    If anyone is wondering where to still get these, or something like these, a company called Black Widow Training Gear can make something similar to them. Also there is a company called Lancaster Premium Power Coating that has taken over making these ones from the original manufacturer. A quick Google search should bring either up.
    Happy lifting!

    Sad to see XII:XI close doors because the products he was working on were solid. These have been great for me for the past few months. I was debating selling the rack for a combo rack as I am 6'6" 400ish lbs and my grip width lands RIGHT where the uprights are. Since I got these it has been much easier going to get into position.

    I saw these and they looked interesting. I wish somebody made a set of rack mounted suspension straps. My hands run into the jcups AND the safeties with that narrowness of the rep rack (contemplating running strap safeties by the wife). Great video man!

  • @johnbranson7253
    @johnbranson7253 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another well-done review. I wanted something like this due to bad shoulders that prevent me from being comfortable on back squats with a straight bar. But I'm cheap & I have a Rogue rack, so I bought 2 of the short 3 X 3 strips & mounted them to the rack with extra band pegs. Put extra J-cups on those, and there you go, an offset mount for the bar. Between that and the extra-long Texas squat bar, I can do back squats all I want, whereas before I had to do them with a safety squat bar. I already had the band pegs and the J-cups, so all it cost me was the price of the strips. It's easy to mount & dismount so if I ever need the pegs or J-cups for something else, they pop right out.

    Always quality videos. Ty Brandon. Quick question. I may be mixing you up, but didn’t you once say you don’t really use the jammer arms? If so or if not, are those an upgraded version of the original Rogue? Mine are about a year and a half old and don’t have those holes in the black portion which appear to enable you to set the arms in many different positions. Ty.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're right, I don't. Vendetta Strength has asked me to test these out for the Rogue V1 arms, so I've been helping them with measurements and fit. Even though they increase the usability, I still don't find a strong desire to use the arms in general.

    Unless you’re a powerlifter or compete in something that specifically requires it, long term, in my opinion, the bang isn’t worth the buck of using a straight bar for squats for anybody, but even more so for someone that feels they need to do wide grip. I’d advise anyone not in the above category to put the money towards a good SSB or Duffalo type bar, which negates the need for a wide grip.
    Did you experience any jamming of fingers between the rack whilst re-racking? Looks quite tight.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dan, no issues as they're off set and extended out. As far as the bars go, TBH I think most people would be better off using the straight bar they own unless some sort of severe issue prevents them from doing so.

    • @danredmond5589
      @danredmond5589 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BasementBrandon thanks! They look really well made.
      I just don’t know why anyone would use a straight bar to squat save for specificity or not having the money for an SSB. It’s been responsible for more wrist, elbow and shoulder aggravation to me over the years than benching and OHP combined…

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they’re good and potentially may add more weight, but I don’t think it’s a significant amount enough to warrant many people buying them if they already have sleeves they’re happy with. I’m only using them as peaking/testing sleeves and otherwise will use the stoics as my day to day ones.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These not only do offset from the post, but also pushes out 2" or so. Otherwise you'll hit your hands on the uprights.

    • @portastsic
      @portastsic 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BasementBrandon that is definitely a negative of the lever arms for sure, as well as, needing to fasten them down. However, if one needs to grab rather wide, you will avoid the uprights, and it’s a nice affordable way to get it done. Additionally, it helps feel like I’m actually getting my moneys worth out of rarely used lever arms!
