    Hey guys. I hope you all are doing good. This video is the first video of the "Lets Talk about Robots" series inspired from all of your questions over Instagram and TH-cam. Feel free to post more any feedback or suggestions. I hope it will be useful. Tried to keep it very simple in the beginning. Enjoy :-)
    What makes a Robot a "ROBOT" . It should have following three elements
    1. PERCEPTION - How robots perceives the world around then with the help of Sensors, Cameras, Lidar, Radar
    2. DECISION MAKING - Brains of the Robot - Makes the decisions based on the data collected from "PERCEPTION" stage
    3. ACTION - Robots performs a task in the real world with the help of "PERCEPTION" & "DECISION MAKING"

      I'm the same way! (And coincidentally because of the same movie lol) Although the interest was never really focused on in my younger years, it was most definitely in the back of my mind and now it's something I'm highly considering pursuing!

      Agreed. However, that is future and everthing with plan is not always go with plan. Avoid the "overplanning" and start experiment on building robot at your own hand. (sooner the better like right after the video.)
      Plus, "Elegoo" might be a good start.

    When one of my teachers suggested I get into bionics I was skeptical because I didn't think I could get into something like that. I was mainly exploring molecular biology or artistic careers so I was scared to get involved with something so unfamiliar and confusing. My curiosity has peaked and I am a high school junior who finally has a direction in life because of this video (corny but it's true). Thank you.

    Hey, thanks for enlightening my mind. I was wondering that, is it possible for us to pick all three aspects of this?
    Like, you said that I could pick any one of these three, but I can't help but to find myself amazed by all these so I was wondering if I could work on the perception, decision-making as well as the action part of robotics

    • @LetsTalkWithRobots
      @LetsTalkWithRobots  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes definitely you can learn all three aspects of it . I did it myself.
      As a matter of fact when you start doing project and assuming that you will be doing it in your own in early days. You will end working with
      1. Sensors - perception
      2. Software- decision
      3. Controlling motors - action
      I hope it helps

    What if I wanna learn all 3

      You will learn eventually but you have to start somewhere. For example, I started mine as a hobby from playing with electronics and coding when I was 14 . As I moved towards more advanced projects, I had to gain knowledge about other things like modelling, mechanics, AI etc. Getting started is super important and your personal interests and projects will automatically guide you through it. At least that’s what happened to me.

    Just join FRC (First Robotics Competition) especially if you live in Michigan, Texas or a Cali

    I don't know what should I choose... I really like robotics but, I'm lacking experience. My hobby is making rc toys like tanks, 4×4 trucks, simple robots creating windmills, generators, electricfans and more from scraps. But I think I can't achieve it cuz I think it isn't enough for my experience. And also not a genuis in math... I only got a grade of 94, and I'm scared it isn't enough. I like logic and being practical

      You will be surprised how many times I have seen my mates who were not good at maths traditionally but did amazingly well when they got into robotics. Robotics is a filed where you get to apply mathematics and other fundamental concept in real world projects , everything starts to make sense. Not to mention it’s super cool so Just go for it. You will never know until you try it.

    Mechatronic and Robotic engineering are not the same?

    It would be wonderful if you could start making videos on programming the robots in python.
    This would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dont you have to know no.2 to engineer no.3? :)

    • @LetsTalkWithRobots
      @LetsTalkWithRobots  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a robotics engineer you start with an overview of all three but as you get more experienced, you end up getting specialised in one. This is not something which is fixed rule . Robotics engineers navigate among these three areas quite often throughout their carrier.
