Actually Kevin Bond is the originator of that sound! He’s from Chicago. Also terry moore used to play for the Hawkins as well and also was an influence to Kevin bond in many ways.

@@Erainia Well, yes of course you're entitled to your opionion, and in some previous cases I can agree with you - the Electro 1 and 2 were identical, only the OS changed (and a 2 on the panel and back..) The Electro 3 and 4 are quite similar - basically they put another engine in their. And of course - Stage (1) and EX, very similar. Stage 2 and 2 EX even more so. The EX got more memor, and an improved Leslie sim (which they actually made official, AFAIK. In this case, which you might have missed, for the first time in the Nord Piano-line, have two piano parts, and two sample parts, which previously have only been found in the Stage series (as panels A and B). The ability to layer two pianos have long been requested (if you look in various Internet forums) - layering an acoustic piano with an electric or digital is not only common, but for many players I guess, is a requirement. The sad thing though that I found a bit hard to defend, is they raise the price "a bit" for each generation, and I believe the Piano 5 about 700 USD/Euros more expensive than the first Piano was... and the Piano 5 seem to be $/€ 3-400 higher than the price of a Piano 4... Not OK, if you ask me... But the bottom line - this time it's cerainly not a "few tiny additions". Disclaimer: I'm a Nord user since 2008 (Electro 3), but never had any endorsement deal. I also own pianos, synths and organs from all the other major (or not so major) companies

It seems weird to me that basically every other piano ever can layer instruments of the same type, but Nord feel the need to not include it for years, only to charge a huge premium for it. $700 extra for minor changes and additions that nearly every other board can do is just absurd to me!!

Exact reason why I’m getting a Nord. Yamaha Montage Piano’s are nice but there’s a richness that Nord pianos have. Always been a Roland fan and still am today but I guess you pull what you can from each developer. Great musician you are, sir.

I gotta admit Nord is reviving the appreciation for classic instrumental sounds. Very earthy but modern sounding.
