Im so glad I found your channel! So many resources I had not considered! Those core knowledge books look amazing! We have used their “What your kindergarten needs to know”. Your website resources are great too! Thank you!
Great resources! Thank you for the tips on the free curriculum! The Magic Treehouse series sounds phenomenal, and i think I'll start that with my kids next school year! I'm looking for a Winnie the Pooh one for this year. they're obsessed!
I have prek/kindergarten/ 1st grade kids as well, so this was super helpful. Thank you! You mentioned some “really good” TPT resources you previously used for time and money. Do you have links for those? My son is really into time and money right now and we are in the hunt for those!
I'm so glad this was helpful! Here is the link to the time and money resource I used from teachers pay teachers: www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Time-and-Money-Bundle-for-Kindergarten-4403021
Love it! Is it possible that you would share The Magic Treehouse Guide you created. I also have the same book set and want my daughter to read them and I love how you created that.
That is awesome! Here is the link to my website. I have linked under resources the guide I created for the first four books. As I make more, I will update the website with more resources! theyorkhouse.weebly.com/#/
waldock way has a great unit study that follows the magic treehouse books too if you need more, it's super well put together. it's called "passports to adventures"
this is great but how can i print everything?? Its super expensive to print, i just checked it was $180 and it was only for 4 of the print out books.. Even compared to just buying the books those aare expensive too. Any suggestions?
Here is my website: theyorkhouse.weebly.com/#/ I'm uploading each of the workbooks as I make them. They're free under Homeschool Resources! Hope this helps! 😁
I know it seems ambitious, and I may find that it is way too much! 😂 As of right now, we are planning to try to do every subject each day except for the electives. For those, we will pull from three of them at a time. My idea for our schedule next year is that we would start the morning with breakfast during our family unit study. Then, we'll take a break for a while before we come back together to do our literature study. After another break, we'll do reading, writing, and math. When that's done, we go straight into lunch where we watch CCN10 and read from our Core Knowledge Domains. Later in the afternoon, we'll have science, history, and electives. I release monthly updates, so I'll be sure to let everyone know if the schedule is working or not.
I am hoping to keep a similar schedule to what we have now, but we are adding several new things so I may have to adjust this as time goes on. Tentatively the idea is that we would start the morning with breakfast during our family unit study. Then, we'll take a break for a while before we come back together to do our literature study. We'll take another short break before we come back together for reading, writing, and math. When we finish those we go straight into lunch where we watch CCN10 and read from our Core Knowledge Domains. We'll take one last break before we come back together for science, history, and electives. We should be done with everything by 3:00. This is what I am hoping for, we'll just have to see how it actually shakes out once we get into it.
Right now, I plan to rotate the three supplementary writing workbooks each day. I used to rotate the electives, but now I plan to use three each day until a book is complete before switching to the next. Otherwise I'm hoping to touch on everything else each day. I'll know once we get started if that will work or not. 😂
