Definitely if one is talking about the one best scene in tv, in isolation and not an entire episode... that last scene from 4-1 is by far the tops. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.
Intro: so, this is Ice being reforged. The Stark ancestral sword was used to behead Ned and stayed in King’s Landing after his death. Tywin has always dreamt about owning a Valyrian sword, since the Lannister ancestral Valyrian blade Brightroar was lost in unknown circumstances almost 3 centuries ago. And know, he has 2.
Not entirely unknown circumstances. He went on an adventure to old Valyria, bringing along the sword, and vanished. A hubris very in line with the family at large.
@@1stCainiteI noticed while going over George's two published histories that Lannisters just up and disappear at an alarming rate lol. I'm sure it has some callback to Lann The Clever that I myself am not clever enough to correlate.
@@jessjess23brooks89 it is my guess, that his ”adventurous spirit” was handed down his line. Be that sailing to Valyria, and dying to grey scale. Or being murdered by angry husbands.
Mellisandre did say that she saw a darkness in Arya, and that she would shut many eyes forever. Looks like that journey has begun. The travels with Arya and the Hound are some of my favorite moments in the show... I love they way they play off each other.
100% agree with you: this is my favorite premiere of the show. Season 4 does not disappoint. In my view, it is the most consistently good season, from start to finish: stellar premiere and finale and a string of amazing episodes in between.
"Oh my God. That is the best start to a season yet"... Well, buckle up! This is peak GoT. It's almost unanimous by fans that this is the best season from top to bottom. Just a perfect narrative. It's probably the greatest single season in the history of television
Most episode titles can be applied twice throughout the episode. In this case, firstly you see ‘Ice’, Ned’s sword get melted down to forge 2 new swords but secondly, and most sentimentally, you say goodbye to ‘Ice’ and welcome back to ‘Needle’. Another great reaction 😍
Oooo ok!! This makes me happy to hear. I get a bit sad when people say the later seasons aren’t worth it because I’m committed to see it through till the end
⏯️ hearing you refer to Arya making the determination to become an assassin and get her own horse as "cute" - some people are probably going to give you some grief over that. But take it from Old woman. There will always be a place in this society for women to be called upon to be warriors in one way or another. That response tells me you're probably one of the first ones to step up in those situations. Game recognizes game. 🧡
Arya is my favorite character of the show. Mel predicted her darkness and it's no wonder. Her mother, Father, and Brother killed, and another brother crippled. She feels alone and vengeful and is slowly developing the need to strike back!
I absolutely adore this season!! Can’t wait to rewatch with you!! While my favorite singular episodes may be in later season, this is my favorite overall. Hellooooo Prince Oberyn 🤤
Brienne : I swear to you, I will avenge Renly
Margeary : Who ?
I can't believe that you cut the part out where "Someone is" going to die for those chickens.... !!!
? seriously ? that was a punchline....
Possibly the best season of any show in tv history
Fully agreed

@@erickknutz5599 Agreed. I think season 3 is superior thematically in it's entirety. But that one scene in this season... Damn is it phenomenal.
@LippsReacts you have no idea haha I expect a river of tears from you by the end of it

Yep. Valyrian steel swords are a very limited quantity. The way to make them has been lost with time.

Between Tywin and Oberyn, Lipps was getting a bit hot 'n' bothered in the first 5 minutes 🤣
HAHAHAHHA NOT WRONG!!!
You gonna die for some chickens?
The Hound: Someone is.

Truly agree. I’ve fully wrapped season 4 and each episode felt like the blink of an eye

and he got his chicken.
Tywin is the one of the greatest characters ever.
Arya's look at the end! She was a kid who just opened all her presents on Christmas morning, and received everything she wanted.
I love aryas storyline. It is so powerful and dark and twisted. Yet she keeps moving forward
The Adventures of Arya & The Hound is probably my favorite arc

24:00 Yes. The Stark women are scary. Don't forget that. ♥
Amazing season, but I consider Season 6 to be the best, can't wait for the next episode!

6 has lots of good stuff, but is nowhere near 3 & 4
margaery said if she let joffrey choose the necklace she'd end up with a string of dead sparrow heads around her neck 💀
She wasn’t Wrong ☠️
Pedro is playing a bad ass, but he does that well...like Joel and Din Djarin. Obryn is definitely one of the best characters in this show.
The more you watch, the more you slightly appreciate Tywin. After mastering this show, Tywin is one of my favorite characters.
Tywin is playing the gave on an entirely different level. I find it easy to appreciate his strategic mind even when he hurts my heart
Not Lipps and Daddy Tywin at the beginning 😅🔥👀
HAHAHHAHA look he may be evil and devious BUT HE KINDA… ya know
@@LippsReacts Girl, do I ever 😅🫠

AMEN!!!
Welcome to Peak G O.T

This is one of my favorite episodes. The final scene with Arya and the Hound is 🔥. Season 4 is a banger.
It’s truly a great season
You're correct. That necklace is a poison pill, so to speak.
Def my fave season from start to finish
Gods this season was strong then
It really was
Nice play on Robert's words, there. 🫡
Ned’s sword. Not Robb’s.
Yes, Charles Dance makes me all blushy too! ☺
Cats are much better than dragons. They're like pocket gods: smart, graceful, lovable, nothing like these ugly, scaly, smelly horrors.
Season 4 is my very favorite. Two of the storylines started this episode are why, but I will say no more.
I absolutely adore this season!! Can’t wait to rewatch with you!! While my favorite singular episodes may be in later season, this is my favorite overall. Hellooooo Prince Oberyn 🤤
Oberyn is amezing. I love him❤ is True, season 4 is the best, the next ….❤❤❤❤❤
Arya is from the North and the North remembers and she also has to cross out names from the list, because if not they accumulate, Valar Morghulis
Hi Lipps, I've been binging your GoT reactions for the last few days. Excited for future content!
Yay!!! Thank you for watching
Season 4... The Lannister Show begins!
PEDRO!!!
I LOVE HIM!!!!
