I’ve watched you from the beginning, all the kids at home & you doing the school run & having your morning coffee while us lot in the UK got to know what a dedicated, kind woman you are, what a hardworking, living life woman you are. Looking back on those first videos you must be so proud of what you have achieved, from selling clothes from home, three or four moves ago, to having a thriving business based out of a warehouse. From zero to near on 25k subscribers. Wow. Congratulations Mel, so well deserved. 💕
Thank you beautiful Joan. You’ve been an amazing supporter to me and I’m so grateful for you and everyone else that has watched my videos and grown with me. Thank you xxx
Thank God for the guys. Not only did they do the heavy work, but they were so calm keeping you as stress free as possible. You could not have done it on your own. I'm very proud of you and what you have accomplished so far. But the best is yet to come. Congratulations, Mel. And thanks for letting us feel part of your journey. I say this as I sit on my couch watching you work so hard. Lol
Yay, you are on your way now! And you have the space to take better care of your body. Here’s what I’m picturing - a laptop on a cart to pick your orders in ONE big long pass down the aisles. No more walking back and forth to your packing table with separate orders! Maybe change the way you alphabetize the stacks so as you go down the aisle, you pick A from the left, B from the right, C from the left, etc, so there’s no backtracking. I wish I could be there to help you!
Hi Mel! I just wanted to say that I am super impressed and proud of your ability to overcome a lot of adversity. We are all here supporting you and your family in any we way we can. Congrats on your new space!
Oh wow was just watching this and my son did the exact same thing yesterday 🙄😃, he was at work.. he's a carpenter and was climbing over something and cut his leg near the shin as well, he's also had 7 stitches! But is back at work today! Hope his heals ok!
Wow Mel, it’s going to be awesome. And what a great Landlord. Taking time from running his business to helping you move your stock and shelves in. The Fork lift and pallet Jack certainly make the job a little easier.
I'd be real tempted to build a nice freestanding loft towards the back of the unit. Store all the bulky light stuff like boxes and packing material up there. Maybe even add a daybed and a TV for breaks.
Be very careful on what you place around the opening to your storage unit. The rain can blow sideways etc.. perhaps pitch a small tent over your computer area just to be safe from blowing and rainy stormy days…💫🌴🌧️☔️🌈🌦️
I laughed out loud when I saw the first shelf being put in. It was so tiny compared to the shed. You have SO MUCH SPACE now!! I’m really excited to see how your business flourishes this year 💜
Congratulations Mel! It looks like you found a wonderful place for your official business. No more stay-at-home-mom! Plus, I love that there are other eBay resellers there. I bet they will help you keep your motivation going.
The pros and cons of a daily business-and life. So happy that you have grown your business so well. Thanks for bringing us all along to learn and cheer. Thousands of good wishes
Thanks so much! 😊 Another reseller has also just moved up from me a couple of warehouses so we are building a little community. It’s nice to have some local friends
I am so late to the party, but wouldn't want to miss this huge milestone in your business and life!! Well done Mel!! You got this...it's your videos that got me venturing into selling books and I love the hunt. Keep on going on...you are an inspiration to many.
GREAT HELPERS!!! But you are the one who packed ALL THOSE BOXES YOURSELF!! YAY YOU!!! You need to bring cases of water and a refrigerator so you have cold things to drink while you are there. Nice Storage Area. Best Wishes with your new shed!!!
I was so sad to see you leaving your wee shed, it seems the perfect place.. but then I saw your new mega shed!! Imagine the possibilities !! Things will be so much easier now you have space to be super organised, This is going to be brilliant. I would be getting a fancy little couch for in there. Happy for you..moving on and up
Wow, now that was some work. Your landlord/ friend and his employee did a tremendous job helping you out. May I say you've got ALOT of books lol. Good on you..
That space looks almost ideal in size for a one person business. It's big enough to allow for some growth but still small enough to be managed single handed. Having a workspace away from home, in my experience, really helps with both motivation--it feels more 'real'--and in mentally switching off at the end of the working day. The downside is, of course, cost, but the benefits in increased efficiency and capacity should make the cost well worthwhile. One small drop of practical advice; as you are planning to put your computer workstation to the right of the main roller doors I'd strongly suggest you include a screening panel running out at least 1.5m at right angles to the door to block the inevitable draughts! Even in the most balmy environment a constant draught blowing around your ankles can get a bit unpleasant (or is that just me?). Nothing fancy, just a nice big sheet of mdf, the upper section of which you could use to mount a notice or white board. If you were more ambitious, you could replace the top section with a sheet of Perspex so you can see out from your desk when the door is open!
It’s a great idea and it does get windy here. I’ll definitely have a heated blanket handy for the cold breezes and I’ll look at some kind of panelling also
Looks like you're going to need some extra lighting. Once you get all those shelves loaded up, you're going to have some pretty dark spaces in those aisles.
Maybe. So far the lighting seems enough but we will see once I fill it with more shelves and books. I’m sure the boys can add another light up there if we need to.
Mel it’s looking great. I can’t compare moving all those books but I did move house 8 month’s pregnant. It’s hard to let go and let the removalists do it all. They got me a chair and made me sit in the driveway and direct. Hope your leg heals fast x
What a great space! My husband said you're going to feel like a queen! Just a note for all us resellers we have to stop calling it death pile! That puts such a negative spin on it that our minds avoid it. So by correcting yourself and saying unlisted inventory like you did that's a much better more positive spin on it and your mind will accept that and work with it better. Does that make even any sense? Always refer to it as unlisted inventory. That way we'll dig into it! Love you Mel keep at it keep on it but above all keep out of it!
Yes I’ve been trying to stop calling it death pile. Sometimes it’s hard to break the habit but I’m working on it and I agree it’s a negative word. It needs to be known as a working inventory pile. And as long as your working through it then it’s good to have some excess - just not more then one can handle.
This looks amazing! You must have an incredible sense of achievement. It’s hard for me to imagine getting here from currently selling 2-3 items a week from my spare room but you’re testament to the fact it can be done. Thanks for sharing.
I don't think I've ever seen you move so little in one of your videos. That must have been a nice momentary respite from what you've been doing. Too bad it cost you seven stitches!
Hi Mel, I've been watching your channel for about a year now, and you never cease to amaze me what you can get done. I get tired just watching you. LOL But you are such an inspiration for me to keep moving forward! Girl power!!! LOL I work full time from home and have my little 600+ item eBay store side gig. But when I retire in about 5 years or so, I will move it to full time and really look forward to growing it between now and then. You definitely give me hope and inspiration!! Thank you and best of luck in your new place! I know you will do great!! : )
Mel, watching you is always a mood lifter, your adorable contagious personality, your energy, your never-ending drive to succeed, all of the qualities many people strive for and then to top it all off, you look absolutely gorgeous, moving all of those books around is keeping you in such great shape, LOL - Wishing you nothing but continued success in your new workspace Mel :) XO Christine
You are doing phenomenal one day at a time. Your hard work has paid off! When you go home please put your leg up. It's so exciting... So proud of all you've done and how far you've come! GO MEL! 🎉🎉🎉 CONGRATULATIONS... BLESSINGS AND PRAYERS FOR CONTINUED SUCCESS, HEALTH, WEALTH AND HAPPINESS 🤗😊👍
Sorry to see you hurt your leg, Mel. I was so happy to see how your new friends really stepped up to help you. You could see how they really wanted to make it easier on you. So, so sweet.
Oh Mel how so very exciting!! I remember the first video I watched of you years ago was how to clean and list shoes! And now look at you! Woo hoo! Girl power!! 💪
Crazy. I would still sell shoes if I wanted to go back to that niche. I enjoyed selling shoes and I often still find myself browsing the shoe section in a charity store.
What a blessing to have such kind friends to walk beside you when you are going through a difficult time. I pray the Lord blesses them for their kindness. Wishing you great success in your new place of business.
When I feel lazy I'm watching your TH-cam channel. For me is like motivational channel with a positive, isnpiring person. Starting a working day with you is like a cup of morning coffee (i guess, because i don't drink) :D I really love that you are truly yourself here. Good job! Greetings from Poland :)
This warehouse is going to be so good Mel...imagine what you can do. Gosh, I just feel so proud of you..and I've never even met you haha. All the very best moving forward...I'm loving these videos..so inspiring 🧡
I’ve been quiet because I haven’t listed much in the last month. I need to give it a big boost. March is a busy month for me but in April I’ll be going hard again at increasing the store.
HI Mel Congratulations on the move. Hopefully a fast recovery for your leg. I was recently in Canberra for a few days and did see kangaroos all over the house lawns. It was beautiful.
Oh Mel, what an undertaking of a job. But oh your new space is amazing! My heart felt your pain while you did your last video taping while at the shed but as one door closes the Lord opens the other. The blessings poured with the wonderful help from the movers, the landlord and his staff. That was awesome! A big thank you to them. Please take care of that leg! Look forward to your new journey Mel. Wishing you the best! Blessings!
Thank you. Yes he’s been very good helping me. As they say, surround yourself with good friends and people who work hard. It’s motivating for me having a friend next door with such a huge eBay operation.
I'm so jealous of that warehouse! I would love to have that much room. I keep thinking that I should rearrange my upstairs to use strictly for my business while using the downstairs strictly for my home. You are giving me hope! I am so excited for you in this! I'll be more excited in 6 months when all is unpacked, you're used to the place and you know where everything is! You are being cheered on from Alabama! Much love from the dog and me!
Looks amazing Mel! You’re going to fill that space with some awesome stock and you’ll be a 6 figure reseller in no time! 😊😊😊 I feel like I could fill that space currently with all my death pile 😂😅
Thank you Steve. I will work on filling it and bringing in all that money ❤ P.S I’m already a 6 figure seller. Maybe we can make it 7, that would be nice 😂
Wow what a great space, and you got there! Onwards and upwards to the next level of your success, well done you! It looks a bit daunting but you've got this. Here are some thoughts that use this move to help from a process perspective and based around taking advantage of the move to reduce your death pile. It is the nature of your business that bulk purchases are made but these are bulk in reality and challenging to process. So as not to just add to the death pile, here are some random ideas that may help. Number 1 (no brainer) priority is to set up your work spaces (sorting, research, photography. listing packing etc). These do not have to be final locations but just where you can use and think about longer term best fit in the new space. Next priority is set all listed boxes in their shelf locations without unpacking. Then move to the death pile and start to sort, list and add to stock. In parallel, as and when orders come in unpack only the box the order is in, pick the order and place rest of box on shelf. Return to processing the death pile. Repeat when next orders come in etc. Whilst working on death pile continue to think about best process and layout to cater for large bulk new stock location to make bulk new stock processing to be most efficient and not adding to the large death pile. IMO this approach coupled with your experienced ideas will turn death pile dread into "new stock" processing as a mindset. Hope above triggers your experienced based ideas and helps to improve efficiency. Good luck in the new location and look forward to watching you and your business grow moving forward. Finally bear in mind "current processes" have a finite life as regard to efficiency and will need change as your needs and business needs grow,. Keep it coming!
Love this. Now I’m in the new space I’m going to reevaluate all my systems as some may need to change. I’ll be increasing my listings again and working through my inventory waiting to list. I have a great backlog now which allows me to only source for better quality stock also
God bless them!! Mel I am so proud of you and you are truly going to be so blessed in this new chapter of your life :) So excited to watch along and see where your new journey takes you!
You have awesome men around you helping. You'll be fine! You are a very impressive, strong lady, and I learn so much from you, both about Ebay and about spirit. You meet life full on with great strength!
The first thing I'm thinking of is...Do you have air conditioning in there? I don't see anything that looks like heating or air conditioning...I hope so!! :) Otherwise, a great space!! And what a couple of cool dudes helping you out :) I love seeing the men helping you out, you deserve it!! :)
No heating or aircon. I will have a little fan and a heater near me while I work and I can rug up in the winter. I’m used to working without fans and heaters anyway :) I have wonderful people surrounding me x
Nice big space! If you haven't you might want to look into rolling stack shelving (assuming you think you're going to want to grow). They're much more space efficient and you wouldn't need to worry about stuff in front of your shelves.
Wow, you work so hard and it looks so impressive. I have faith that everything will work out brilliantly. Sending lots of love from a freezing Manchester UK
Congratulations, Mel. I wish you continued success. One comment to consider... Are you sure you want your "office / computer area" that close to the metal doors in front? If not already considered, think about extreme temps in the depths of summer or winter, drafts, etc. Unless, you have to be there for power or internet signal connectivity. My 2-cents. Again, congrats 👏 🥳
You found an amazing warehouse and it looks a lot bigger than the shed. I'm sure you will have it filled before long though. How is the leg doing? Loved it when Tom stopped you from lifting the box of books. Lol
It’s a great size and with the added height it gives me lots of room for expansion. Yes he was very nice not wanting me to lift the boxes around with my leg :)
Its guna be the equivalent of a library in there. Good luck !!! I wish you the best. Please do a weekly what books sold video - for what price as I find it so interesting even though I mostly DONT sell books and I have only 250-300 listings so Im a small fry…… So how many listings do you have ??? That looks like a lot of boxes and a LOT OF BOOKS. BLESS ❤
I'm so happy and proud of you. What a huge job with an owie to boot. I wish you good health and healing so you can get back to what you do, lots of books. I'm very excited for future videos through this process. Lee Ann from Idaho
OMG what a job but handled so beautifully by all involved. Being able to unload onto pallets was brilliant and saved a lot of blood sweat and tears. Almost a tonne of books - wow!! As everything was unloaded, I began to wonder if it would all fit into the warehouse! All the fellas were terrific and you, as always, bloody amazing! I'm so glad you have support nearby especially for the times you need a hand but also to have a bit of a yarn/rant about ebay. I hope there's a post office nearby. Since I've been running your videos overnight, I've had the opportunity to catch some of your early work which has been fun. This morning, I woke up to your very first You Tube clip ♥ From memory, the very first time I watched your channel you were doing a live show which I found amazing as it was the first "live" I'd seen. Since then, I've tried to catch all of your live shows with one or other of my accounts. So much great information and always entertaining. Like many others in the comments below, I have a very good feeling about this move. So you'd better keep eating clean and have your weetbix for breakfast LOL because dynamo that you already are, you'll need the extra energy. Looking forward to a tour of your new HQ. Best wishes and big cheers as always, Simone 🐈⬛ PS: Reckon you've earned a coffee or two 😉
Thank you for this lovely comment! One of the following pallets was actually 1100kg!!! I can’t imagine what the actual total was and no wonder I’ve been so tired after all the packing and unpacking and moving boxes around. I’ve given my biceps a workout! Thank you for playing my videos. The old ones must be so embarrassing and terrible LOL it’s great to have some reselling friends close by if I need help, a rant or even to go source with. I’m lucky to have such a great circle around me. Thank you so much for the coffees Simone. You’re the best and I appreciate your support so much. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Awesomeness pleasing in disguise the universe has funny ways of working sometimes it's not untill you look back and you realise it's all planned out for you well done girlfriend Dotti x 🤗✔👌
Hello, that is a great space. I wish my wood working shop was that big. I am glad that you had some help getting all those books moved in there. An old saying we have is " the sky is the limit". You have a great work ethic, sounds like you will have help when it's needed, nothing can hold you back now. So good to see you smiling and laughing. Lots of hard work and good times ahead.
As a person who operates a warehouse. Tall Pallet racking to stick your death pile onto till you figure stuff out might be worth your while. Or just stuff you don't need straight away. Using the height is always advantageous to clear space especially if you have access to to the forky. Or get a platform ladder with wheels. Good luck

Crazy. I would still sell shoes if I wanted to go back to that niche. I enjoyed selling shoes and I often still find myself browsing the shoe section in a charity store.
So Happy for you and I wish you the best. It's looking AMAZING!
Thank you so much!!
What a blessing to have such kind friends to walk beside you when you are going through a difficult time. I pray the Lord blesses them for their kindness. Wishing you great success in your new place of business.
Thank you so much! I am very lucky to be surrounded by wonderful people x
Wishing you the very best of Good Luck and many Blessings in your new location, Mel. You’ve got this❣️
Thank you so much!!
Congratulations to you Mel. Thank you so much for sharing this journey. 🎉❤
Thank you so much!
Wow, thank you. If I can help motivate people that makes me so happy
This warehouse is going to be so good Mel...imagine what you can do. Gosh, I just feel so proud of you..and I've never even met you haha. All the very best moving forward...I'm loving these videos..so inspiring 🧡
Thank you so much Gaye. I appreciate all the support you’ve always given me xx
Good luck Mel. Now we have a new TH-cam superstar Thom...
Ha ha. He might get a taste for it lol
What a woman! Good luck with the new adventure !
Thank you for watching
That space is brilliant ms Mel. You will easily jump up to 15k listings in no time at all. Hope those stitches come out on Friday as planned
I hope so too! Thank you!
@@backfromburnout 🤜🤛
So I’m sure the store was on time away while moving , When you reopened did you see a burst of sales??
I’ve been quiet because I haven’t listed much in the last month. I need to give it a big boost. March is a busy month for me but in April I’ll be going hard again at increasing the store.
Love Tom's deadpan sense of humour!
After two years of knowing him I’m still trying to understand it 🤣🤣🤣
@@backfromburnout It's like "Should I laugh, or start running as fast as I can?"
What a great space to work from and fab people too
I love working in it. I think it’s perfect for me. And I have wonderful support around me.
That's awesome they could fork them off the truck and put them directly in the warehouse. Lucky lucky.
Well done, mate.
I know, right? I never knew I needed forklifts and pallet jacks in my life before now!
HI Mel Congratulations on the move. Hopefully a fast recovery for your leg. I was recently in Canberra for a few days and did see kangaroos all over the house lawns. It was beautiful.
Oh you should have messaged me for a coffee!
What a blessing to have all that help!
I have great friends supporting me
Wise man…great you had him
Thank you
What a wonderful effort, such amazing helpers also. So pleased your all in. So excited for you Mel, a new beginning.
Thanks so much 😊
Oh Mel, what an undertaking of a job. Blessings!
Thank you so much! I have good people surrounding me ❤️
Excuse the pun but onto the next chapter…..really really looking forward to the videos from the new warehouse. All the best
Thank you!!
Oh my goodness, I feel your pain. I just moved into a two-story Tuff Shed. My next move will be a warehouse.
HUGE high 5 to you, your new landlord is a top bloke, best of luck!
Thank you so much!
warehouse looks great so many books to sort
I wouldn't want to move my whole store you've done well
It’s a massive job and since I plan to double the store here I sure hope I don’t have to move again for a very long time!
Looks amazing Mel! You’re going to fill that space with some awesome stock and you’ll be a 6 figure reseller in no time! 😊😊😊 I feel like I could fill that space currently with all my death pile 😂😅
Thank you Steve. I will work on filling it and bringing in all that money ❤
P.S I’m already a 6 figure seller. Maybe we can make it 7, that would be nice 😂
@@backfromburnout 😂😂 I thought you might be after I’d written that message! 👏🏻 I’m blaming the conversion rate for my confusion! 🤣
I’ve got you chasing my tail now so I need to stay on my toes! ❤
nice , congrats . i suggest you get higher shelves to maximize the use of the space and also a rolling ladder .
Yes, I do need to look at the shelves for making use of the higher space. It's on the to do list!
Sending lots of love from Florida! ❤
Thank you!! ❤❤
Its a FORK LIFT ! for lifting forks - an incredible journey, Back from Burnout Chapter 2 starts
Ha ha. I just had a mind block on what it was called lol.
Well done Mel! Super proud on how far you come, congratulations on the new location, on ya lads for the help 🤙
Thank you 🙌
Wow what a great space, and you got there!
I have a great backlog now which allows me to only source for better quality stock also
It’s so nice to see progression in your life and business, you are never alone! Good job darling.
Thank you so much!!
God bless them!! Mel I am so proud of you and you are truly going to be so blessed in this new chapter of your life :) So excited to watch along and see where your new journey takes you!
Thank you so much!!
You have awesome men around you helping. You'll be fine!
You are a very impressive, strong lady, and I learn so much from you, both about Ebay and about spirit. You meet life full on with great strength!
Thank you so much!
This is so amazing about the things u need to do to carry on. I’m calling CNN. Go girl!💕
Thank you so much
Thats a great space, and some supportive co-workers!
Thank you. I have good friends :)
And..holy crap Mel, you're WAY stronger than I am, I can't pick up a shelving unit like that!
They are not too heavy without the wooden boards in them x
How them books fitted in that lorry Mel 😮great bunch of blokes as well 👍love the warehouse well done Mel 👏👏👏
They only just fit! Yes,/ great group of guys who helped me immensely. I’m very grateful.
Looks like a blessing in disguise!!!! Congratulations on your new adventure ✨️
Yes! Thank you! I am feeling very happy
Wonderful to see your store moved over, so excited to see it all setup and operating.
Thank you!
Nice big space! If you haven't you might want to look into rolling stack shelving (assuming you think you're going to want to grow). They're much more space efficient and you wouldn't need to worry about stuff in front of your shelves.
Yes I’ll definitely be looking at different shelving units in the future
Good for you girl . That’s a great amount of space … very happy for you
It really is the perfect size for me. Thank you so much
I love the dramatic music while the truck was being loaded!
The space looks great, best of luck to you!
Thanks so much!
@@backfromburnout Your really making moves! Especially with the help of that “Pallet Truck” 💀
@@TaylorExchange ha ha. I’m not sure I’ll ever live that down with Thom 😂
@@backfromburnout 😂😂😂 I’m sure your not the only person to call it that. Thom seems like a really cool guy!
Wow, you work so hard and it looks so impressive. I have faith that everything will work out brilliantly. Sending lots of love from a freezing Manchester UK
Thanks so much!
Stay warm!
Looks great Mel! Everyone needs a Thom!!! x
Thank you! Good friends are hard to find!
I’ll test it for a while and I can move it around if need be. It’s the best location for it so if it works out it will be for the best I think.
Moving forward.....thats awesome Mel.
Thank you. The only way is up!
Its guna be the equivalent of a library in there. Good luck !!! I wish you the best. Please do a weekly what books sold video - for what price as I find it so interesting even though I mostly DONT sell books and I have only 250-300 listings so Im a small fry……
So how many listings do you have ??? That looks like a lot of boxes and a LOT OF BOOKS.
BLESS ❤
Great suggestion I’ll try and do that!
I'm so happy and proud of you. What a huge job with an owie to boot. I wish you good health and healing so you can get back to what you do, lots of books. I'm very excited for future videos through this process. Lee Ann from Idaho
Thank you!
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic Mel you're a Legend! Congrats on your new space
Thanks so much!
Awesomeness pleasing in disguise the universe has funny ways of working sometimes it's not untill you look back and you realise it's all planned out for you well done girlfriend Dotti x 🤗✔👌
Thank you so much
Hello, that is a great space.
I hope so too! Thank you for the support and watching!
Good luck
Hoorah for the new place! Also- would love to see how Tom sets up his huge eBay business! Would he like to make another cameo!
I’m hoping he lets me do an interview with him showing off his multiple warehouses. It’s a huge operation!
