have triple screens and its in the middle of the dash. I tried turning it to 0 in the hud.json file but it did not work ??
Hi, please is there a way to have the RCTL race control captions to show in the very center of screen. It shows in the very bottom center, but I would like it in the center of screen eye level.

on the subject of the virtual mirror, is there a way to show it in VR? im visually impaired and im blind in the left eye and impaired in the right and VR is the only way i can see enough to race. So you can imagine how i struggle with the mirrors in the car.
Is it possible that you'll make a video about the races themselves? Like how to handle slipstream, how to handle degrading tires, how to handle lighter cars, how to manage your tires and fuel, when is it a good idea to overtake or go defensive, etc.

Hey mate, thanks so much for your content. Just wondering if you knew of a way to display the HUD elements (tyres, brakes radar etc) whilst in VR and recording to OBS Studio. Hope that makes sense.
Is there a way to change the comms settings or hud popups when other drivers get penalties or something so i dont see them, as i rather only get comms relating to me
I tried turning off all HUD options except virtual mirror and radar, but no matter what i did the driver lap times list was still in the bottom left corner. I don't know exactly what i pressed, but now when I load in to any track i get a text screen overlay that shows a list of keyboard control options (but still not the info i wanted), and it goes away by holding the F2 key... but my radar and virtual mirror are gone even though they are still "enabled" in the settings menu. How can I reset it to default without losing my other settings, like controls, calibration, and graphic settings?
I restarted the game and it was fine, no text screen, mirror & radar are on. I cycled through the HUD display until the relative times list was off. I still don't know what I did to cause that issue.

@@Boonatix early on I made changes to the HUD jn the files and since renamed it to get a clean version and have everything on for HUD ingame but not getting any info on screen.
I was excited to see this, but then bummed out when the Virtual Mirror size and vertical offset options were not in my HUD file in the Config folder. Only the VirtualMirrorVisible option... any tips?

Roll into the corner's back up the braking and when you are coming out of the corner the hard on the fuel you will use up less of your tires.

Yes, with the current version it is possible to edit it better :)

It should do that automatically actually... but there is a setting in the menu to show messages like that! Did you check?

Maybe you can write it on your own. Just copy the lines out of the video. But don't forget to make a copy of the original file befor changing it.
It's missing from mine as well but was there before? did you ever find a fix? i manually wrote it in but it didn't stay
