Im confused. Why does he havr these type of powers now that he took full compound v? When he was taking just temp v, he had like Homelanders powers, why does he have these ones now?

It’s the cancer he got from TempV aka V24. He injected Compound V in a desperate attempt to survive his cancer but instead it was the cancer that got the powers. But it also gained sentience in the form of Butchers former ally Kessler. Throughout season 4 the cancer has been killing him & causing him to see hallucinations in the form of Kessler his dark side, his devil on his shoulder beckoning Butcher to let Kessler take over. It’s not until he finally lost faith in Ryan in this episode he let Kessler take over & revitalize Butcher to take on the Supes.
