The best way to mobilise you fat stores (lose weight), is to stop eating. I lost 45 lbs in 6 months by eating ONE fabulous meal per day. What makes this work is to avoid carbohydrates which cause insulin which makes you store fat and get hungry. Insulin is the key to weight loss because when you have it under control, you control metabolic hunger.
The extremely complex world of nutrition and physiology need to be reduced to a few common sense concepts for everyone to grasp, and I think Dr. Chanahan does a great job at exactly this! Nothing is proven yet, but the strongest hypothesis goes like this: the more we modernize the food supply, the more we use seed oils (which are convenient and cheap), the more we wreck our metabolisms. It's an excellent rule of thumb to keep the less processed fat in your diet (olive oil, coconut oil, butter) while keeping the chemically extracted ones at bay (canola, sunflower, etc.).
