Over the years, I've watched quite a few R66 road trip videos - this has proven to be the best. I was born on a council estate in London and moved to Oklahoma at 5 with a step father in the US Army. The family suffered some tragedy and I was raised in a children's home in OKC for 12 years. My only childhood memory from London is riding in a sidecar (age 4) with an Uncle. That's why I ride today and why I watch TH-cam videos such as yours - to get a glimpse of life "back home." Thank you for these brief glimpses! Great episode... appreciate the genuine, quality content and professional editing, and all for a worthy cause. Such a thoroughly enjoyable series. Looking forward to the finale in California. Thanks for posting!
And again .... another great episode! I loved the result of producing the Garda ID card. My Northumbria warrant card got me out of a couple of situations years ago....... but that's another story from a previous life. I'm wishing this trip wouldn't end. 👍👍👍👍👍
Another fine episode with things I wouldn't have expected! Interesting to hear your comment about service standards, I've heard similar comments from other people who have visited the US, with Covid implicated as one potential cause. That said on a tour of parts of Europe this summer we found getting coffee's or meals during the day seemed to be much more hit or miss than in previous times too, there seemed to be an issue with getting staff in particular. The 2020's could be turning into the malaise decade....
Another great vid🤓👍🏻been to oatman and all these areas many times from here in British Columbia, by rv and 😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻Dave Merry Christmas and best for new year.
@@TheMissendenFlyer Jeez you’re up early today Andy. Yes it’s hard to decipher what is real and what is staged. I really felt Oatman was the best town on our journey for history and sightseeing etc. loved it. 👌
Another brilliant episode and what a wonderful way to remember one of the founders of this great fundraiser. So it’s the big push to the finish line next week. Was getting so used to the regular Saturday morning Route 66 vlog. Great ride today, Well done Dave and all. Be well and ride safe. The Single Malt is waiting to go on 15k subscribers!
That’s surprising on the service. Americans are usually great on that end. I was in Spain on the Camino in May 2024 with a group of 15. We experienced the same problem. We all wanted to eat and drink and many places turned us away. Why are they in business?
Hilarious Harley bashing😂. I've never seen the appeal and always considered them somewhat agricultural with a bit of modern tech on board. Far better to be on a Goldwing😊
Hi Dave Great episode today I’d like to send you an email if I may as I have something that I think you’ll find interesting about the model T, so if you can send it me please it would be very much appreciated. 👍
Since it was a small town, there's always a chance that someone would see the few gliding through the stop sign and complain. The officer was very politely not only doing his job but was probably proud 👏 to be on u- tube with such a group of folks from another country earning money for a good cause. Many groups of Harleys and other brands travel this country and no longer are thought of as hoodlums. With the price of motos in today's world, better people can be found under their helmets. 😇😇🫡
Another fantastic video, I am really enjoying your trip, donkeys 🫏 and police, what a day great.
Appreciated Dave. Cheers. 👌🏍️🎥

Thanks so much. The finale goes out on New Year’s Day. So sad it’s coming to an end as I have lived the route again vicariously throughout the edit.

@@kendoonan2484 Cheers Ken. Merry Christmas!!
Great video. I remember the donkeys in Oatman.
Fabulous editing as ever Dave, enjoyed that - those old “wild west” towns are something else aren’t they….

Yes you stopped at that one .....
Seligman was also a model for the film `Cars`.
Good to see you enjoying your odyssey Dave, are you still wearing your Daytonas? Still recommend them?
Still love the Daytonas and they get better with age. Love them!
Nice, A bunch of hooligans roaring through town and getting pulled😀
