I think it’s because the fact that Banjo first debuted in Diddy Kong Racing in 1997 and Kazooie wasn’t around until 1998 when their first game was released, many fans care about Banjo more than Kazooie. (Don’t worry though, I do care not only Banjo, but Kazooie as well.)

Back in middle school I was learning the viola when me and a buddy of mine who played string instruments as a hobby had the idea to recreate this. I have no idea how, but we managed to find people at school for the other instruments and it was beautiful. Mark, David, Tyler, Bryce, if y'all see this I just want you to know that the memory will be with me forever. Miss y'all.
