I feel like Joe is comic Butcher incarnate, he truly embodies everything that makes Butcher terrifying, his rage for supes, his lust for blood, and his darkest desires

Comic Butcher was kinda psycho, he would brutally murder people (especially supes) and stating it wasn't truly him, he was somewhere else watching it happen while his dark desire does the job. Kessler is essentially this, just a manifestation of Butcher's focked up mind, and Butcher allows him to kill. He is still aware of the situation, but it's his dark desire doing it for him
He's more like Hulk than like Venom in a way.
The Hulk is still Bruce Banner after all. He is not a foreign entity.

@@simonjack9699 I am confused, If Kessler is not "the boys version of symbiote" (in this case Venom) and just his dark conscience, then why did he say, that he (as "supercancer") help him kill Ezekiel by "giving juice into Butcher" and he can help again. Like if he is not "the boys version of symbiote", then I don't understand and I am confused.
@@josefmoucka9584 It's like when Bruce talks to the Hulk as though he is talking to another person. Back in Infinity War, Bruce wanted Hulk to come out but he refuses. They are the same person but have different personalities. I am no expert on this though.

I know people are bummed out that Kessler isn't a "real guy" and that JDM's role is somehow "wasted", but imho having him as the stand-in for Comic Butcher is brilliant and JDM plays the part too, I'm excited to see how he's gonna influence butcher even more in the final season

@@SirsasthNigam. I don't know why he went that route AND still made that Diabolical episode canon then. The diabolical episode with the Cancer V showed that the tumor was a separate entity from the host.
That being said tho, on the contrary, having him just be the dark nature of Butcher works because having just a sentient tumor as an antagonist whom we don't really feel very compelled to is probably not going to work well.

The parasite in him probably act more on instinct, influenced by vague commands than a being with complex thoughts.
Kessler’s line of “I kill Ezekiel and I am you”, probably threw people off abit but at the end of the day, it’s all in Butcher’s head.

I just realized, we first saw Becca helping him most of the times and we did not see Kessler. Slowly and slowly Kessler started manifesting until he started seeing both of them ( When he kidnaps Sameer). Butcher gave The Boys many chances even with their biggest shot (The virus) but they all failed him. Kessler kept nudging him and telling him it is a mistake. That was the point that Becca disappeared and we started only seeing Kessler. In the end when he had no more options, he gave in to Kessler's demands.

The fact that the V’d up tumor wants to kill all supes makes so much sense if you think about how a normal cancer in a normal human would feel if it were sentient. The normal cancer would probably want to take more lives or even kill every human on the planet including the host its in and I love that Kessler embodies that aspect.

I think Joe's character is perfect. The dark manifestation of a humans desire brought to physical form. I was more tripped out that butcher was talking to no body the whole time. But it makes sense watching older episodes to the latest. Joe is Butcher's dark side that reresents the true version of butcher. While Becca is the innocent side to butcher that represents the morals but never offered a solution.
Butcher is whole now that he realises that the only way to end the supe threat is to eliminate all of them. Good, Bad and the horrific. Butcher is like any human that realized its us or them and he figrued it might as well be them.
