Thank you for reiterating how beautiful it still is when you add that third because it is easy to fill up with regret when you can't devote that same huge block of time and attention.
It’s easy to fall into a season of guilt when it comes to doing all the things with numbers 3 and 4 that we did with the firsts. It is different yet equally beautiful!❤️😊
I love how you emphasized doing what works in each season. That is so true! I loved hearing about your preschool years with your older two. :) We used some of the same resources.
I highly highly recommend MFW K. CLE K was so short it only took us about 3 months. She also didn’t retain anything from it. And then their learning for read program was like pulling teeth everyday.
Do you think mcguffy readers is too advanced for a child who knows alphabet, letters and letter sounds? We are ready to start blends and small words. He is young but loves learning. Cle is not really working because he cant write yet.
Have you seen the Stepping Stones preschool curriculum from Masterbooks? It is structured and so simple. I used that with my younger two because I also had two older kids and couldn't do what I had done with the older two. It was so fun and sweet. Edit: sounds like you already have a plan for your preschooler coming up. I look forward to seeing what you plan to do!
Trying to tell myself that it's okay that my 3 1/2 year old boy doesn't want to do any sort of lesson with me yet.. I would love to start. Hopefully when he's closer to 4 he will
If you’re interested in doing focused time with him then I’ll bet if you looked into a play based preschool plan he would be VERY into it! Homegrown Preschooler A Year of Playing Skillfully, Friends Art Lab, Let’s play school, How Wee Learn etc!

MFW K was amazing! I want to consider it again for our 2025-26 school year! ❤️
