Sweet Solo Cover! My tiny fingers could never execute the 8 finger tapping lick. I just sold the same RG reissue in laser blue. Perfect condition in storage for 10 years, met the buyer and opened the case and instant depression, there were 2 large neck pocket cracks. Had to drop $500 from the price to get it sold!

i would like to see this, too, especially for how to play Watson's solo...I know how to play the hammer ons and pull offs, but the one thing i can't figure out is how to active each string. Is it just hammer ons and pull offs or is there a pluck to activate each string with the left index finger for example? It looks like just straight hammer ons, but I hear the open string so I wonder how each string is activated to hit the root note on each string - D, G, and then B

How did you learn the two-handed sweeping part I've got it on video and I got a little better idea of it you're doing this something with your right hand and grabs the strings up but I'm a little confused after that. That two-handed part is very confusing haha

Wow. I never noticed that the right hand fingers walk up on the D and G strings - middle, ring, pinky, ring...man, Jeff Watson was a friggin genius so thank you for showing this. I can clearly see part of this solo that I was missing! Plus, your tone and technique is so nice and clean, it's easy to hear ALL the notes! I can watch this for hours!
Mr Dempsey do you think you can explain to me how to do this song I see you may have a what you call a way to do it I'm wondering if there's anybody I can explain to me how to do it I'm guessing go slow and ride it down what to do
@@markashlock3752 I would just watch this video and others that you can find. Really to get this close to correct is just a matter of feel. There are other videos on You Tube that might be more step by step. Joel Hoekstra used to have a video showing the Watson solo, but I haven't been able to find that one in a while. I don't remember where I saw it years ago when he was in NR. He and Gillis were giving a clinic on the solos for this and DTMYLM. Sorry I can't be of more help. But, really Blaze here does a great job and you can see the fret fingering and picking very clearly. Remember the Gillis solo just goes back and forth between B and A. The Watson solo is D, G, A, B, A, B twice
