One of the great things about selling books is that selling internationally you don't have to worry about stuff being not allowed in certain countries so much and you have to worry about whether the item will work in other countries like with movies, videogames and electronics, or getting returns because of it,
Mel. Treat yourself to a really good coffee maker. One you set the timer the night before with fresh coffee beans and water. You get up to a fragrant fresh cup of coffee 💕. You can have all the goodies to add to it at home to make it special. 🤗
There are really good used machines in the op shop. It would be fun to see her go to the shop pick one out and see her try it out knowing it could work or be a dud.

I love watching you! I'm an everything seller (Aus). Fellow ADHDer here I think that's what I love about reselling, it's constantly changing and finding new things to sell so keeps me enthralled! the meds are life changing! Didn't fix everything of course but helps me to keep motivated and has helped my mood significantly. I love watching your packing videos because I also love selling books so seeing what sells is so helpful! You're an awesome lady Mel! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

From my time living in Europe and visiting friends in England, I'm not so sure they even have a "Summer"! LOL
We don't. Especially in the north. If we get a summer it's usually for an hour one day 😂😜😜
@@TheBagMakersSewCiety I grew up iin the state of Michigan, in the northern part of the US and we used to say (when asked about our winters) that Michigan has only 2 seasons: Winter and Road Repair! It always seemed that in the few milder months of what others might call summer, all we saw out on our highways were road repair crews fixing the frost heave damage to the roadways.
@@brianhenry2385 😂 weather is such a funny thing. We can have all 4 seasons in one day here in fact in an afternoon lol it keeps life interesting though 😃
Yes it does. About Michigan we say if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes. Now I I live in the Pacific Northwest (Washington state) so it's milder, even though we're just as far north. They say the ocean and all the inland water around us moderates the climate here. 😉

Once I need to get some stickers off some items and it was cold so I already had a heater going. It worked really well.
Agree with everything seller to start until you find your niche. I still sell a bit of everything but hate clothes and shoes. I mainly do TCG cards now super easy to source, list, store and ship!

Mel - get roo whistles from Supercheap Autos - they work!! They’re cheap but effective - (do you have Supercheap Autos in Canberra?) We do a lot of country driving in the north of WA and they work to repel the kangaroos!!! Also - do a US Series - it’s never too late, love to see the footage !! (And the Japan video, that’d be awesome too!) 🙌🏾👏🏽👍🏽🥰

Hi Mel! Talking about hiring people, yes...I agree...its a trade off just like everything. Time for a pro con sheet? One line down the middle and write down pros / cons? And then full-time part time? I could imagine one person coming in to do your photos once a week for a whole day...then you can do the listings from home for a few days maybe? At least, thats an idea I had when listening to you. As long as the person is dependable and the technology is too...Then maybe someone to come in afternoons or mornings to do packing / shipping every other day? Maybe the same person? You call it a ball and chain but if you hire just the right person and spend a good amount of time training (including instruction sheets), then it could be a lot of freedom. Good luck!

Heat guns, especially commercial units are much better then hair dryers... I have a couple heat guns (one in each building) and leave my wife's blow dryer in the bathroom. 😉
My niece hit a kangaroo once driving on a country road at night and her car was so badly damaged it was written off! Thank goodness she was ok and I don't remember what happened to the kangaroo. But they can do a lot of damage so good thing you were able to avoid it! And yes, please do post more US videos!

Mel, you should try Zippo lighter fluid to remove labels on rare books. I've used it to remove stickers from album covers for years. It dissolves the glue and the spot from the fluid evaporates and disappears after about 10 minutes.

Worried about the meds too. Do you really need them?
A Km is .62 of a mile, so for general estimating I always just use the fraction 2/3 (.66) because it’s much simpler to do in your head and close enough for most things. So, 10 miles would be about 15 km (when it’s really 16.09) or the other way it would mean a 5k fun run would be about 3 miles (when the conversion calculator results are really 3.1). But in general terms, 2/3s is easy and close enough. 😉

Hay mel loved thom s pod cast he did. About the in s and out s of his cd an records sale stuff. 😊👍👍 Loved it .took me back to when i did a bussness cource and. How my brain think s like thom. playing it smart i just dont. Have a shop or where house an just all way s worked from home no web sight but finaly got a sight that can do every thing. For me an i just send them the digital design s once grafic guy. In usa send them back to me once payed him. I do all the design but free hand drawn old school way.😊. or in stencel s art. Then he do them digital. Im hopless on computer program s stuff . I wish thom best of luck. It seem s he on the next level. With few guy s helping him plus now his cd buffer s cleaners thing.😊

Hi Mel, I look forward to watching this tonight :) You may have talked about this in the video, but has everyone noticed the new interface on ebay (Australia)? The search pages no longer show the seller's name and also don't show if you have a sale/promotion running. So if a buyer is looking for a particular seller they won't find it by scrolling down the search pages as now all it states is your feedback % and number of feedback. And if you have a sale/promotion running, anyone scrolling the search pages won't know about it unless they click on your listing! Not good for sellers or buyers :( Some browsers still show the old interface but will update soon. If everyone contacts ebay hopefully they will change it back!

Up load every day i all way just record. When it. Happen s. But guy at my job agent seed try up load every day. But i all way s just dun my. Lego as a fun thing. And. Really. Smh…. Of course there’s nothing “wrong” with her. Would you tell a diabetic to not take insulin? Of course you wouldn’t. ADHD affects everyone diagnosed with it differently and while many of us feel we don’t “need” medication the fact is we don’t know if we haven’t had experience taking the medication. No one has the right to tell anyone else what to do when it comes to their health. My motivation, energy, emotions, sleep, appetite and the list goes on is so much better when I’m on my meds. I waited a year before starting them due to getting comments such as yours. Sharing a personal experience with medication or diagnoses is one thing, but direct comments telling someone not to take a medication or pushing them to take a medication can do more harm that you’ll ever realize.
@@ohioreseller6959 there's no equivalence with diabetes and the condition labeled 'ADHD'. Sure everyone feels better on speed, then they're addicted.
